This place is not worth going to. The pizza was soggy and floppy. Our food took 45 minutes. All we ordered was a non-custom pizza and onion rings. The employees made no effort to do anything but hold the floor down and yell to one another that they haven't started any component of our meal yet. The only employee actually worrying about anyone being served was the woman making the pizzas. They served us our appetizers with the pizza instead of before, which was especially offensive since our food took a long time. There were also about a dozen flies buzzing around and a perpetually out-of-order bathroom with a sign telling me to use the mall bathroom. The mall was closed. I would not come back here. read more

Drangonfire is one of the best places in the area to grab a quick, inexpensive bite. The pizza, specifically the crust shines in comparison to the other pizza by the slice place here in Ellsworth. They may be a spin-off of that one? But trust me when I say they adopted the good qualities and left behind the bad. Their wings are excellent, with multiple sauce options. Slices are large and customizable. The staff are kind and laid back--the kitchen atmosphere seems great. They are familiar with their regulars, and chat with them. I enjoy the music and the vibes I get when I come in for a slice. The reason I am giving four stars is I recently tried their bbq chicken sub and it was subpar, the lettuce was placed on the sub before it entered the oven for toasting, resulting in a rather soggy experience. I wouldn't have objected to the lettuce being placed on the side so this didn't happen. Additionally, I think the bbq sauce could be thickened, or use another brand? The flavor was lacking! Awesome! Pizza was really good. And they were super friendly and accommodating for my 2 year old son who has a good allergy, even bringing a product description from out back so we could have a look ourselves at the ingredients. Not impressed. Was told this was best pizza in town. Not the case. I ordered two small pizzas. Was told the order would take 45 minutes. Not a big deal. I arrived to pick up my pizza 45 minutes. Was told it would be another 10, no issues. Pizzas were ready and they looked good. I live less then 10 minutes away and it's not that cold out. Both pizzas were cold. Plus they really were not that good. Very light on the sauce and cheese. Won't be going back. read more

For me pizza is all about the CRUST! Dragonfire NAILS the crust-absolutely delicious! Crusty where it needs to be, and soft and chewy too...plus that wood fired taste can't be beat. It was just OK. Won't be back. Waited almost an hour for a 2 topping pizza. Ordered a 16" but it was maybe 13" - 14". When you walk in, there's no "order here" signs, so there's just a bunch of people standing around; some waiting for their order, some to order. ( it was busy & confusing to people coming in). There's 2 cashiers - one takes cash & charge, the other only charge. No signs telling people this. So if you get in the charge only line & want to pay cash, you'll have to go to the other line & wait again!! Crust was a bit chewy & way too thin! Sauce tasted ok but was heavy in some areas & light in others. Not enough cheese. Also, there's 1 tv screen displaying 2 menus. As you're trying to read what's on the specialty pizzas, what's on the fries, etc, the screen switches. There was also a lady (customer) who seemed to know the pizza maker, who was loud, running around & at one point reached under the glass & was grabbing/touching cups used for soup/takeout. I had all but given up ever having real pizza before going home, but this place was the surprise of the summer. The pizza is EXCELLENT, and that's coming from a native NYer. I would give it ten stars if I could. They've nailed the thin crust, fantastic sauce and real mozz (not that cheap crap I've been encountering everywhere else). We also had salads, which were very good as well. Not only is the food over the top, but they are the friendliest bunch of people, which really makes this one of the best experiences around. The Greek salad was a good size and good. Chicken wings were good. Pizza...well, unless we ordered the wrong kind of pie it was not so good. Should have stuck with a traditional pepperoni and not adventured into veggie etc with white sauce. The crust was wimpy. Not what you'd expect from a wood fired pizza oven. Speaking of such...by the appearance of the flame, I suspect it was a propane fired oven. Lots of high reviews for this place. Maybe we hit it on an off night. Who knows? read more

I do not support this business. We have tried it twice and If I could give a negative 10 I would, this was hands down the worst "restaurant" pizza I have ever had gas stations don't even have pizza this bad. My pizza was still raw in the middle and the last last time we were there it was so burnt my child couldn't even eat it. The pizza tastes like they marinate it in the ocean overnight. read more
