My mom came to Choy's office around 2014 to get insoles for her heel spur. "DoCtOr" Choy told her that the insoles were not covered by insurance unless she also had diabetes, which she didn't have, so she paid the 400 dollars out of pocket.
Couple months later, she's chatting with her coworker who also got insoles from elsewhere and guess what--the insoles are actually covered by their insurance. Unfortunately, another of my mom's coworkers also had the same experience with Choy, ALSO over the insoles. I wish my mom had told me about this when it had happened, but sadly she did not...my mom was not able to pursue the case any further as she had changed her insurance coverage before finding out. Having a language barrier also didn't help, but even worse my mom had gone to Choy specifically because he spoke Chinese...a situation which he obviously took advantage of.
Anyways, how corrupt and dishonest does a guy have to be to cheat their patients like that... his other reviews may be nice, but think about what kind of person you're supporting when you come to this guy for help! read more
