Lizard with a Ladder

He does good work, and he goes the extra mile to figure out complex problems and save you money…read more That matters most. Lizard with a ladder also upholds the stereotypes of contractors. We had him out several times, and he missed his promised time every single time. We had to call several times when he forgot he was supposed to be at our job. Still, once he was there, he would work diligently and make every effort to do things the right and best way, not the easiest way. He did not take shortcuts, and you want an electrician who cares about doing your wiring correctly. He also took the time to solve problems we presented that were not part of the original plan, and he added them in at a fair price. This probably explains why he was often late. It can be hard to know how long a job will take, especially when you are doing your best to do things safely and correctly and taking the time to do it right. So we were understanding about that, once at our house, he often stayed longer than scheduled to make sure we were happy and the job was done correctly. We will use him again.

He then just tightened the lid back on and STILL forgot to put the rubber seal back on. I know have to spend time unscrewing the the lid myself and put the seal back on. 2.9 out of 5.

I was initially hesitant on using Roto-Rooter since it is a large company. But with my specific system no other company had answer except for Roto-Rooter, who everyone from the call center to Christian in the field had an answer or found an answer for me. Roto-Rooter was the ONLY company within the area to send someone out. Christian used his knowledge in the field and spoke with me about the potential problems, pricing, and remedial actions needed within the system. I highly recommend calling Roto-Rooter for any plumbing needs.

*EDITED REVIEW* The morning after I posted my original review, I got a call from roto rooter saying…read morethat that is not how they normally conduct business and the representative I had spoken to the day prior "had a lot on her plate". Which I do understand but i do not think that gives them a pass for what they had said. They then offered to come out and try to rectify the situation. Two people arrived at my house about an hour later and were able to remove the screw and offered to change out the shower cartridge free of charge in exchange for me either editing or taking down my previous review. They also wanted the names from the original review taken down which I have done. The two men that came to rectify the problem were extremely kind and helpful. They showed me the parts along the way and explained what had gone wrong, and even spent more of their time trying to figure out what the bigger issue was when replacing the cartridge didn't completely fix the problem. I would've been completely happy had they just removed the screw but they did more than expected and changed the cartridge out as well. Overall I had a great experience with them and I do believe that had I spoken to either of them originally there would've been 0 issues. I greatly appreciate the effort they made to come and fix the problem, I just wish I didn't take them getting a bad review to attempt to fix it. ORIGINAL POST:I had a plumber out on March 21st of this year as I was no longer getting hot water to my shower. The plumber that showed up was very nice. He told me he was unsure of what the problem was. His best guess was to change out the cartridge in the shower. The price to replace the cartridge was about $400. I asked how hard it would be if I just ordered the part and tried to replace it myself. He told me it was pretty easy and told me I could look up a YouTube tutorial and then he showed me how to remove the handle on the shower to access the cartridge. He let me take a picture of which cartridge to order if I wanted to do it myself. Later that night after he left, the hot water started working again in the bathroom so I cancelled the follow up repair as it was no longer needed at the time. Yesterday, the hot water stopped working again so I was looking into what I would need to try and replace the cartridge and order the parts. Upon inspecting the handle, the screw to access the cartridge was stripped, leaving no way to access the cartridge. I called today to ask if there was anything they could do about the screw being stripped as their plumber was the last person to touch it. I spoke to a lady who told me she would get ahold of a manager and also the plumber that came to my home and she would call me back. When she called me back she told me the plumber said they had never taken apart the handle and that since it was his word against mine they couldn't do anything about the screw. I explained that i literally watched him take it apart and it was really frustrating to have someone lie about something like that. I asked to have a call back from the manager and she told me she would try to pass my message along but the manager has been "in and out". I ended up calling back and spoke to her again to explain that he had ordered a cartridge for my shower and in order to do that he had taken apart the handle to see which part was needed which proves that he had just lied. She then informed me that her and her husband own the company which is also weird because if you are an owner why did you keep giving me the run around to speak to a manager? She said that since I can't prove he stripped it and they can't prove I stripped it they will not take responsibility. I do acknowledge the fact that it had been over a month since they had come out. However, nobody else had tampered with the shower handle since their employee left. I wish the owner had gone about this a different way rather than say "it's your word against his" when literally all evidence points to her employee lying. Why give me the run around to speak to a manager? It makes no sense.

My home warranty company outsourced them for a service request I submitted for a water heater tank that was leaking in my home. They arrive within an acceptable time frame, given the short notice, immediately diagnosed the issue and contacted the warranty company on the spot to update and confirm permission to proceed. My entire water tank had to be replaced, and since it was technically out of code, they made sure to get the new one installed properly according to code by placing it on a stand as required for garages. I did have to come out of pocket for the stand and the expansion tank, but the warranty covered the cost of the tank itself and his labor. The company is a family owned business, vetern owned and operated and he was very professional, informative, and polite. He let me know whag time he could be there, called to inform me of any delays and arrived promptly according to his word. He and his assistant got everything done very quickly given the circumstances. My garage was very cluttered and the new tank didnt fit in the same spot without me cutting my work bench and he patiently waited for me as I moved things out of the way and cut the work bench so he could place it in the same spot as the old one. Throughout the entire process he explained protocols, his background, answered any questions i had and made good conversation. I am very happy with my new water heater and it looks very neat and professional and these two men did an amazing job and were in great spirits the entire time. It was a pleasant experience and i have tbe utmost confidence that this job was done efficiently and i will not have any further issues!

I am writing this review today because the blower in my HVAC unit has gone bad. Drain Pros…read moresubcontracted out the job and I found out that they over charged me by an insane amount. I contacted drain pros to a person named Brad who was the point of contact for the sale and installation of the unit. Brad sent a tech over to my house who was very disrespectful and rude to my wife, and literally just said that yes the unit is bad. The unit went bad on June 28 and Brad said that he ordered the warrantee replacement blower on the same day and it would be there the following Monday. I never received a call or any message from him. Today, July 18th, I called him back to get told that the part was possibly not in and that was the reason he had not called me back and then when I told him that we have been without any cooling for over two weeks and I did not appreciate no contact he told me that I could "fucking call somebody else to do it then", I told him I didn't appreciate the language and that since his company was responsible for the warranty I expected him to follow through or I would file a complaint with the BBB. He then proceeded to say "go ahead and do it you fucking faggot" and hung up on me. I still do not have a replacement blower for my unit which is under warranty and I am unsure of how to get it. Whatever you do, stay away from this piece of shit. He will either rip you off or not stand behind any of his work. He has no integrity and for him to start cussing at a customer that he should be taking care of when he does the work and gets thousands of dollars to have somebody else put in a unit is just ridiculous. Weeks later from our HVAC unit breaking down we are still without air conditioning and I have a child and exotic animals and he doesn't care one bit he just wants to make a profit.
