We dined here today and last Sunday. Both experiences were wonderful. We are die hard sushi lovers, and are usually disappointed with sushi quality at other restaurants in the area. The sushi here is fresh and delicious. We love the salmon lovers platter. My son got the egg foo yung and the pork fried rice, he loved it. The decor is beautiful. I have 2 kids, the youngest is 18 months and can get a little antsy. The staff spoils him with attention (especially one waitress in particular), and they care all friendly and helpful. This place has a great location on the corner of Burnside and Cleveland Ave in Gresham. The parking is great and even though it was busy there were plenty of spaces and we didn't have to walk far to the front door. The Koi and Goldfish pond was great to look at while we waited for our seats. The staff was friendly and even joked with us which is not something you get very much of these days, people are so often too afraid to offend. I had an alcoholic milkshake which was very good not too sugary and had a great presentation. The food was cooked quickly and wasn't so hot that it burned but was just right. My friend who went to dinner with us works as a professional chef and told us that these things were cooked fresh not frozen (I would never be able to tell but he was impressed all the same). The staff made sure our drinks were always filled and asked promptly to remove our empty plates and glasses. The food was generously proportioned and it was a fantastic price for the amount we received. I ordered the broccoli chicken which was so good I am going back this week to get more (it was steamed just right not a soggy mess or too crispy). Their crab puffs were quite good and weren't too greasy like most Asian food places. I can't say enough good things about this place!!! The China Hut used to be mine and my husband's favorite Chinese place (but since the old owners sold it, it has really gone downhill). I now have a new favorite!!!! read more

I never showed this place the time of day because I always thought it was closed amd looked run down. Got a recommendation to go there so my boyfriend and I went there 12/14/15. Walking in it was pretty cool, it was clean and smelled nice. Wait staff was friendly. The inside was super nice and clean, lots of seating if you ever dine with a lot of people. Whoever took over this place put a lot of work into it. The service was quick ( maybe because it was pretty slow when we got there but it picked up) the menu was easy to follow. We ordered food and egg rolls (which for 2 for $4.50 could be bigger) the food was super tasty and the portions were definitely enough for one person....the chicken was a bit dry but it was still really good. Our waitress Crystal was prompt and was great about checking on us. The best part is when you go to pay they actually being a portable debt/credit machine to your table. I highly recommend trying Dragon Palace out, its worth it. read more

This restaurant is not good. The restaurant is a large restaurant with lots of seating and clean. There is a revolving sushi bar and many tables. The hot and sour soup was good although a little sweet. This was the best part. The crab puffs and chow mei blah. The Ma pa tofu was good but too m at onions. More like fast food to me or if you want to carb load in a nicer environment this is ok. I won't go back unless I wanted that. read more

Being new to the Gresham area we were looking for a place to get good Chinese food, And so glad we stopped here and have returned twice more. Service was very good and fast and the food excellent. Food was OK, but when asked if I get chicken and instead of barbecue pork wake just said no problem we can do that, sound great until I got my bill and they marched me an extra $2 for the substitution without even telling me that it would be extra $2 for it and would not take off it. Decided I'd try this restaurant out on a date before going to a concert in Portland last night. I ordered a scallop and vegetable plate, my boyfriend ordered orange chicken and we ordered 2 small sushi plates to share. First off, our sushi took a long time and they were apologetic but then we only got half of what we ordered because they were out of salmon. Pretty sure we got the wrong sushi. Our food came and I got a different dish than what I ordered because the server entered it incorrectly. I got shrimp and scallops. The scallops were what I took a few bites of first then realized there was hair in my food. The server, and 2 others came to look at the hair and left the freaking plate in front of me instead of taking it away. The correct order came out in about 2 minutes and the scallops were raw in a hot dish. The first dish they were cooked perfectly in. I don't think it was safe to eat (I had already lost my appetite) and when I talked to a guy upfront about it he said I shouldn't have ordered that dish and that they were supposed to be mushy like that. Huh guy? Then he handed me a $5 gift card... I'm never eating at this place again. read more

The food was amazing. The service is why I bumped it down to 4. the place has been open for a while, but when I ordered a drink (mojito) they didn't have the ingredients. So I ordered an amaretto sour, and when the server got back with it she made it sound like she made the drink, and wasn't sure if she did it right. It put me off a little bit. Enjoyed my experience in this restaurant. The ceiling is beautiful. We had a wonderful waitress who handled our large group with great aplomb. I enjoyed the food and would have awarded five stars but for the fried rice. If they changed that - stellar. Unfortunately, it is a bit lacking. The building is awesome, but as for the service and the sushi... not so much. I have been here twice and both times the sushi and service was good. Since then, something happened. My wife and I sit down at the sushi bar, and notice the conveyer belt with sushi. I tried a tempura roll, and it was cold and soggy as if it had been sitting there for at least an hour. So we decide to order sushi rolls, they made it relatively fast. Set it on the counter and rang the bell... and we waited. Our rolls sat there for about five minutes, as servers walked by and failed to notice they were there. Finally I asked the guy behind the sushi bar what rolls they were, and sure enough they were ours. The rolls themselves were not very pleasing, I told our server that they were okay and she took one roll off of our bill. That is the only reason I gave them two stars. If you want to go somewhere for sushi DO NOT GO HERE. Disappointed and I won't be back. read more

Let me start by complimenting the atmosphere. It is by far beautiful. Probably one of the most gorgeous Chinese restaurants I have been in. But we all know you don't go to a restaurant just because it's pretty. You go for the food. The crab puffs were really good! I wish I could say the same about the main corse. Every single one of their dinner combo has sweet and sour chicken. Let me repeat... EVERY SINGLE ONE. The last two add on Mongolian beef and kung pow along with... SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN. I cannot stress how disappointed I was to see this. Their sweet and sour chicken was nothing but hard chunks of deep fried chicken with a little sweet and sour sauce drizzled on it. The sides were average sides. Chow mein tasted like every other chow mein I have had. Rice tasted like every other rice I have ever had. BBQ beef was pretty good I just wish that their red sauce that they serve to dip stuff with did not come laced with spicy mustard... along with more spicy mustard on the side. All in all this was their second chance to make me want to eat there. A second chance after eating in opening month and I am no convinced that I will give them no more chances. The bar tipped this place to three stars, although I would've given it two otherwise. I went without eating utensils for 10 minutes or so while my food got cold. On top of that, my oldest daughter waited even longer to get her food, which wasn't even what she asked for. 10 minutes later, they helpfully told her that they did not have what she requested. Was really hoping for this place to be a chinese food go to spot. Sushi was alright, but the kung pao chicken we ordered was terrible. Absolutely no flavor - we ordered some sweet and sour sauce to help get over the bland taste, but disappointed again in that it tasted like it had been sitting in a metal can for days...had a weird metallic taste to it. Overall not a good experience. The service was terrible and all the staff was rude. When we first walked in the host asked how many where in our party and I said 3 and she proceeded to bring us to our table giving us two menus and two place settings as we clearly had three in our party. We where never gave water and when we asked to order drinks the server said she would be right back. After waiting for quite some time the server came back and asked us if we where ready to order we said yes assuming we would be able to order drinks and she told us she was taking our food order and she would be back to take our drink orders (last time I checked drink orders where taken first) we decided to order a boat of sushi as a appetizer and after we would order more rolls as we wanted so we ordered the boat first. After ordering the boat we waited 20-30 minutes for the boat of sushi witch was crazy given that the restaurant only had one other party that had already been served. When our boat arrived the waitress set it on our table and proceeded to give me the bill and had me pay immediately and when I was gave the recipe she had added in a 15% tip. No stars. Wonderful remodel. Food smelled great. Was a 15 minute wait for the dining area. We chose the lounge where there was no wait. Seat yourself, we did. Waited 15 minutes at our table without water or a menu. The lounge/bar was not busy however the young lady bartending was "busy" talking with people and not working. The server who was working her tail off notified the bartender, twice, we were waiting. The table beside us notified the bartender we were waiting. Nothing but a smirk as we walked out. We have waited for this restaurant to open since we started watching the remodel & new landscaping. We were not disappointed. Beautifully decorated & very clean. We've tried many different places for a good Lo Mein . There's is the best we've had. Every item we ordered was delicious & there is no MSG in any of it. My wife & I got the combo order from the back of the menu,(I'm not sure what's its called but it's $15.95 per person) but I got the broccoli beef & she got the orange chicken. Both were really good. The order came with shrimp, rice, two spring rolls, BBQ pork & our choice of soup. Over all we thought it was very good and would for sure go back. The interior also looks really cool. read more
