Not the best first impression: I knew I had a broken or disconnected pipe in my outside shower as…read moreit's been an issue for a few years now with our brutal winters. All the pipes are inside a wall and insulated. That said, James and Michael responded within 24 hours which is a rarity in this area and I really appreciated the promptness. The remedy was a surprise at $600 and the service charge of $96 was even more of a surprise. In short, I wanted to give it some thought. I'm also a strong believer in a second opinion although it's hard to compare "apples to apples." Although a good friend recommended Boot's I had not used them before and perhaps the trust issue was a factor although I had no reason to not trust their opinion of the remedy. Quite coincidentally, a plumber I've known for 25 years was in the neighborhood and stopped by that same day. He fixed the issue, albeit temporary in all likelihood and had the shower running in minutes by simply placing the pipe back in position. Used the shower that evening without incident. In closing, I can't say anything negative nor would I, because they really didn't do anything. He had turned off the water the first day and when he left my house, he didn't turn the water back on.So I was without water from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday afternoon. I went outside to talk to him and he said he was finally here. I told him that I had expected him much earlier in the day because 5 pm is quitting time and he said once again at least I'm here. He started getting an attitude with me and then he said he could just leave right then. When I mentioned he had left the water turned off he just laughed and made a smart remark about it and he left my house and still didn't turn the water back on! He appeared to be on something too because he was slurring his words and staggering. I definitely don't recommend Jason Ramsey to do ANYTHING for me! Very unprofessional. He's not worth one star but you have to put something there!
