Horrible service!!!! I had my iPhone 6's camera replaced around a year ago and when they installed a new camera, they failed to install the tiny piece of glass to protect the camera. I didn't know it was missing, so I happily left. Camera worked great for a few months the 6 months or so I started having issues with spots and focus, so I took it back under the fake lifetime warranty. Alejandro refused to repair the camera, blaming me for not putting the glass on. (Since I'm a iPhone repair specialist, oh wait that is why I paid them) I'm calling corporate, but have a feeling they won't be much help, all I could do was leave a message. Took our PS4 we already knew what caused the malfunction and that it wasn't working so they charged us 50$ for the exam , and then they said they had to special order parts and he would be in contact with us to let us know the pricing or if they got ahold of their vendors who supply the parts so since they didn't contact us so we just went into the store to get our PS4 back and that when he told we needed 2 parts that would cost 100$ each ! So we passed realizing that's almost the price of a new PS4 and we actually are taking it to get fixed by a home technician all together for 55$ total read more

Update: I took my bad display that I recieved from this location to Sprint. Luckily I had protection plus so i was able to get a brand new screen for free! No problems when you use good parts! This guy uses cheap parts from China, that's why he is always worried about "making money" on a deal. If you want it done right, do not take it here and take it to a trusted technician. Decent customer service but the Iphone replacement screen/digitizer is so cheap that I had to return 3 different times for them to "replace it". I continued to have issues so it will be easier for me to have Apple do the repairs with their QUALITY parts. Worst customer relation experience ever! This staff is experienced in creating excuses vs solutions. Original estimate was for $69 to have my galaxy s5 power port repaired. Upon disassembling a short was created in the unit therefore more parts were required to complete the work order. The new estimate was over $200. Fortunately we were able to negotiate the price down to 175. However when we the unit back to work there was a problem with the volume and speaker system which did not exist prior to repair. This was mentioned to them as well but they said the repair did not cause that problem. Furthermore, my wife's SD card was missing from the unit. When I return to the store to confront them they adamantly stated that they put all parts back in to my wife's phone. This was the only explanation given therefore obligated write a negative review because they should have been a little more sensitive and more diligent in trying to locate the missing card. Likewise the card is not the major issue is just as sensitive material on the card that will be forever lost. I needed to extract the info from my phone before I ship it back to the insurance,  I came in Saturday afternoon  I told him I was in a rush he told me it might take a couple of hours for him to just take a look  I couldn't wait that much so I told him I'll go to a different place so he told me I could pay rushing fee of $20, he told me he would even do it for  $10, which is on top the 45$ they charge you just to take a look on the phone. After an hour he didn't even look at my phone telling me he was busy with walking customers, I told him it wasn't cool but it was already too late , I told him I'll come pick it up Monday and he said he will take care of it. Monday I waited until 11am and I didn't get a call , I called him and he said he will call me back in a couple of hours,  at 3:30 I called him to check what's going on and he put me on hold telling me that he with a customer in the store after 8 min on hold I drove over there while I'm still waiting on the line .  I got there and he wasn't even at the front and no customer was there, he told me another 2 hours,  after 3 hours he didn't call me I called him and he said that he check with the wearhouse and they didn't have the part. I came back to pick it up and asked for a  refund since I lost all my contacts info due to the fact he could fix my phone and I didn't have time to go to a different place since I had to ship it back . He wouldn't give it to me , so I asked for at least the 10$ rushing fee , he said he wouldn't give it ad well since I agreed to it, although they didn't fix it Saturday. I lost $55  and all my contacts, photos and important information just because I was counting on these people.  I would never get near , definitely wouldn't sign this 45$ ( just for taking a look , fixing the phone will be much more) in advanced paper they use to rip people off. The worst customer service! Addison Location. I called ahead to see if they could fix my phone before they closed with a group on I had purchased in which they said they could and bring in on it. I got there half an hr before I said I would be there and was told in the half hr it took me to get there they had 3 customers come in and they now could not do what they said unless I wanted to pay an extra fee to get ahead of everyone else. I went in to have a cracked cell phone screen repaired on Monday. Guy looks it up and says he needs to order the glass. I say OK, I listen to the tech on the phone and confirm that it's in stock and he will have it tomorrow. Tech says it will be in tomorrow. I come in Tuesday and the Tech says "parts not here yet", should be tomorrow. I give him a little grief knowing it wouldn't be on time. He says "don't be aggressive". I shake my head and laugh. I get a call Thursday saying the Tech just picked up my glass if I'd like to come in. Ridiculous, just no such think as accountability and customer service. I went here to get my iPhone 5S repaired on 10/25/2014. I asked about the Groupon b/c the Groupon says the 5C and iPad2. They told me they would accept the Groupon + an additional $20 at the Frisco location. After I realized the Addison location was closer, I contacted them and was told something totally different. I then explained what the Frisco store had quoted and agreed on the deal. I arrived at the Addison store and there was only one person working. He advised that the phone would be repaired at latest 1:30pm. I returned to pick up my phone and had to wait an additional 30 mins. By the time I left there were two other technicians present. I explained the situation to the gentleman who cashed me out and advised him that I didn't think I should have to pay the additional $20 due to their timely delivery. He stated if I didn't give the $20 he wouldn't be making anything out of the deal (so much for satisfying the customer). When I returned to my vehicle, I dropped my phone in the cup holder and the screen cracked. I do not believe the quality of the screens used by this store are worth the time. read more

Worst experience ever. I've never been this mad. Took my phone in for a screen repair. Had to go back because the screen started separating. First they said I have water damage, then they tried to say my mother board is bad and they broke the home button. My phone was perfectly fine when I took it in for a cracked screen and works fine after they replaced the home button. The screen they replaced is bad. I have to swipe and push buttons several times for it to work and the home button is loose. He had all kinds of excuses why the home button is loose. I had enough of the bs excuses and left. I love this place. All of the Dr. Smartphone's locations are on point. I was on vacation in Texas and I dropped my brand new iPhone. I didn't have any kind of coverage from Apple and were probably going to charge me an arm and a leg to repair the phone anyway. I found this little gem online and decided to give them a shot. Not only did they fix my phone in about 15 minutes while I waited, it was back in brand new condition. I still had a scratch on the side from where it hit the concrete but the screen worked perfectly and was otherwise in perfect condition. I went to the Frisco location and the staff was super helpful and very friendly. They calmed me down too because I was freaking out with my broken phone. The price was incredibly reasonable. Hopefully I never break my screen again, but if I do I hope I'm in Texas because I know where to go. read more

Where do I begin. Took my s8 plus to get a replacement back glass. They said originally an hour and a half tops. Called 90 minutes later. Still cannot find the ORCHID GRAY back glass. Horrible service and dishonest business. Bought a iPhone 5 for a 150$. the phone is crap ,they told me it was unlocked on all carries which was a lie. Do not recommend. Took my Iphone 7 here....had an issue with a SIM card that I needed swapped out that had gotten stuck. They said they had to take the phone apart to get it out...charged $75. I dont care to do low reviews unless the service is just exceptionally bad. This place is bad because they just cannot fix anything. I took my phone in on October 21 for broken screen repair, power button repair and a muffled speaker. By October 27, the phone had been back to This place 3 times. The power button fix is questionable. The speaker was never repaired despite me being told it was repaired then upon returning to the store for non repair it would cost another $60.00.The screen repair is just subpar. The screen was not glued or taped down correctly to the phone and the lower half of the screen has lifted from the phone. I have returned the phone 4 times for the lifting issue. 4 times it was returned to me as repaired. I have now taken my phone to what hopefully is an actual repair service. The issue cost me $179.00 and the phone still cant be used. They offer a lifetime warranty but how many times in the course of 2 weeks should I have to return the phone for a warranty repair. On one occassion, the phone was not read for pick up when promised. LOL the last time I picked up the phone the guy told me he put a "suction cup on the screen, the strongest suction they have" to ensure that it was glued down. By the time I got 4 miles down the road I could see underneath the screen into the body of the phone. (I laugh as I write this. The level of silliness is 100) read more

I took it back in and was told there was a new problem and it would cost more money to get it fixed. I told them it was not brought in in that manner. Would never recommend this place to anyone. I made a drop off for a screen replacement and then heard back the following day that they thought their part might be defective because it would work and then stop. They said they would get another and let me know. I never heard back. I stopped in days later to find out what was going on and not only had my device not been fixed, they tried to upcharge me to "fix" an issue with the home button from the screen being cracked. There was no home button issue before yet I was blamed because of the broken screen but they would not acknowledge that it could have been from them taking the bad screen off. What seemed interesting was that they were willing to replace a connector they said was damaged but only charge me for the labor. That to me said they caused it but instead of taking the hit on it, they placed the blame on me and tried to make me make up for that. No wonder they're on Groupon. Crap repair service and crap customer service is why they're likely hurting for more business. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. read more

Purchaser Beware!!! I took in a 6 month old Galaxy S7 to have the cracked screen replaced; Cost of repair was $240. I lost it all and incurred additional costs because they caused more damage than they repaired! Within 10 minutes of picking up my phone I discovered the soft button for "back" didn't function at all; The Home button was loose and wanted to toggle back and forth and the screen was not attached properly because you could see light shining between the front and back of the phone in the bottom left corner. They were then closed, so called immediately to let them know of the problems. He acted as though I did something to break these other items. When I went into the storefront to have him look at the phone and requested he fix his mistakes his heat machine was conveniently broken and he could not open it to see what was wrong. He wasn't sure when his heat machine would be fixed! I needed the phone immediately and had to replace it! Wish I had read some of these reviews before I went there, but since the AT&T store had recommended them it didn't occur to me to check reviews.
