We had sewage backing up in both bathrooms. We called the plumber after trying to auger the drain…read morepipes. Justice said he could not recreate the problem, to call drain dawgs if it continued because they're better at drains. He told me he couldn't fix the tub drain top on the bathtub either. That the entire shower and bath unit would need to be pulled out and the entire pipe replaced. Then he charged me $50. As soon as he left the sewage backed up in the bathroom. We called a different plumber who hydrojetted the lines and said there was definitely a clog. That fixed it temporarily so then I contacted Roto Rooter to put a camera in, he located the issue in the front yard close to the city line. Metronet put their line through our drain pipe. So the pipe was broken and the mud kept filling the hole and backing up. This guy didn't offer to investigate or look in to it at all. The bathtub train top was also replaced, along with the toilet wax ring. I didn't have to pull anything out.

Not the best first impression: I knew I had a broken or disconnected pipe in my outside shower as…read moreit's been an issue for a few years now with our brutal winters. All the pipes are inside a wall and insulated. That said, James and Michael responded within 24 hours which is a rarity in this area and I really appreciated the promptness. The remedy was a surprise at $600 and the service charge of $96 was even more of a surprise. In short, I wanted to give it some thought. I'm also a strong believer in a second opinion although it's hard to compare "apples to apples." Although a good friend recommended Boot's I had not used them before and perhaps the trust issue was a factor although I had no reason to not trust their opinion of the remedy. Quite coincidentally, a plumber I've known for 25 years was in the neighborhood and stopped by that same day. He fixed the issue, albeit temporary in all likelihood and had the shower running in minutes by simply placing the pipe back in position. Used the shower that evening without incident. In closing, I can't say anything negative nor would I, because they really didn't do anything. I guess my biggest beef is the service charge and uncertainty of what spending $600 would do to eliminate or dramatically reduce the issue. Danny Shell Emerald Isle, NC 28594

I had contracted All Comfort NC to check on a heat pump. The result was that heat pump failed…read more So, a new heat pump and air-handler was required. All Comfort sent one guy - Tye - to do the installation. They sent the right guy. Tye was a force to be reckoned with. He showed up exactly on time, but alone. This installation requires two men, normally. Normally it's a four hour job for the aforementioned two men. Tye did the installation, alone, in five hours. He worked steadily, quietly, without a break. The man removed the old equipment, installed the new equipment, operationally checked the new installation, and left no mess, at all. The master electrician came in after Tye had left to double check the electrical connections, and indicated Tye had done a masterful job. If you live in downeast Carolina, I highly recommend All Comfort NC, and if you're lucky enough to have Tye show up as your installer, you're in the best hands.

I also needed to create a cover for it.

My home warranty company outsourced them for a service request I submitted for a water heater tank that was leaking in my home. They arrive within an acceptable time frame, given the short notice, immediately diagnosed the issue and contacted the warranty company on the spot to update and confirm permission to proceed. My entire water tank had to be replaced, and since it was technically out of code, they made sure to get the new one installed properly according to code by placing it on a stand as required for garages. I did have to come out of pocket for the stand and the expansion tank, but the warranty covered the cost of the tank itself and his labor. The company is a family owned business, vetern owned and operated and he was very professional, informative, and polite. He let me know whag time he could be there, called to inform me of any delays and arrived promptly according to his word. He and his assistant got everything done very quickly given the circumstances. My garage was very cluttered and the new tank didnt fit in the same spot without me cutting my work bench and he patiently waited for me as I moved things out of the way and cut the work bench so he could place it in the same spot as the old one. Throughout the entire process he explained protocols, his background, answered any questions i had and made good conversation. I am very happy with my new water heater and it looks very neat and professional and these two men did an amazing job and were in great spirits the entire time. It was a pleasant experience and i have tbe utmost confidence that this job was done efficiently and i will not have any further issues!

He does good work, and he goes the extra mile to figure out complex problems and save you money…read more That matters most. Lizard with a ladder also upholds the stereotypes of contractors. We had him out several times, and he missed his promised time every single time. We had to call several times when he forgot he was supposed to be at our job. Still, once he was there, he would work diligently and make every effort to do things the right and best way, not the easiest way. He did not take shortcuts, and you want an electrician who cares about doing your wiring correctly. He also took the time to solve problems we presented that were not part of the original plan, and he added them in at a fair price. This probably explains why he was often late. It can be hard to know how long a job will take, especially when you are doing your best to do things safely and correctly and taking the time to do it right. So we were understanding about that, once at our house, he often stayed longer than scheduled to make sure we were happy and the job was done correctly. We will use him again.
