This is a follow-up to the review I wrote on Feb. 4th, 2021. I was in contact with Keegan M. of Dr. Fix Computers recently from March 29 - 31 and he was extremely helpful in addressing the problems with the Samsung tablet. He was able to discover that the reason the tablet was not charging properly was due to a damaged receptacle for the input of the charging accessory. The inside of the port [ on the tablet ] which accepts the charger cord was damaged, i.e. when the probe is inserted into that port, there is not a good fit, and no contact is made to the electrical wires inside the charger port. Knowing that this tablet was primarily used by my five-year old daughter, I am quite certain that she jammed the probe into the port the wrong way "upside down" and smushed the wires inside the port, forcing it in when it was inverted or upside down. Regrettably, this has impaired the ability of the tablet to recharge correctly. Keegan explained to me that it is not economical to repair the inside of the charger port. He insisted on giving me back the full amount of $ 25.00 that I was charged initially [ I refused to accept the money twice, but he persevered and returned the funds to me ]. The tablet is also six years old and operates at an extremely slow speed when it does function at all. He commented that because he was not able to repair the tablet, he did not want to charge me. Keegan's professional attitude is truly commendable as he has treated me with courtesy and respect at all times. He is genuinely concerned that the customer will be treated fairly and have all issues dealt with in an equitable and respectful manner. read more

I had been procrastinating taking my computer anywhere, out of a fear that repairing it might be so expensive and complicated that I might as well be getting a new computer. When they told me how much I owed them upon pick-up I was happily surprised at the affordability. After taking it home and realizing I had forgotten to ask for something, I brought it back and they upgraded it for me free of charge.
