Great Ribeye Steak we ate like a bunch of hogs. We will most definitely remember our first time with a great butcher.

The people working there were nice to me. The neat I bought it was very good. I'll be back when I'm in the area again.

I am not even a meat eater. LOL! But the Butcher Block is the real deal. My brother lives in the area and my dad said he wanted to pick up the beef sticks that my brother and his boys love so much. Think of an old fashion Slim Jim, but actually made with no preservatives and real meat. They do not come cheap and come in a variations of spicy, but as the butcher in the back pauses to clean his hands and service us at the counter, you know you are dealing with a real deal butcher. The sticks come out of their giant freezer as I am certain any item from their meat menu would as well. We pay the nice butcher and go on our way. My nephews can barely contain themselves when they see what we have in our hands when we enter their home. Clearly the beef sticks are a slam dunk that only a real butcher could supply. read more

My family has been bringing our beef cows ever sense they opened up but the owner now is a complete rip off from canceling last minute while I'm outside waiting to be unloaded to them stealing meat from the cuts and coming up way short then they'll tell you that it was mostly bones and skin to cover them selfs. I now drive 2 hrs to a butcher in eureka IL just so I don't have to do business with those scum bags read more

One of the few butcher stores around here left. We've been coming here for years, they have a great selection, much better than supermarkets and they have their own seasons & sauces. They also make the best beef jerky in the world!! read more

We won a freezer at the end of Oct. last year and didn't realize a $1,000 gift certificate came with it! What a nice surprise but we wanted that freezer because we just ordered half a cow and did not need any more meat. I was told we at event we had a year to order meat. I just called now to place order and she said no the certificate (with 2 others) was bought in Sept. and expired 11 days ago and they will not honor it. Then she said the same group bought 3 more certificates for the Oct. 25th. raffle event and with getting all that business from one group she still refused to budge on extending 11 days to this winner. You are kidding me that a privately owned butcher shop wouldn't compromise to make a customer happy. Very upset about this and will let them know at this year's raffle about this and will advise them not to patronize a business that just pocked that $1000.00 certificate. read more

I placed a pretty big order with them of steak, chicken, bacon and ground beef and asked them to package it in one-pound portions for easier defrosting. I called ahead of time and everything was ready when I showed up. The service was great and so are the prices!! I'm so glad I have a local option instead of the supermarkets! Known the best butcher, Tony, for 27+ years. He's a gem. Gets the best cut for me as well as being a great friend. His boss says he won't leave until in a casket. Really nice having a local butcher shop, but I really wish I got to see a selection of meats instead of having them in the back, hiding so I can't see them until I get home and open the package. Also a little disappointed that everthing is frozen, except for a couple choices of steaks. Not ideal when you are picking up dinner for that night. The strip steaks are good. My hubby likes the ribeye too. The potato sausage is delicious, as is the cherry wood smoked bacon. omg, sooooo good. I have a few pounds of bacon in my freezer at all times so I never run out. Thats a definite recommendation if you like bacon. Soooo good. read more
