Before I saw Dr. Hartwig, I hadn't seen a dentist in roughly 4 years due to a mixture of equal…read moreparts apathy, finances, and... of course... fear. This creates a recipe for what I call Disaster Mouth (pairs perfectly with Disaster Body if you also avoid the doctor). Needless to say, I was embarrassed and nervous before I finally made an appointment, but as soon as I walked into the office, all my trepidation and worry melted away at the warm and caring environment I was welcomed into. My awkward jokes were received with laughs as opposed to the usual blank stares I get, which was nice. The environment feels a lot more like you are visiting with good friends who just happen to really care about your teeth. Miss Debbie, who cleaned my teeth, made me feel more like I was at the spa getting a facial, only for my teeth. Tiny, little teeth facials, if you can imagine. Dr. Hartwig explained what was going on with my teeth due to years of maintaining a diet of mostly cake and candy, and gave me hope that my teeth wouldn't yet fall out of my head now that we have an action plan and a consistent maintenance schedule. At the end of my visit, I did not have to peel myself off of the chair due to me losing my body weight in sweat from the pain and anxiety I have experienced with previous dentists and hygienists. I was relaxed, happy, and dry as a bone. I went back the following week for some fillings, and the experience was just as pleasant as the first one, even though there were scarier instruments involved. Typically, even a minimal amount of pain is expected when receiving a giant needle to the gums, even with the most skilled hands, and I was prepared for that, but Dr. Hartwig performed some type of magic in which I did not feel any pain, whatsoever; not even a pinch! She was able to quickly drill and fill not just one but two of my teeth, with no pain or discomfort at any given point. Dr. Hartwig and her staff are nothing short of miracle workers in every capacity; they have managed to minimize the stress that often accompanies visits to the dentist, and have transformed it into a fun, pleasant event that makes you feel like you're winning at adulting. I've stopped eating cake for (most) dinners, and am so grateful to have found Dr. Hartwig and her staff, and look forward to my next and every visit with this amazing team.

When searching for a new local dentist, and having a problem with a tooth, I requested an…read moreappointment with Loden Dentistry. Spoke with an assistant that informed me I would need to pay over $100.00 just to get the appointment, prior to being seen. She indicated this would go toward my bill. It acted as a deposit and in case I did not fulfill the appointment time. I do not have dental insurance but do have income to support my appointments. I was shocked at this requirement and moved on to another dentist that did not require a prepayment - deposit just to be seen. I realize some people do not meet their appointments but I am not that person. Perhaps $25 like many medical entities but was shocked at this requirement. This will not be my dentist.

She was able to call in a refill for my antibiotics and even gave me some tips on how to make the over the counter medication taken for pain work more effectively. Nicest healthcare professional I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. You can't go wrong choosing this dental practitioner for any of your dental needs. She's knowledgeable, understanding, and she treats her patients with a kindness and a heart rarely seen among people in general in my experience. A+

I was told, when I lived in Oregon, that eventually I'd have to have all my upper teeth pulled and…read morea denture put in. We moved to Byron and, after a year, a filling fell out of one of my upper teeth so I called BFDC. They immediately set me up for an appointment. Being a little upset with being told I would have to have my teeth pulled and a denture, Dr. Lewis and the staff were very professional, helpful, understanding and supportive in what I was going through. Fast forward, after about a month, I got my final denture and am extremely happy. Now that I've gone through a "denture" process and now that it's all said and done, my denture looks so natural you'd think it was my own teeth! Now that I've adjusted to a denture, I'm actually loving not having to fuss with upper teeth that were decaying anyway, and wearing the denture is so simple and convenient. BFDC also took care of my husband when he had an emergency tooth problem a few months ago, working him in right away. Highly recommend BFDC for any and all dental needs!

0 stars if I could…read more The customer service here is terrible. Alex was very insincere and never returned my calls when I tried to escalate our concerns. I told Dr. Jessica L. Montgomery, DMD that we would no longer be using their office due to the poor dental work done on my mother. Instead of taking accountability, they responded by dismissing her from the practice, which felt like an attempt to avoid fixing their mistakes. My mom spent over 9k on dental work and her teeth look exactly the same as before. We were called back several times for "rework," yet Dr. Montgomery rarely even worked on her mouth and mostly left everything to the assistants. At the beginning, they offered my mom "free fillings" because we were dissatisfied with the service. Later we found out the dentist was already offering a free dental day, so that didn't feel like a genuine effort to make things right. On our final visit, Alex was nowhere to be found until I specifically asked for him because I wanted to express our concerns and give them one last chance to make things right. When he finally appeared, he gave a lame excuse saying he had been speaking with the dentist. He never made any real effort to resolve the situation or stand behind the work that was done. It honestly felt like Alex didn't like that I spoke up on my mom's behalf. His behavior was extremely unprofessional and a complete disgrace for someone who is supposed to represent Byron Dental. After spending over $9,000 and going back multiple times, we left with the same results and no real accountability from the office. 0/10. I do not recommend this office to anyone. I hate that my mom had to go through this experience, and I would strongly suggest others think twice before trusting them with their dental care.

He immediately relieved the pain by giving me 3 injections and medication to get the infection under control. About 2 weeks later I went back and had that tooth extracted. Dr pickard had to also do bridge work around that area before they could remove the tooth.I am 66 years old and was very scared about going to this place because of what I had read. I am telling you Doctor pickard is if not the best dentist I've ever been to he's right there with the best. He's absolutely wonderful. He's trustworthy , he knows exactly what he's doing. Also his assistant Lauren calmed me down with her sweet and kind demeanor. I highly recommend this dentist. He us a great person.

Since 2017, the estimated wait time for an appointment has consistently exceeded the scheduled…read moreduration by several hours. Staff attribute these delays to extended treatment times with other patients. During a scheduled appointment to establish care, I waited two hours to be seen by the dentist, X-ray technician, and dental hygienist. When I inquired at the front desk about an estimated timeframe for my appointment, given that my scheduled time had passed significantly, they were unable to provide one. The X-ray technician called me back to take X-rays for the dentist. This process took approximately thirty minutes, as the technician spent time setting up equipment and speaking with other staff members in addition to taking the X-rays. Once the X-rays were complete, I was escorted to the patient care area. It took about twenty minutes to see the dentist, who was very efficient in moving on to the next patient. Subsequently, I waited another fifteen minutes to see the dental hygienist, as she was returning from her lunch break. I would be disinclined to return due to the excessive wait times. While I understand that waiting for each patient is sometimes necessary, the dental staff could improve communication by providing updates to patients waiting in the lobby. Also, When you call the office and speak to someone the person you need to speak to about billing will never call you back.
