This beautiful field is hidden: Past the parking lot, past the tennis court, and past the playground you'll find this big green expanse. If you like views, the park seem snug against the beautiful foothills of the area. All the facilities are great. There's plenty of parking, the tennis court and playground are in excellent condition, and there's a well maintained covered area with picnic tables. I've been to two Cottonwood Heights parks today and, at both, have seen Parks Department folks keeping the place tip-top. Bring on the summer fun!

And there it is, at the end of the street. In fact, there's not really any formal parking, just parking along the side of the cul-de-sac. There are a few picnic tables and one pavilion, a water spigot, garbage service, and a playground. The playground is actually pretty cool, and probably the main attraction. Mostly, though, there's a whole lot of grass here. If you want to run free, picnic, or play a game of ultimate, football, or anything else that requires lots of open space, this is your big grassy field. In the back corner there's a chain link backstop, but no real baseball diamond to speak of as it's all grass. Ya, a little strange to be finding this little park in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but strange is good in this case. A nice diversion and certainly in this incredible fall weather, a nice place to get out of the house while we still can.

There's no roads nearby, other than the cul-de-sac, so there's no dangerous streets bordering the park, so you don't have to worry about children crossing the road and getting into trouble. The playground equipment is relativity new and offers a lot of fun climbing, slides, and other unique obstacles. Our little boy loves playing at Harvest Estates Park! There's a baseball area among the large grass field and several large trees that provide ample shade on a hot summer day. There's also a covered picnic pavilion with several Punic tables. The picnic area is a little worn out and the tables are dirty.

Within its 8 acres, Quarry Bend has a little something for everyone: ball fields, walking areas, a nice play-set for the kids, picnic tables a reservable pavilion, an amazing view of the Wasatch Mountains, and spectator seating. I have recently seen a lot of local parks' softball/baseball fields, and QB's two are of the highest quality in grass, dirt, and bases. While I haven't been there at night, the pictures that I've seen great light coverage. My only knock is its got a Walmart right next to it ... as well as a housing development. And it's close enough to the Quarry Bend shopping center, you never fully feel in the tranquility of a park. Still, a lovely place worthy of your company.

As well, there's plenty for the athlete: a full-sized basketball court, baseball/softball, soccer pitch, and a sand volleyball pit. They've got a lot of parking ... maybe too much. There you will find a children's playground, tennis courts, restrooms, shade and a nice grassy play area. Make use of the shaded picnic tables for a lunch. There is also water fountain and a path for children to ride bicycles on. Next time you go on a local picnic with your children, try Golden Hills Park. Plus, if you bring your dog, they have bags to scoop the poop up. The park was clean.

Came here early in the morning for a bird watching walk. It was a gorgeous place to be able to see…read morethe sunrise through the trees and the Mountain View while also having a very easy to walk path alongside water that was paved and wide. In terms of wildlife, they had a small pond at the parking area, which had tons of ducks and I'm pretty sure I also saw a pica which was a first for me. It looked like they also had bathrooms as well as a seating area. I was surprised at how clean everything was and maintained the paved trail was. I definitely recommend coming here for a walk or a run as I felt very safe even by myself at 6am For my birders: There's a pretty good number of species out there, including lesser gold, finches, black Chin, hummingbird, Rufous hummingbird, and others (see photos for an August visit)

At first I just thought this was a trailhead for the Jordan River Parkway Trail. And yes, that's…read moreprobably what a lot of the traffic is about. It's a good place to hop on, and you can go north or south as the trail will take you back under Winchester Street when you park on the north side. But actually, it's more than just a parking lot launching off point. They actually have a small park here, with a rentable pavilion, restrooms, a small playground, tables, BBQs, and as you're close to the Jordan River, you can launch a canoe here, too. There's not a ton of grass, but enough for the kids to run around. However, you should be aware that there's a small diversion of the river to a pond/flow sort of situation in the midst of the park so you won't want to let the kiddos wander too far from where you can keep an eye on them. Once you get too far from Winchester, the trees get a little more sparse, but there's good shade coverage here for those hot summer days. For me, though, it's most enjoyable in the shoulder months when the foliage is turning or in the spring when you just have to get out and take a long walk.

This new Regional Park held a "grand opening" in June 2023, unveiling a huge grassy field, multiple jungle gyms, a basketball court, a Pavillion you may rent, and a restroom facility. Nestled in a residential area, there's sweeping views of mountains all around. Don't even worry about parking....there's LOTS of parking, at least three different lots all around this majestic park. I didn't see any EV chargers though. Maybe those will arrive in future phases? I mean, there's LOTS of space for solar panels and it is blazing with sun.... According to their website, Phase 1 was a $18 million investment from a handful of different organizations. Now, 160 acres is a lot of grass and plants...where is the water coming from to maintain this greenery?
