In the beginning of January I tried calling the store phone listed on google but every time I called, the phone said the line is busy and to try again. I tried reaching out on Yelp and on their instagram page, explaining that the phone was not working but I was left on "seen" 2 different times. I didn't want to be a bother but I spent $120 on the Groupon so I needed some answers. I voice called the instagram page & the person who answered said they were only the social media manager and they were not in charge of booking so eventually they took my name and number so the shop owner could get back to me. I got a call soon after. When I got on the phone with the owner, we discussed that TODAY (Jan 15) at 5:30 was a time that worked for both of us to have the private pottery class for 2. I literally drove 2 hours to Catonsville to use this $120 Groupon. I planned another visit after august to use this $120 Groupon... just to get to this stupid shop to find that it is closed. I tried calling the number and surprisingly it didn't say the line was busy! But it did say they were quarantining for a week... sorry you have to do that but it's actually ridiculous that I had a reservation for a service & I couldn't even get a phone call or email to know that my reservation would be cancelled and need to be rescheduled. . I'm not going to lie, it feels a little racist because if I was any other color, I would gotten an instagram response instead of having to call & I'm sure I would have been extended that warning before driving 2 hours out of my way to use a $120 Groupon this weekend. Because twice a day for the last 8 days someone from Yelp! has been calling this number and leaving long, rambling messages asking to discuss this very listing with the business owner. Not once have I answered (the number isn't even tied to a real phone, I just use it for texting). I've heard bad things about Yelp! in the past but I've never been on the receiving end of their advertising/sales department's inability to take a hint. They get 1 star.
