WORST service last night 2/20/2026! Wife and I were 1 of 3 tables being served = not busy at 530pm. We ordered and food came out luke warm, come on waitress! She kept getting lost somewhere (probably texting in the middle wait staff area). 3 staff at the hostess podium doing nothing, I had to get up and get take out containers and bill. I know what happens when customers send food back to the kitchen. I had no problem giving NO TIP and the explanation. I went to talk to manager but he was busy running around serving people at the bar. Oh also 2 waitresses at the cash register YUP....doing nothing. Manager needs to allocate work to others and train staff on customer expectations. Also carpet need to be replaced in the dining room. SKIP THIS PLACE! read more

I've seen the signs for this restaurant on 95 for so long and we finally decided to stop. It's tucked behind another building with not the best signage, so it can be challenging to spot. It's kind of dark inside but it's clean. The service was generally good. The food was average but not pricey. It's not worth a special stop at all, but it's a calm place to sit down and have a meal instead of the fast food along 95. read more

We grabbed two lunch specials for takeout on a weekend. Pickup was convenient and easy, but can't really speak to service fully. Food was standard American Chinese food, great portion sizes and value. I'd review it as 3 stars because it was a very standard take out Chinese food experience in taste. read more

Although we were very impressed with the portion sizes (no seriously, we could barely make a dent in the 1 generous Rangoon appetizer we split between 4 adults!), the atmosphere was comfortable and tailored to the local scene, and the staff was attentive and polite, we left a little disappointed in the flavor profile. The batter on the crispy beef lacked seasoning, the pork fried rice needed heat or garlic or chili, and while we loved the light and airy crackers, a spicy mustard was needed to balance the sweeter-than-typical duck sauce (which was also more brown like oyster sauce). By far, the egg drop soup was a winner! Rich, velvety and comforting! The sesame chicken was moist and tender inside and yet the batter stayed crispy under the sauce! Overall, we are eager to doctor up our leftovers with some chili oil, sriracha and spicy mustard to amp up the flavor because the general quality of the ingredients is there...just needs a more adventurous helping from the spice cabinet. read more

I don't know if it's because we are from out of state, but the food was terrible. The fried rice was BLACK and I expected it to be salty from soy but it was flavorless. The inky flavor was in the onion and I had to chew it to taste it.. the chicken and broccoli was awful. The chicken was dry and rubbery, the broccoli was overcooked. The favor was off and I could t place it, it wasn't ginger or garlic it was just bitter. The egg roll was soft and undercooked and the vegetables in it were odd. I've had a lot of egg rolls and the cabbage is always shredded or thinly sliced, Therese weee whole chunks but wasn't even cabbage, it was More Like spinach or kale.. WAY TOO SWEET! I get that 'American' Chinese food is going to have different tastes, but this place eschews Soy Sauce as a main flavor for corn syrup. We started our meal with dumplings and egg drop soup - both were standard faire. Unfortunately, things went down hill as we moved on to our main dishes. I had the Szechuan beef - normally a spicy dish with deep umami flavors. What I got was amount to sweet and spicy beef, with an emphasis on sweet. The sauce was more clear than any other color and tasted of caramel above anything else. The portion was a nice size, but it wasn't what I expected for this dish. Similarly, the Chicken Lo Mein tasted like spaghetti in corn syrup as well. I enjoy properly made noodle in wok dishes due to the wok hay (a specific aroma you get from the heat of the pan), which was absent from this dish. Again, it tasted like sugary chicken and noodles. I cannot speak to the sushi side of this restaurant, but if I were to go here again I'd probably stick to the appetizers. read more

One of my favorite sushi places to sit at the bar, enjoy some good food and drinks. The bar area is right when you walk in. It is a long bar with plenty of seats, bright, clean and always has a friendly bartender hosting. The food comes out, hot and fresh. The crab rangoons are crispy but the inside melts in your mouth. The sushi selection is expansive, I usually order the sweet potato or the mango. Definitely one of my go to's. read more

We ordered takeout from here so this review is based on the takeout experience. We're visiting family that lived nearby and had more family from Massachusetts visit as well. We ordered takeout for about 9 adults. The order was placed via telephone and everything seemed to be smooth. Since my husband and I were paying by card, we placed our order separately to make things easier. We went the pick up the order about 30 minutes later and the food was ready. We paid for it there and were on our way. The restaurant was pretty big and it had a big bar. It was in an odd location though, right behind a gas station. Once we got home, everybody got their food. Except for me, I ordered the general tsao lunch combination which supposed to come with soup; I asked for hot and sour soup. It was a 15 minute drive there and we were already home and the family were ready to eat. I did not want to drive back to get a thing of hot and sour soup plus I was starving. The portions were small so that hot and sour soup would have hit the spot. On a positive note, the rice and chicken were perfectly seasoned. If I order there again, I would make sure to order the dinner combo and make sure everything is there before we left the restaurant. Yes, that's a STAPLE in the dumpling! Sadly disappointed with Dragon Palace. This is our 1st time ordering from there, and I told the girl on the phone that we have a nut allergy if she could tell the kitchen, since their menu says to inform the staff is there is a food allergy. She responded with "not to worry we don't cook with nuts." Ummm....there's cashew chicken on the menu. After picking up the food we get home and the lomein smells like something died in the box! I've never smelt lomein that smells rancid. Putting that aside we figured we might be safe with the dumplings....NOPE! We get to the bottom of the box and there's a STAPLE IN THE DUMPLING! WTF?! My family often orders take out from here and they have really good food! Sometimes there's a long wait, but the sushi is definitely worth it. I recommend trying the brown dragon roll (or Mario roll is a similar cheaper option), those are my favorite things to get. Very filling and worth the money. I think much of the negative reviews are due to business, they sometimes have an hour long wait. Plus if you order in and out you on hold, I don't think they have an actual way to put the phone on hold so you hear some conversation in the background. We got takeout last night at the Wakefield location. I have never had a good experience at this location and last night was no exception. I have a severe gluten intolerance and asked if they could prepare my meal without any breading or batter. The young lady put me on hold to check if this was possible. She came back on and said it was fine. I placed my order as well as two other orders. It was New Year's Eve and I was told the wait for pick up was an hour and a half. No problem. when I arrived an hour and a half later I was told they could not honor my request for an allergy accommodation! I asked why they told me they could when I placed the order. Eventually I placed another order for myself and then waited an additional hour for our food. The atmosphere in the lobby was one of chaos and disorganization- many people were waiting to pick up their takeout orders. When I came in there was a large paper bag of take out on the counter. It sat there for a hour. Finally a man who had been waiting for over a hour asked if his order was nearly ready. That bag that had been sitting on the counter for over an hour was his. Never again at the Wakefield location. I can only assume that the problem is management because I always have a very good experience at the Wyoming location. It's worth the longer drive to go to the Wyoming location. read more

Coventry Dragon Palace must be cooking batches of fried rice and letting it sit around because it never seems to be hot enough. Egg rolls as well. Not much flavor in the egg rolls. Boneless spare rib are well seasoned but seem to be overcooked. Won Ton soup could use some vegetables such as snap peas, or maybe some thin slices of pork. When reviewing I should have added that I'm talking about takeout that involves a 10 minute ride. read more

The restaurant just opened, me and my party walk in and see 6 servers talking and messing around. We got seated and waited 10 minutes and no one even came over to ask us for water. We then asked for service and they said "sure right away". Another 10 minutes pass, still no service. We got up and left. We're waiting in the car trying to figure out were we are gonna to do next for dinner. The manager comes out to the car and asks us what happened. The manager must have not been monitoring the servers not doing anything. We have been going to this location for a while so I cant give it a bad rating. read more

The restaurant smells like urine and the food doesn't taste fresh. The menu says imported beers are $3.50 but they charged me $5.25. The waitress apologized but the owner refused to change the bill. The restaurant is a good size and staff is friendly. I have not dined in the restaurant but have ordered take out. Food comes out quick and hot. Sushi is alright got a few different rolls including spicy tuna. I enjoyed their beef chow fun with sauce and eggplant with garlic sauce. My husband enjoyed the beef teriyaki and had the scallop sashimi. For this location, we would say this is our favorite place for Asian food. For a Chinese restaurant, they managed to surprise me with the great sushi options. Not only is their menu miles long but their food was definitely up to par. On this particular visit, we went with their Brown Dragon maki, salmon sashimi and the Scallop Yaki rice. All three were quite tasty. I mean, anything with spicy tuna and eel has to be, right? Their sashimi was very fresh albeit a bit on the expensive side for 2 pieces. We also enjoyed our rice dish but be warned that in this case, it's a much lighter healthier fried rice than what you're used to but we loved it and that was exactly what fit the bill for us. read more

Met up with my cousin to have drinks before the fair because it was pretty close to the grounds. The restaurant itself was really nice,very clean and looked good. I didn't try the food but my cuz and her hubby did and their food looked delicious. They said it was great and they're picky eaters. My bf and I shared a couple volcano bowls and they were excellent. Our waitress was super cool and really friendly. The setup was nice too, a big bar to the left and a decent size dining room to the right. I would definitely come back and try the food!!! read more

This place surpasses all expectations. For me it's about a 20 minute drive but so beyond worth it. This place blows every Chinese place in the area out of the water. The crab Rangoons were some of the best I've ever had. The beef and broccoli was super fresh and PIPING hot even after the ride home. Ughhhh! So I was visiting the area and I decided to try this place. I looked at their 7 plus page menu on their site and it was very overpromising (ranges from a lot different province cuisines Cantonese, Szechuan, etc) and they offered Japanese too. I wasn't sure whether to be skeptical or impressed. I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and try something out of my comfort zone. I went with Szechuan shrimp. I had Szechuan shrimp in the past so I did have a benchmark for this. I was not impressed at all. I think it was one of those dishes that they don't really receive an order for and it was winged on the spot. First of all, it was served in a Chinese takeout container. It's a gravy heavy dish, like why?? It wasn't even spicy, which is key for Szechuan. It wasn't overfilled with veggies and overall very disappointing. Total was $14.95. We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since the Oceanview in Narragansett closed several years ago. We've been to most of the restaurants in the area and some are a bit better than others but there are no real stand-outs. We were very excited to try Dragon Palace given the reviews hoping this would be our new favorite spot! I was delighted as I went in to pick up our take out. What a beautiful big restaurant! I looked forward to returning after the pandemic. We ordered the two main dishes "extra spicy" because even though they were both noted with a chili pepper notations in the menu, we like our food spicier than most do. We were so disappointed. Let's start with the won ton soup. It was the best thing we brought home but don't take that to mean it was tasty. There were few dumplings in it, but the container was mostly filled with cabbage and chicken "fingers" (strips). The next dish, the steamed dumplings, were the worst I've ever tasted and I order them wherever I go! They were dough-y and hard, maybe stale? The stuffing was tasteless. They're usually my favorite part of the meal. I couldn't eat these. I'm not sure how to describe the roast pork fried rice. I've never seen anything like it. Upon opening, the container was black as if the contents had been in a fire! I tasted them and they tasted like quinoa! Maybe they had been burned and then I guess they drenched in soy sauce to cover it up? I'm only guessing. It was disgusting. Finally, the two dishes we ordered extra spicy were not at all. The roast pork in black bean sauce wasn't horrible, there was plenty of roast pork pieces and an overwhelming amount of green and red peppers. But the worst plate of all was the chicken in spicy garlic sauce. There were chicken fingers overwhelmed by asparagus and zucchini! I've never had a Chinese dish with zucchini and asparagus. We'd selected this specific dish thinking it was a basic dish but it wasn't recognizable. And it wasn't edible. We ended up throwing it away which was a shame but we knew neither of us would want it for leftovers. We'll be crossing this restaurant off the list! read more

Dragon Palace makes my tummy & my wallet happy. It's a win-win, really. My fiancé and I go here every Friday, and our weekly date nights would not be complete without this place! Let me tell you, the sushi is delicious and fresh. We always get take-out, and many times when we get there to pick it up, we're still waiting because they're so busy - which I see as a really good thing. Ever go to a Chinese food place and you're the only one in there? Yikes. But Dragon Palace is always hoppin' on a Friday night with both people dining in and getting take-out. I recommend the Rainbow Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and pretty much anything else on the hand roll menu. Also, the Kani Sald is out of this world. It consists of long slivers of cucumber, imitation crab meat, avocado, and spicy mayo. Ooooh wee it is scrumptious. The Chinese menu is great as well (they have dang good crab rangoons), but we usually don't stray too far from the Japanese menu. If you've never been to Dragon Palace, the time is now! I can not believe I am the first person to review this place! I don't come here frequently enough sadly. The food really is excellent Chinese cuisine. They offer everything from pu pu platters to sushi. The menu is very extensive and has something for everyone. I really enjoy their house fried rice it has everything in it and it comes in a heaping mound that can feed the whole family. I usually come with a large group and we all get different dishes. I have never heard a complaint yet. I wish I had a Dragon Palace closer to home, it would become my second home =] read more

If you are looking for a quiet place tucked away in a convenient location off the highway, this is a great place for you. The décor is modern and there is plenty of seating for large parties. The bar can seat 10-15 people and there several high tops as well. I usually start off with a "Kyle Special".. This is a delicious alcohol concoction that the manager created. For appetizers.. I usually do edamame, some sushi like the dragon and spider rolls, and crab rangoons.. They have some of the best crab rangoons which are not too sweet and the perfect mix between creamy and smooth. For dinner.. I'm a huge fan of the house special pan fried noodle.. I love that they have a quality mix of vegetables that includes bak choy; the crispy noodles soak up some of the sauce which creates a dual texture; and there is hearty mix of shrimp, beef and chicken. One of my favorites seafood dishes is the crispy scallops and shrimp.. Thy are deep fried with a perfect coat of seasoning.. A must try it you like fried seafood! we have been dining at dragon palace for so many years ... over the past year (2024) the food has been considerably less enjoyable. and the prices have risen so greatly; yet the food and portions decline! the waitstaff are wonderful - always have been.. the restaurant is clean ... and kept clean ( i think!) ... .with all this said, we have decided not to order from d/palace any longer. tired of returning home with takeout that is bland, over-priced and just not good --- such a big change! i had thought we were the only ones until several neighbors and such voiced the same thoughts/concerns... when one orders beef and broccoli and the beef is grizzled and just plain not good - or the fried rice (pork) now tastes as though it has been watered down, i think these are all signs we need to ponder! i am sad for this, but we will no longer patronize dragon palace in wyoming ri .. .we still wish them success and prosperity!
