The only pho place in chula vista worth eating at. There broth is properly cooked without the excessive use of msg. The noodles is cooked to perfection which brings out the flavor of the broth. The meat is fresh and of very good quality. The tripe is cleaned well and very tender not chewy at all. The brisket is amazing just melts in your mouth. Ordered food here two times when I was near the area. First time, I ordered a beef bowl with noodles, bean sprouts, egg roll with a sweet and sour sauce. Came back the other day and ordered another bowl with their pork sandwiches and I was in Cloud 9. J/K. Food was excellent and customer service was great. The lady taking my order let me try some samples and when I ate inside, offered me a glass of water free of charge. This is the spot if you're craving for tradition Vietnamese food or any asian cuisine. Highly recommend this place. Pho: Amazing. Banh Mi: Amazing Eggplant Tofu (in a black bean and red pepper sauce): oh man... YUM Service is considerate, friendly and polite without being too casual. The food is FRESH FRESH FRESH. The sandwiches came on rolls that had crunchy flaky crusts, and a light chewy inside. The fresh vegetables for the "side" of the pho were fresh and green and crisp. The second entree was disappointing - expected Shitake Mushrooms and Snow Peas, ended up with Oyster (?) Mushrooms and Sugar Snap Peas. I just ordered delivery and I was definitely satisfied with the service and my order. I ordered at 8:12pm and the man on the phone taking my order was nice. He sad they'll "...package it up and get it there asap." A gentleman came to my door at 8:38 and was also very polite and grateful for my business. The food was hot... YES!!! And was exactly what I ordered... Order of Cream Cheese WonTons, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Vegi Lo Mien. It was satisfying, I would for sure order again. We were looking for a new Chinese restaurant as our usual go to place hasn't been very good lately. This is it! Not fancy, but who cares! The food is very good! Cream cheese wonton: very fresh, crispy on the outside, melted on the inside- yummy! Wonton soup: a little different from usual wonton soup, but very tasty. Orange chicken: sauce was very good and you could tell the chicken was freshly cooked. Lemon chicken: not lemony enough, but good just the same. Beef w/ snow peas: very light and tender beef, snow peas still crispy ( my son inhaled it). Service was outstanding. Water glasses were never empty. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back and try some new things. Update: went in for lunch and got a combo plate. While it was inexpensive it wasn't all that good. My son had pho. He didn't like it very much either. This review is way late (sorry). I'm including a pic because they're temporarily closed until April (I went there today not knowing and was sorely disappointed). I've been coming here for the last decade, especially after a morning spent at the Living Coast Discovery Center 3 blocks away (check it out if you like nature). The owners are super nice and helpful and the food is excellent. They have the prepared food in heated trays but you really want to get the banh mi ("ban me' - grilled pork with pickled onions and carrots, jalapenos, and cilantro, over a fresh, warm mini-baguette - best I've found in SD), the bun ("boon" - vermicelli with egg rolls and grilled pork). Everything we ordered here was packed with flavor. Ordered their banh mi. Very well prepared. Meat was good. Marinated perfectly and the bread man when they say slightly toasted it was exactly that. It was fresh evenly toasted. Service was great. I think we had the owner serving us and she was very nice. A tentative and very social for a restaurant very welcoming its like you were a guest in their house well in this case it's their restaurant. Perfect place for a quick bite or sit in and eat. The bahn mi was plainly amazing and only $4, I added the 2 plate combo for 6$.. lo mein was actually included which technically made it a 3-plate combo. Want a quick eat for a good price?? I was in an out within 3 minutes. This is the place to go. My coworker recommended that I try the garlic chicken here and I must say it's really delicous. I came here after someone on yelp recommended it. I love their egg rolls and their banh mi is probably the best I had since moving down here from nor cal. It's family owned so it looks like just the two of them helping out on the floor, so it takes awhile to get our food. Points docked because of it along with seeing 2 people seated at a 6 person table while all the bigger groups were on smaller tables with a full house.
