I needed some singles to use the water refill machine so I asked the cashiers if I could get $5 or $10 in singles. There were no customers at either register and the older lady told me I would have to buy something to get change and I said I was buying water and will be shopping after that. She then said with a very snippy attitude that it didn't matter I will have to buy a candy bar to get change. I was livid! With Jewel moving in across the street soon this type of customer service and attitude was terrible! I finished the two jugs I had started refilling and left to do the rest of my shopping at Jewel. Shame on you Strack & Van Til (Hyvee) for failing your customers! This has been said by many not just me!
