I had a toilet that was consistently slow to drain and Drain Doctor was recommended to me by a local plumbing company. They were able to come out the same day and very quickly diagnosed the problem-- Nothing was stuck. We needed a new toilet. However, beyond being able to diagnose the problem so quickly, I was struck by the level of customer services. The tech went out of his way not to charge us for the visit. So appreciated! Highly recommended. read more

I've used them four times. All techs have been skilled, friendly, happy to explain any issues, and in two cases went above and beyond to help find a solution. Most recently, when the tech (John?) discovered that the problem was in the main line, he was very patient and helpful about advising me how to proceed. The plumber he recommended was excellent. read more

Everything was going well and Tim had told me they will collect at the end of service. I asked the very sweet man who showed up to help with the drains before he started working if they could invoice my landlord and he said that he would check. When he finished I asked again and he said not to worry we probably have the information. I said great, let me know if you don't happy to write it all down for you. Get a call a few moments later from Tim angrily demanding I pay and that I was going against my word as I had promised to collect at the end. I stayed calm and explained to him the situation and told him if they don't invoice that the man who fixed my drain is very welcome to come back and I'll pay. He did. Won't be using this service again, Tim either needs to communicate with his team better or needs to learn better customer service etiquette. read more

Just want to say that I was very pleased with Drain Doctor's quick response today for it being a Saturday. Hector was very quick and thorough at his job. Would highly recommend this company and won't hesitate to call in the future. read more

What an amazing find. We have used Drain Doctor a few times, and each time, they did an excellent job, on time and at a reasonable cost. We were especially impressed by their recent work on a kitchen sink clog that required coming late at night. Their man (Patrick) was done in under two hours! read more

Fran came promptly on a Saturday to unplug our kitchen sink. Turned out to be a much more complicated and persistent plug in our main outlet pipe which is shared with a neighbor. Fran worked his butt off to figure this out and ultimately fix the problem. He was courteous and efficient. Would definitely use these guys again for any drain issues. read more

Total mess made in basement when the Drain Doctor plumber cleared the clog in the kitchen sink. If Ryan shows up at your house, be prepared to clean up after him. read more

Had a draining problem in the basement so the washer wouldn't spin all the water out. Called Drain Dr. Rob showed up in about 30 mins and took care of everything in about 30-45 mins! My 89-yr. mother got a senior discount. :-) She told me it was a lot less expensive than a plumber or Roto Rooter. As others have mentioned, she received a 90-day warranty on the job. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone having drain issues. read more

Greg showed up today to clear out a heavily clogged basement drain going out to the street. He used a very heavy, commercial grade auger to clear out the drain. He was very knowledgeable, efficient, courteous. In a word he was very professional. read more

Joe from Drain Doctor came out to fix my pipes. He did a great job, he got past the first blockage at 22 feet and clear the pipes, but then went another thirty feet and cleared another two sections of roots in the pipes. Then he checked another line outside out out to 70 feet. Nice to see people take pride in their work! read more

I left them a non-urgent message on Sunday night. Got a phone call the next morning. Sent someone over in an hour. Turns out we weren't having a drain problem but rather needed to update some parts in the toilet. The technician who came out told me exactly what I would need to do to fix it myself and didn't charge me a dime. If were ever actually have a problem they will be the first number I call. This is why I buy local. read more

My grandson Flushed a big beaded necklace down the toilet I'm saying ithe beads were the size of big strawberries it was terrible I called Dr. drain in they came to my house very quick I found them to be very professional and honest and would definitely recommend them read more

I had a very slow drain, but it wasn't completely blocked. Randy came out and in less than 5 minutes he diagnosed my garbage disposal - which I knew was broken but not if it was fixable - and dislodged whatever was slowing the flow because it was blocking the drain that went out of the disposal! My tub that I thought was slow just shaped right up and flowed - like taking your car to be fixed and it just doesn't do what it was doing! He was here and in less than 10 minutes he'd done all this and didn't even charge me! I'd say that was a solid 5! read more

Highly recommend. Our bathroom sink clogged during the pandemic one night so we called drain doctor the next morning. They were able to send someone out within an hour. Hector showed up within 30 minutes and completed the job in under 10 minutes. Gloves on and a mask on which was appreciated. Very professional. Will be using again if we have another issue. read more

Got the Drain Doctors information from Networx Team. Plumber called me, text me and finally when I was able set up an appointment with me. Plumber showed up on time talked to me for 2 minutes and never came back. I called and text the plumber back and he just kept saying he would come back. He never did. I missed two hours at work waiting 4 hours for him to come back and I had to spend additional time to find someone to do a ten minute job. To top it off I am still receiving text messages from plumber. HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

I regretfully used them to clear a bathtub and they made a bad situation worse. My main drain had clogged after they had come to clear the bathtub. Now water was coming up from my toilet and after trying multiple times to get them to come back they finally "offered" to charge me again for coming back to clear a problem that they caused. They were not only unresponsive but rude. I echo Chris O.'s sentiment. The owner apparently does not care about customer service and worse they want to charge for it! I disputed their charge on my credit card and got my money back and they had the nerve to send me to collections! read more

My kitchen drain bother me for few days. I call at 11:30am, Fran come before 12:00, solve the problem in 20minutes, and help me fix the pipe. So happy. Thanks again Fran. read more

A local couple were cycling through Wilmington when a Drain Doctor van pulled up along side them and, with no provocation, a woman opened the van window and screamed at them. Nobody should patronize a business run by people like this. There are many fine and courteous plumbers out there; this is not one of them. read more

I have to post again on their behalf. Maybe there are a host of bad employees and I'm just getting the good guys - but I had another great experience. It was close to Christmas and a very bad smell had invaded our downstairs den. The plumber couldn't find the problem, but suggested that it may be caused by a blocked pipe somewhere. Called Drain Doctor and again - they arrived within two hours. The man spent about half an hour before correctly diagnosing the problem. We have a shower we never use and therefore there was no water in the U-pipe below the shower to block sewer gasses that were backing up into the den. A few cups of water later the smell was gone. The guy they sent was super polite and accurately diagnosed the problem. read more

Matt from Drain Doctor came over yesterday and took care of a very stubborn clog in my toilet. He was on time, extremely courteous, professional, got the issue resolved, and even took care of some scratch marks that I had managed to get on the toilet bowl while earlier trying to clear the clog myself. After he finished, he refused to accept a tip. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend. read more

I got referred to the Drain Doctor by Big Blue Plumbing in Somerville as my basement sink was not draining. He blew the drain out with an air pressure gun and it works good as new!! No complaints!! read more

We had an issue with the main line draining very slowly. We tried different products in the hopes it would clear up the problem but it actually got worse. We called Drain Doctor and are glad we did. The service technician Nick came down and was able to clean out the roots that were causing the problem. He was very polite and professional and solved our problem in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to call them again as both their pricing is reasonable and the service was excellent! My wife is so happy now just to be able to wash clothes again. Thanks! read more

These guys are the best! I've used them twice now, 2 different properties. They will snake your drain and fix your clog in no time! They are nice, courteous, helpful and kind! I highly recommend them! Most recent time was with Randy! He is the best and he was so kind and helpful! Amazing customer service with a huge smile! I really appreciate his help! Thanks again! I wanted to give this business an excellent review! I have had many many plumbers in my home. This was labor day weekend and I knew I was in trouble with a water back up. My condo association called your company and your employee Matt came to rescue. It took a while. This was a relatively big problem. He was polite, professional and efficient. He also cleaned up like no one had even worked in the bathroom. Big big kudos! People spend a lot of time complaining about bad service and not enough time giving compliments. I recommend this company to anyone and everyone! read more

Had a back up at my parents home on a Saturday--called Drain Doctor and they were there within a couple of hours-- they were efficient and professional. Butch was great as he diagnosed what the problem was and took care of the problem quickly! It is nice to be able to find a reliable DRAIN DOCTOR!! read more

John came out to check out our sewer after the city of Cambridge said we had to call a plumber before they would come out and check out the problem of raw sewage backing up into our laundry sink. After he saw the basement situation and checked the manhole and saw that there is a sewage back up he gave us a report and didn't charge us. Really nice guy! Thanks John. read more

So I called a plumber. He couldn't get the job done. But he very nicely recommended me to the Drain Doctor. When the D.D. Came they fixed the issue. They even said we will guarantee the job for 90 days. Ironically I noticed it still wasn't perfect. They came back and adjusted the drain. Then about a week later, I called again. I said the drain is perfect. But the pipes aren't sealed perfect. They came right over and put on a proper sealer. ZERO CHARGE! The total the Drain Doctor charged was $170. My plumber charged me $175 and he didn't get the job done. But he told me about the Drain Doctor! read more

Tech Matt was great , the office Communication need improvement, my drain job required two visits , first request was for camera inspection, second visit was to correct issue found , several days after the job was completed I called to find out how much they charged my credit card ... dispatcher told me $577. Invoice was actually $1,190.oo. I called to find out why the price was doubled and after several attempts & ( being hung up on ) they decided to take money from the technician's time instead of taking responsibility for the lack of communication in the office read more

My shower drain clogged something fierce, called Drain Doctor at 10AM on Monday, Bob showed up at 10:30 and had the drain unclogged by 10:45. It cost $160, I'm not sure how that stacks up, but I couldn't be happier with the speedy service. Bob even told me how to attempt to clear the clogged drain myself in the future by plugging up all the other drains with rags and plunging the clogged drain. Hopefully it never comes to that, but it's good info to have! read more

My sewer main backed up first thing in the morning. I called Drain Doctor at 7:55am and the van pulled up to my house at 8:15am. I know their website advertises fast service but that was pretty amazing! The issue with the main was at the trap, which wasn't immediately visible from the basement. Efran had to call for backup, but Bill showed up quickly and they were able to dig to uncover the trap and cleared the blockage shortly afterwards. The cost was in no way unreasonable for the amount of work and the time it took. Drain Doctor was fast, professional, and friendly. I would (and have) recommended them to friends. I'm happy that I have someone to call for emergencies like this. read more

Live in Burlington and had a first time problem with water backing up in the shower and toilet. First contact was over the phone and the woman I spoke to was polite and professional. She said she would send someone over within an hour or so. And to my surprise, Joe was at my door within the hour. He was friendly and got right to work and answered all of my questions. He had to run 100 feet and the problem was resolved. Paid $225 with a 90 day guarantee. Worth it when you are standing in water on your bathroom floor. Thanks Joe and Drain Doctor. read more

Was really happy with my experience today, I called in the morning at around 9:30 and was quoted an hour or two, and they offered to call me when the person was 30 minutes out so that I wouldn't have to miss too much work. The technician Matt came on time and was extremely efficient, friendly, and taught me about what was going on. Luckily my problem was pretty straight forward, it was just a clogged shower drain, but it was great to get it resolved so quickly. read more

Waste water was backing up onto my basement floor, so I called Drain Doctor, which an appliance repairman recommended to me. It turned into a multi-visit experience through no fault of any of the three technicians. From the people who answered the phone to the technicians who performed the services, everyone was kind, polite, and helpful. Each visit happened promptly, and each technician arrived on time, appropriately masked for this pandemic. Each technician patiently answered my questions, worked incredibly hard, and cleaned up the inevitable leaking mess. Although it was a stressful and week-long experience, largely due to previous homeowners who clearly didn't believe in paying for home maintenance (and apparently didn't read the warning "DO NOT FLUSH" on packages of baby or adult wipes), these guys were great. The problem is not entirely solved yet because a crumbling pipe needs to be replaced (for which a plumber is required), but they were even helpful enough to provide me with the names of several plumbers who deal with jobs like this. I highly recommend this company. read more

Extremely prompt service. They came out within 20 mins to see to my blocked toilet. The technician was very pleasant and dealt with the problem quickly. My one qualm is the cost: $115 for less than 10 mins in my house! It's not horrendous I guess, but still more than I was expecting. read more

Super impressed. I called around 8:45pm on a Saturday night b/c the main drain to our house was backed up, meaning no water can leave the house. They were here by 11pm and were hundreds of dollars less expensive than other companies. They were also the only ones who could get here the same night. They worked on it until around 2:30am and got it fixed. Very nice technician, too! read more

Outstanding service. Called at 8am on fri. They called back within 5 minutes and were here within an hour. Very friendly, very professional. Fee was reasonable and competitive with other drain services I've hired over the years. Highly recommended. read more

Woke up to the smell of sewage in my house. I've lived through the horror of a "backup" and so I immediately called Drain Doctor. Within two hours Bob was at my door. We have recently had a big snowstorm, and in order to clean out my main sewer line Bob had to shovel out a path and clear snow off the bulkhead. He did so very cheerfully, even though that is not part of hie job. He snaked the drain and then checked all the toilets in the house to make sure there were no additional problems. I highly recommend Bob and Drain Doctor. read more
