The doctor himself was great and answering my questions. However, my review is for one of the older women who help in regards to picking frames and the types of lenses. The doctor suggested bluelight protection which I got. The woman offered anti reflective lenses saying that if you're using it for driving. I said these will be for computer screens and she said it's not really needed so I opted out. I received my glasses and I am annoyed as I need the anti reflective as I can see all the glares. I implore this place to do a better job at explaining what the lenses do. I will find somewhere else to get new frames and lenses. read more

My mother wanted to pick up a pair of glasses but the didn't really understand certain things about her prescription. Since she was undecisive, she had gone alone twice to ask questions. This time I went with her to help her out and the older lady working inside said that the next time we return, we'd have to bring the money for payment because she'd been visiting the office multiple times already. Dr. Estrada was helpful, friendly and down to earth. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of my experience with one his staff. I've never worn glasses and rarely wear sunglasses so I'm not familiar with which style will look good on my face. Due to covid, we could only pick a few to try on and set aside for sanitation which I totally agree with! As I tried on my first pair, it was hard to tell how they looked on me because of the mask. My error was lowering my mask to VERY quickly see how they look on me. The lady helping me quickly told me I couldn't do that, which again, I totally understand. What I should have done was ask first if there was a place I could try them on to see my entire face. However, the moment she told me I couldn't lower my mask (understandable) she became extremely condescending with her tone. I said, I understand and apologized then asked if I can go to the restroom to try them on. With her condescending tone, told me no because other guests use that restroom. At this point I was annoyed. During this time, another worker asked me something. The lady helping me said to this other worker in a snarky way "she wants to take off her mask" as if I was some anti-masker! The other worker looked at me like I was nuts. I immediately felt the need to defend myself and said that is NOT my intention and simply want to make the right decision because I've never worn glasses before. I was livid at this point so I asked for my prescription so I can buy my lenses elsewhere. I take covid extremely serious and made an honest mistake by lowering my mask for less than a second before I was made to feel like I was a horrible anti-masker. I tried to ask for alternatives but was shut down without being offered additional alternatives. Now that I think about it more, I could have asked or been offered to step outside to try them on or better yet, given advice on what type of frames may fit my facial structure more. Overall I'm disappointed with the service but happy with my experience with the Dr. I ended up using Warby Parker online which allows you to select 5 styles and ships them to you for free. Once you select a style you like, you can place an order with prescription and delivered to your home. I will still recommend to friends but will let them know what to expect so they don't have the same experience as me. read more

Staff is polite but my experience was bad and I will never go back nor would I recommend it to my family. If I could give zero starts I would. I personally felt attacked by the Doctor he has no empathy for their patients and it's like a fast food restaurant took no time to really focus on the client. I felt I was robbed for my money and humiliated because my daughter couldn't put on the contacts. The doctor even told us in a condescending way that she risked stabbing her eye and bleeding out what kind if doctor would say that to a child. That was my fist red flag! But I had paid for two sessions for my daughter to try on her contacts so we had to go back a second time. When she went back we were told they threw away the contacts because she didn't go back in a week. No one called me to tell me they were throwing away the contacts or to say I had a deadline to go back. Of course they kept the money and made no attempt to reach out to me to come up with an arrangement. I will never take my family back here ironically they preach and stress so much to put good reviews on yelp. If you say everything was communicated to me how about you reach out to me directly and show me proof because I did call your office directly to try to address my experience but you or your staff won't do the same. She brought out different frames and she gave me her opinion when I asked for it . My vsp insurance covered a huge part of the cost and I'm beyond pleased with that. I came to Dr. Estrada for my eye exam. Before coming I called for an appointment and the receptionist (Lourdes) helped me out. I emailed her my insurance card so she can check it. YES, they have to check your insurance before making an appointment. The exam went well. The Dr. is really profesional and attentive. Waited close to a month for a call that my glasses were ready, paid in full since the day of the exam, and then was told that I should've called sooner. She was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. There are no hidden cost here, they explain everything that is being charged. So far, by far this has been the best place of care I've been to, the front desk lady Letty, as well as other staff and the Doc, were super nice. Since the first phone call they were attentive, informative, and efficient. I completely recommend this place, cannot say much nicer or content words of this place. My eye care was done efficiently, promptly, and accurately, all the while maintaining a good sense of communication, attentiveness, and helpfulness. The place is small, but very clean, and they have a wide variety of eye care products, plus the doc gave me a sample for the dryness of my eyes although it seems to dry them out more, at least that's what t I feel, I know he meant well, plus I know not all products work as well with me, still the first time he instilled the drops man, my eyes felt like if it had the glass cleaned on my windows, jajaja...I still bought the product just to keep trying it, maybe I just need some getting used to.
