Dr Ron and his staff are the most caring, professional people I have ever met. Dr Ron is always spot on helping me to heal. I don't know what I'd do without them.Unfortunatly,5 stars doesn't do them justice. I would choose higher. read more

Great experience with Dr. Ron and his office. This was my first experience with a chiropractor and it was exceptional. I felt at ease immediately and felt better physically after only a couple weeks. Not to mention the great flexibility with accommodating my schedule. read more

So, I've been here three times in the past week, and I gotta tell you, kids: Dr. Ron is just the best. He does everything here, and manages to keep a friendly yet profesh attitude without breaking a sweat. I came in with neck and shoulder pain that I've been carrying around with me for more than a year. I also felt fatigued and at least twice my age. Dr. Ron took his time during the consult, chatted with me about everything from my regular activity to my stress level to my diet, and then we went from there. It was love at first crack: I was aligned. Finally! He's so gentle that there is absolutely no pain or discomfort, and he talks to you all the way through the adjustments so you know what's happening and what to expect. In addition to the adjustments, he spoke to me about breathing exercises to help with my shoulder, taking vitamin supplements to help with the fatigue, and even convinced me to eat more red meat as it may be really important for my blood type, as it turns out. I really like this holistic, drug-free approach to healing, and really do feel so much better than I did a mere four days ago. Combining all of his recommendations with my regular life is beginning to make a difference, and this is just the beginning! read more

This guy is great! My first chiropractic experience and I was relieved and so happy to feel so much better after not a ton of treatments. Dr. Ron treats you as an individual and does not give you the old "this will take 8 weeks, twice a week" song and dance. Very happy here. read more

Dr. Ron is the best! My hips were out of alignment after giving birth and pinched a leg nerve in the process. My obstetrician recommended Dr. Ron and within 6 sessions he was able to correct my hip & back issues and no more pinched nerve! I had never been to a chiropractor before and he helped make the process easy and comfortable. I highly recommend him! They also have VERY good deals for people that don't have chiropractors covered under their insurance (like me). read more

Dr. Tyszkowski is a magician. I've had low back problems for years: Extreme stiffness, back spasms, and hip and knee problems all due to a number of work-related issues and lifestyle issues, and after a few weeks of visits I already feel almost completely fixed. Dr. T is knowledgeable, personable, professional, and has a comprehensive approach to total-body wellness and health. He's got an array of custom-made equipment that I haven't seen at other chiropractic offices, all of which is very effective. I also found his technique to be surprisingly gentle for how effective it is. I never felt throughout the manipulations that he was going to crack something too far, or twist in a dangerous way. Lastly, don't let the business' unimpressive facade fool you. It's located in a strip mall with no sign and only an 8.5x11 sheet of paper on the door, and I'll admit my first impression was to be a little skeeved out. Couldn't have been more wrong. Love this place, and I'll recommend it to anyone. read more

Last week, I hurt my back worse than I ever have before. It hurt to stand up and each step sent shooting pain up my heel to my lower back. 24 hours after the injury (I will not reveal how I injured myself but I will say that I have a new found respect for how much empty milk cartons weigh) I hobbled into the the Dr's office. Dr. Ron was thorough and honest - he gave me a couple tweaks and advice to ice my back with the warning I probably wouldn't feel much better that day, I came back the next day and got a very good adjustment. 3 adjustments later I'm just about as good as new. I even got a couple neck adjustments and that's feeling better already too. I can't recommend him more highly for treatment. The parking lot does confuse me - why do they have parking places where I can be blocked in? I think Dr. Ron should adjust that - see what I did there? read more

Dr. Ron and his team are amazing. I work in fitness and his understanding of not only his practice, but of how it related to my job, history, and activity now and going forward is awesome. He has a great "coaching" personality which I do well with because he breaks things down simply and gives me easy things to apply, watch out for, and work on. P.s. I've been to other chiropractors, but prefer his practices more. read more

Name is now different. They seem nice, but they need to fix their map listings and answer the phone. I ran around an hour between the multiple similarly named businesses and Jefferson Blvd's. I called 4 times and only got through on the 4th call, which was too late for my appointment. This is simple business office stuff. read more

I have been going to Dr Ron for about 9 years now. I've lived in several places in the country, and not only is the the best chiropractor in Rhode Island, he is the best chiropractor I have ever been to. I've had to almost crawl into his office a few times, and he's had me walking and mostly out of pain with only a few adjustments. He is on time, professional, knowledgable. He really listens and cares about making you better! read more

I injured my back and found myself crying on the couch. The pain was comparable to the pain of a c-section. It had started five days earlier and was getting worse. No one could see me because it was a Saturday. Dr. Ron was closed but made an exception and came in. In his words, "I thought I could help so it was a no brainer." I had immediate relief. Dr. Ron took the time to check in on me throughout the weekend. After my second appointment I had almost no pain and continue to feel better every day. My gratitude goes beyond words. His talent, dedication and compassion are an amazing gift. It is truly a vocation for him, not a business. I could not recommend any physician more. - Katie Cooney read more

Dr. Ron is the best healthcare provider I've ever worked with. He's that rare doctor who genuinely listens and responds to the concerns of his patients before treating them, which gives him a strong understanding of your needs and provides you with important physical and emotional relief before an adjustment. He remembers your needs between visits, even when you haven't seen him in a while. He's not a pusher like many chiropractors; he treats to resolve the immediate problem and works with your insurance limitations. I've had the privilege of working with Dr. Ron for nearly 10 years. When I think of moving back to my home state of California someday, one of my biggest concerns is, "Who will replace Dr. Ron?" James, the massage therapist, is also incredible. He offers the only serious body work I've had since leaving the Bay Area 10 years ago. He is guaranteed to melt you! read more

I woke up one day last week and couldn't move my neck or shoulders! I could barely get out of bed and as the day went on it just got worse with the pain radiating into my arm. I'm only 26 and this had never happened to me before, I figured I must have slept in a strange position and it would go away but the next morning it felt even worse. So for the first time in my life I decided to see a chiropractor. Dr. Ron was fantastic, he saw me right away on Saturday morning. He was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable, fully explaining to me what was going on with my neck and how it had locked overnight. I saw him just twice and now feel fully recovered! It was a great experience that I highly recommend to anyone who needs it! read more

About 2 weeks ago, I wrenched my neck so badly that I couldn't move my head in any direction. Sleeping was impossible and I was pretty much panicking because I had to travel to VA in a few days. I found Dr. Ron at Lighthouse Chiropractic via Yelp and decided to give him a try based on the good reviews. I couldn't be happier that I went to him! Dr. Ron made me feel completely comfortable and eased my fear of further damaging my neck. Not only did his careful ministrations allow me to keep my travel plans, but he helped me understand exactly why my neck was hurting. On top of all this, his rates are extremely reasonable. I wouldn't go to anyone else! read more

Dr. Ron is the best! . From the time I walked in to my first appointment I felt comfortable and taken care of. He is always very friendly, he really cares and is a great listener. I always feel like my concerns are being heard and he explains everything to me in a way that I can understand. I have been dealing with chronic back pain for almost 10 years. Dr. Ron set up a treatment plan for me and I started feeling relief right away. He has made a huge difference. I highly recommend Lighthouse Chiropractic to everyone!! read more

I hurt my lower back really bad. I called Lighthouse and they were able to get me in that day! The receptionist was very empathetic and Dr. Ron used the most minimally invasive techniques to ease my back into place. He was honest and straightforward, describing to me in an easy to understand way what was happening, when I would feel better and that ice would help. I have been to many chiropractors who crack you all over and do not resolve the pain or injury. This was not my experience with Dr. Ron. He focused on where the pain was and healed the injury. I was feeling better in couple days and was back to my normal exercise and activity within 2 weeks. Thanks Dr. Ron! read more

I have been coming to see Dr. Ron on and off for a couple of years. I can honestly say that he is one of the BEST chiropractors that I have ever been to. He makes a point to schedule me in at the last minute since I drive down from Boston to see him. He has also given me great tips and exercises/stretches to help me make the most of my work outs. I would highly recommend Dr. Ron to anyone. read more

I started seeing Dr. Ron after being referred to him by another trusted medical professional. I had stopped seeing a chiropractor since I had so many less than quality experiences. After one visit I knew he was "for real" and that my faith in chiropractic could be restored (as well as turning my head in both directions). It is my believe that aligning yourself with medical professionals who are athletes (if you are an athlete) means that you are going to get advice that makes sense for you, and Dr. Ron is at the top of that list. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Ron to anyone looking for a chiropractor. read more

I was referred to Lighthouse Chiropractic by my massage therapist and I've been going here to help treat my migraines with aura and the adjustments have helped tremendously! I always feel taken care of and I'm seen to immediately with little to no wait time! read more

It took me a while to get to writing this review, but this office is fantastic. This doctor and his staff have helped me tremendously. Scheduling is never an issue. Always prompt service. I was having really bad issues with my back that most doctors were not listening to and kept telling me to take ibuprofen. I am very grateful for this doctor and his staff and would recommend their services. read more

I've had neck issues for a few years after a head on collision. My doctor would always recommend physical therapy which wasn't helping. I started going to see Dr Ron recently and am glad I found him. Dr Ron is wonderful! I first saw him in 2011 when pregnant with twins to help with the back problems from my first pregnancy. He was so kind and sensitive to the issues going on with the twins while also taking care of my back. I recently returned to him after hurting my hip while running. Without childcare I had to bring all 3 young kids and he was incredibly kind and patient with them, while also taking care of me. He showed them all of his tools and answered all of their questions. Bonus: my hip feels great! He always is on time and appointments don't take long, but he truly makes a difference! read more

Dr. Ron is a gifted, compassionate professional. His patients are his number one priority and caring for them (us) is his passion in life. Besides his expertise in chiropractic and his benevolent 'bedside manor', he is also what I would call an authority on nutrition and exercise, not just exercise but proper exercise and functional movement that is in effect rehabilitative to the patient. His knowledge of biomechanics and the physiology of exercise is an integral component to the whole practice of chiropractic and pain management. I highly recommend Dr. Ron without hesitation. He is a stellar human being. :) read more

My wife and I started seeing Dr. Ron on the advice of Kerry Taylor, the owner of Punch Gym Rumford (the Kettlebell gym where we have been working out for about 18 months.) We had been seeing another chiropractor for almost 10 years and never really made any progress with some recurring injuries. When Kerry recommended "The Kettlebell Doctor" it seemed like a no brainer. Both of us were amazed when we saw results after the first visit. Dr. Ron's knowledge of sports injuries and overall anatomy intelligence has been just what I personally need to stay healthy and NOT injure myself. My wife, who also is a member of Punch Gym, has seen long time conditions heal completely. Since starting to see Dr T, I have been injury free and able to progress in my workouts as a result. My wife and I think of our visits as what we do for fun - we know we're going to laugh, listen to some good music and come away feeling great. Can't ask for more than that! read more

I really have to rave about Lighthouse Chiropractic. They go above and beyond to work with patients to make sure their appointments work with their schedules and finances. Wonderful staff, Very flexible when making appointment. Dr. Ron is the best chiropractor in RI. :)

I have to give a big thank you to the previous reviewers since Yelp is the way I found Lighthouse Chiropractic and at the risk of sounding dramatic, it changed my life. I was rear ended pretty badly 5 months ago and went to an orthopedic doctor for 3 months while doing PT. It didn't help much for pain and when I went back to work, being on my feet for 8+ hours took its toll on me. A coworker suggested seeing a chiropractor. I looked on Yelp and called Lighthouse after seeing the reviews. They scheduled me right away. I could already feel a difference after one visit, but now that it's been a month, the difference is incredible. Dr. Ron is a miracle worker. I saw Dr. West for some trigger point injections as well and have high hopes that they will help even more. Both Dr. Ron and Dr. West spent more time assessing what would work best for me in one visit than my orthopedic doctor did in 3 months. Everyone there is warm and accommodating. I only wish I went there sooner! read more

While chiropractors still get poo poo'ed by traditional medicine, Dr. T brought me relief I couldn't get from MDs, neuromuscular therapy, massage or physical therapy. In just three visits, he made me feel better than I've felt in three months. While I know it may not be a panacea, at least it got me "up and at 'em" for my 2 1/2-week vacation!!! I've been his on-and-off patient for over 20 years and find him professional, honest, efficient and kind. Don't knock it, try it!!! read more

I had a massage yesterday from James McGuire at Dr. Ron Tyszkowski's office. I have been enjoying massage the last forty years. Usually, massage is so relaxing I fall asleep. James said, "no one falls asleep during one of my massages." And he's absolutely correct. James practices a form of massage I'd never heard of before called Tui Na that is a form of acupressure combined with deep tissue and other modes. I don't mean to scare anyone off but it hurts! I really like deep tissue massage and it hurt. James was great, he helped me breath through it, which actually made me feel like I was participating in the massage and also that I'd accomplished something by getting through the pain. Often after a deep massage, I feel sore. After James' massage I felt lighter and not at all sore. After most massages I want to go home and take a nap. After James' massage I felt like I could go to an aerobics class or a bike ride; I was ready to take on the world! James said that this type of massage is great to have once a month or every six weeks; it's terrific for arthritis, which I have, and at this stage in my life, everyday aches and pains. I'm planning on making these massages a part of my health routine. For the record, I have been a patient of Dr. Ron's for fifteen or so years. I consider him a friend and I feel that he cares about my good health. I have a feeling he has lots of faithful followers. He knows his stuff. He is on staff at Women's and Infants Hospital, he's had papers published on chiropractic practices, he has a warm heart and a great smile. I know Dr. Ron's "got my back." read more

Recently I brought my mother in to see Dr. Ron. She was experienceing irrectractable back pain that was radiating into her chest. After several visits to her primary care doctor and no real solution we made an appointment with Dr. Ron. He immediately knew just what my mom was experiencing and treated the actual problem. Almost immediately she experienced pain relief and the best part...medication free! I was referred to Dr. Ron from a friend of mine. Let me start by saying, I was a bit anxious because I felt I was going to be a fairly tough case to treat. Since having a c-section over a year ago, I developed pain in my shoulder that was progressing over the months. Over the past month or so, the pain got so severe at times that I wasn't able to raise my arm comfortably or lift anything heavy using that arm. My primary care physician told me I needed to enter into a physical therapy routine and that it would be a lot of work (not to mention time that I just don't have!) I decided to revisit the idea of chiropractic with the hope that perhaps I just needed a good adjustment (I think any woman who has gone through a pregnancy would agree that's a lot of stress on the back!). Dr. Ron was able to accurately identify a technique we could try and we both crossed our fingers that it would show some progress. Amazingly, absolutely amaaaaaazingly....it worked. I can raise my arm without pain, and though I'm still doing some exercisises to reach my full range of motion, I am absolutely amazed at this progress, which I recognize as a huge, huge improvement. Dr. Ron is very knowledgeable and obviously....a really great chirppractor. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a great chiropractor! read more
