Accept the fact that my new range is defective. A known problem! Since the very first day it was delivered, it has smoked and smelled horribly. Ruined our Thanksgiving dinner. Three service calls and temperature is innacurate, even after being calibrated. The worst part is the oven continues to smoke heavily and stinks up the house and makes food inedible. This is not a mouse issue. This is a bad range. A promised call back never came. I cannot express how badly this experience has gone. I've had several friends for whom this is the go-to appliance place, so we thought we'd give it a try. We weren't greeted and had to announce what we wanted. One salesman told us to sit while he printed out what was available. We were really surprised at how much more expensive their items were than other vendors such as Lowe's, Home Depot, and Barons. Furthermore, they offered no financing incentive deals; it was pay in full for delivery. And, even more furthermore, their extended warranty was far more costly than the other companies. One evening I decided I needed a new stove. I found exactly what I wanted online at Dracut Appliance. Ordering was easy. The next morning I received a call from a store associate confirming my order and asking if I had any questions. From there delivery was scheduled. Today the stove arrived on time. This experience revolved around servicing a dishwasher, which involved approximately three visits from different technicians, who contradicted each other. We purchased a Whirlpool dryer from Dracut appliance in February of 2024. August of 2025, the dryer was not tumbling. I contacted Dracut Appliance and Peter informed me that my dryer was no longer under warranty and it would cost 1/3 of the cost of the dryer to come out and fix it. I hired someone else for 1/2 the cost. When he opened it up, the belt had crumbled into the motor. When I touched it, pieces crumbled off. The repair person said this was absolutely an old belt and that he suspects Dracut Appliance is refurbishing machines and selling them as new. He also told me that he has seen a steep incline in calls for appliances purchased at Dracut Appliance over the past year. Dracut Appliance assures me the machine was new and they do not refurbish but the proof is hard to deny. Save yourself some money and buy your appliances somewhere else. read more

Wanted us to raise the temp on the tankless water heater to an ILLEGAL temp to allow the dishes to properly clean. Doesn't sound like the dishwasher is working properly at this point. He wanted the dishwasher to literally run for 4+ hours per cycle. Cooktop is a built in under warranty and under one year old. Told me he can't properly fix it because Whirlpool would never pay to allow them to remove the cooktop to properly fix it. This must be a joke and when I called Whirlpool they acted surprised by this answer. Looked at the fridge and told me "all major appliances are exactly the same; you are just paying for the name and the trim." Really? So this fridge has double cooling systems and that is the same as a fridge 1/2 its price? He called Whirlpool while he was here and it was determined the unit is a total loss and needs to be replaced as a result of a bent frame. Gave me a case number to call to get the process started. Whirlpool told me the techs notes are confusing and conflicting and they are not able to replace the appliance at this time. I ALSO FIND IT VERY DISRESPECTFUL TO PUT YOUR HANDS ALL OVER A HOMEOWNERS STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES AND NOT USE A MICROFIBER CLOTH WHEN YOU ARE DONE. Total waste of time. read more

Buyer beware. I don't like to make bad reviews, but felt the need to warn honest people who don't deserve to have their time and money wasted and their appliances deliberately broken. I should have heeded to the other reviews, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Do not make the same mistake as I did. I feel like such a fool for literally paying them $200 to break my washing machine, while they just laugh at my expense. They only try to make things right when they get bad reviews, as you can see. It shouldn't be that way. I only had a leak. After they left, my machine wouldn't drain. What a strange coincidence. I'm sitting in the laundry-mat right now, after hand wringing out a load of sopping wet clothes that I had to lug all the way here. I'm fuming mad. When I told them the issue, they acted dumfounded, placed me on a long hold, (typical tactic in hopes I would hang up) and told me it will cost another $200 to come back. Do not trust these people. Very poor customer service. They don't look you in the eye. They are very vague. They are not friendly or personable. They are scammers who will deliberately break your appliances just to tell you that you need to buy a whole new one from them. read more

my Bosch dishwasher wasn't heating water temperature past the tap hot water temperature. went on the Bosch web site and read that Dracut Appliance was a factory recommended/authorized repairer. the web site said the minimum charge was $179. when I called they stated it was $199. I wasn't there for the repairman but my daughter fiancé was. The repairman, Dean looked at it and said there's nothing wrong with the heater. He stated if I wanted to replace the heat pump it'd be $169. Then he told my daughter's fiancé to run the hot water before doing the dishes as that will pre heat the water. Excuse me? The internal heater, if it's functioning correctly doesn't require "pre heating" the water by running the tap. I did a test and measured the water in the dishwasher while running and the tap water from my sink faucet and they match. I called them and told them that before, when the heater was working, when I opened the dishwasher a cloud of steam came out and would fog my glasses. Now, it doesn't. I am a licensed technician in this state and have been doing service on low voltage for 41 years and know when somethino is broken. I NEVER had to "pre heat" my tap water by running it before doing dishes. I wouldn't recommend using their "repair" service after my experience. The, I don't know what you'd call him, the dispatcher said run a load and if it doesn't clean "we'll figure something out". To be honest, after reading the repair reviews, I'm not sure it's within their capabilities to figure anything out. I feel I was hosed out of an un-refundable $199. read more

I had an issue with my stackable washer/dryer which took a few visits to completely rectify the issue. Every time I called, the servicemen were always very helpful and pleasant. I have been buying my appliances here for years. Recently I purchased a washer dryer combo and I am very upset with the customer service. I also bought my appliances here without shopping around because I wanted to support a small local business. I will never buy another thing from them! When we set up the washer/dryer there was no plug. The salesperson failed to inform us that you have to buy the plug separate. Then when we did get it set up, the dryer does not work. We called the store and they said sorry we can't help you call GE. I will never recommend to anyone. read more

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher from Dracut Appliance back in 2018 with a 5-year service plan. I live in a garden-style condo, so when the unit started leaking a few months ago, the water seeped into the ceiling of the downstairs unit. Therefore, it was really important for me to have the problem diagnosed quickly and accurately. A technician came out twice and was unable to diagnose the source of the problem. During the second visit, he actually replaced the entire motor, but the unit started leaking again minutes after he left. I understand that Dracut Appliance has no control over the quality of Whirlpool appliances, but I'm very disappointed in their diagnostic capabilities. read more

I'd had good luck in the past with Dracut appliance, so when my oven needed service, I called them. The technician who came, never even tested my oven temperature, which I was sure was off, since a batch of cookies that normally takes 15 minutes to bake, took 30 minutes. And a pan of brownies were totally raw in the middle after extra time. The technician tried to tell me that the walls of my oven lose their effectiveness after a few years and that I needed a new stove! That's the last time I do business with Dracut appliance. Update: The Jim the service manager called me regarding this review. He offered to send someone out to look at the problem again, but I have already had someone else. In April I was in the market for kitchen appliances and was not keen on using a big box store so decided to check out Dracut Appliance. I went to the store and was immediately greeted by a salesman who listened to what I was looking for and most importantly what I was not looking for. I purchased a range, microwave, and dishwasher at this time and left there feeling like I got a good deal. I had done research prior to my visit so I knew what I was looking to spend and we discussed my budget. He worked to keep me within my stated budget and I feel the transaction was mutually beneficial. Last week my clothes dryer broke so I decided to call Dracut Appliance for a repair. The terms of the service call were reasonable and they could come out the next day. The repairman was not able to fix the dryer due to its age (14 years) and the part was no longer available which was totally understandable. I was already going to go to Dracut Appliance to purchase the new dryer but then the salesman informed me that if I showed them the invoice for the repair, they would take money off the new appliance. That was exactly what they did. When I went to the showroom, again, I was immediately greeted by a salesman who listened to exactly what I was looking for. Again, I had previously done my research so I knew what I was looking to spend. He found me exactly what I was looking for and was able to have delivery within a week. I am very pleased with all aspects of my experience with Dracut Appliance in both the service call and the purchases. In the future, I will only use Dracut Appliance. read more

You know when you deal with someone, either in your personal life or at some professional place, who you just know is going to change your life for the better? Well, I was fortunate to have met Craig Moran at Dracut Appliance Center (DAC) who did just that. To make it even more amazing, I've never seen him in person. Here's the story - apologies for the length but if you've read my previous reviews, they are a bit on the longer side so that I can hopefully give you a full understanding that you are seeking on this site. My mom needed a washer and dryer that was in a very tight and difficult location. I spoke with Craig over the phone (I am not in MA any longer) and he was as professional as you would hope for in any place where you need to spend a large-ish amount of money. Craig listened to my concerned, recommended the exact combo match (zero up-sell), and set up the deal and delivery without incident. If that was it, that still be enough for a 5-star rating, but here is where it gets a bit more emotional. Just prior to delivery, my mom passed away. Independent of all the issues one might expect, a challenge in cancelling an order already in place is not one you need on the list. I called Craig and he was already working the action without hesitation. It was flawless and he even sent the most heart-warming email that I still cannot read without a tissue. Now if that wasn't enough, fast-forward a couple months and I still need to get the washer/dryer out of the condo. I called Craig, who immediately remembered me, and offered to coordinate with one of his teams to take them out for an fee even I thought was too low. I honestly cannot tell you what the inside of Dracut Appliance looks like, I can't tell you about the models it offers (probably can find both online) and I'm not sure if they are the 'lowest' price you will ever find. I can tell you however, that if they could deliver to me Washington DC, I'd still buy from them. Whatever the ownership and leadership are doing at Dracut Appliance to enable a person like Craig to be the most caring and professional sales person I've ever had the fortune to meet, they are doing something exceptionally 'right'. I know price and other factors are important when making any home-related purchase. But for me, the kindness, professionalism, and 'family' vibe I got from a man I never met will outweigh any other factors. I can't wait for my next trip home so I can stop by and visit this store and Craig. By now, you should know that I'm more than a fan of Dracut Appliance and will tell you to stop your online hunts and go visit Craig or anyone else in this family to get what you need. We bought a new Whirlpool dryer. Four weeks later the control board blew through no fault of Dracut Appliance leaving the dryer's repair in limbo. Our salesman, Craig, was extremely helpful and arranged for a brand new dryer to replace the broken one at no charge. Excellent customer service! I would definitely recommend them. read more

Want to get robbed in your own home? Then call Dracut Appliance. The kid was here less than thirty minutes. Ordered a part for my dishwasher, declared my washing machine dead and attempted to fix my stove with a bread tie. This wonderful service came with a charge of over $300. Here is even more of an incentive to use Dracut Appliance, the guy says if you show them one of these receipts, you will get $50 off a washing machine. He forgot to tell me that just by purchasing a washer you get to pay an extra $50. $25 for new hoses, because they will not install it with your current ones and $25 for the so called "free pick up" of the old machine. I would recommend this company to anyone with extra money that they have nothing to do with. It is good practice for a burglary. read more

Right before our warranty ran out on our Bosch oven, I noticed that there were sporadic error codes and later on, difficulty in programming what I needed to do, so I called Dracut Appliance to have it on record that there was going to be a problem. At the time, I was able to fix whatever was wrong. Well, I was right: The codes became increasingly frequent, and it took 10 steps to have "bake" click in. And the only way I could adjust the temp was to start programming from scratch. I called Dracut, and they were honoring the warranty. They sent a service person here to check it out, and he had to order a new touch pad and control. The service dept then called when the parts arrived. Today, Cliff was here at 9. He had to do serious contortions to get behind the stove, which only pulled out about two feet (because of the gas connection). He climbed over the counters and squeezed his way behind the oven. Wish I had a quarter for every time he hit his head on the overhead microwave. After futzing around and spending about a half hour figuring out what Error Code 16 was (I went online and found out that he had to program the new control panel and enter the model number), Cliff finished up. He was careful about not scratching the floor, and was professional and pleasant. I just hope I don't have to see him again, as it's no fun dealing with appliances that are only a year old. Bosch oven? Bad purchase. Stainless steel? Ditto. BTW: This service call (labor and parts) would have cost at least $500-$600. Good thing I didn't have to pay a cent. read more

Went to buy a stacking washer and dryer today for my condo in Lowell. Very bad experience. I went to dac because my neighbors recommended them and 8 years ago they installed all the appliances in the building. I went in and asked for a stacked washer & dryer and the sales person took me to the largest set in the store and said "it can be stacked" when I mentioned I had a condo and that something of this size didn't fit he took me to an incredibly expensive Bosch system. Finally I noticed a smaller, less expensive Frigidaire system and was about to purchase when a question came up about a dryer back-flow preventer. This completely buffaloed the salesman and the manager. Needed to send a plumber over for a consult! Not very knowledgeable, and just a lousy salesman concerned more about his commission than customer service. Went to Lowe's, they immediately asked me what I needed, how much space I had etc.. sold me a nearly identical washer & dryer for less money, with free delivery. Oh and that back-flow preventer, in stock $4.99....... I don't like shopping in the big box stores and as a small business person myself I prefer spending my money locally on mom & pop's but not with the sort of service I received at DAC. read more

Forget the "big box" stores, this is far and away the only place to buy appliances, and I've purchased 4 major ones at Dracut Appliance. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful and has never pressured me into any sort of up sell situation. They've even offered installation advice when asked. The delivery crews have been courteous and gone the extra mile in helping the course of removals when odd issues popped up. He promised delivery the following Tuesday . They use Dracut Plumbing to deliver and do the install . The men were punctual and very professional . I highly recommend doing business with this local appliance center . David also liked my story about my grandmother using Ivory soap chips to make her own dishwashing solution back in the day . read more

I was replacing a 42 inch Thermidor refrigerator with a 42 inch Cafe The refrigerator arrived did not fit I was willing to replace it with a refrigerator that would fit. I Spoke with Craig the Store manager Nice enough Guy he called me when the delivery team was here and told me we would have to talk about how we were going to move forward .The delivery team Removed my old refrigerator and then Craig called me back to informed me that I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee which would be over $1000 in addition to Hundreds of dollars for delivery fee and set up fee. Or I could meet with there cabinet people maybe shave them down. My kitchen floor was scratched in the process and the cabinets also scuffed up. disappointing experience I will never go back to Dracut appliance Center nor will anyone that I know. read more

Bought a Electrolux range ew30if60is and have been happy with it until recently. Started getting the E15 error which seems to be plagued by the Electrolux induction family. Contacted Dracut appliance Indicating the E15 errror. The contacted us and said it was an F15 error and would be $150 to come to the house and parts after that. That is not the problem so I'm fixing it myself and regretting the extended warranty. read more
