Horrible customer service. I left a message for this company for a quote on a damanged ceiling, Mr. Dewy Mason called me back and left a message asking me to call him back to speak with him over my request. i did so and he rudely said that he had is charging his phone so I offered to call him back which he declined. He asked if I wanted to answer the ringing phone on my end which there was none, he then said that the format was messed up and hung up on me. I sent him a text message explaining that he was very unprofessional. They have a great website and that is one of the factors of calling this company but from the 1 phone conversation I am happy that I will not be giving my business to a person that does not know how to treat people. Excellent job and very professional! He stopped by within 30 minutes of calling and gave me an estimate on the spot! He repaired several large holes in our kitchen and garage ceiling after we had a major electrical work done. He repaired all the holes and matched the texture and paint perfectly! You can't even tell we had holes at all! He has 30 years of experience and it shows. He was able to get it all dried and painted within a few hours. We have an open concept home, so he set down tarp and put up plastic coverings to contain the dust/paint to the work area. He was very professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. I had high hopes and the owner Dewey Mason seemed like he was going to do a good job. He did not show up for the job like promised, and never made an attempt to contact me. I reached out to him three different times and never got the courtesy of a return call or email. I called his office the fourth time and did get a call back, but he had nothing but lame excuses and was incredibly rude. After he hung up on me, I was glad we never did business. I highly recommend finding someone more professional and reliable. read more

We had work scheduled twice with Dewey; the first time he had another project and never called to let us know he wasn't coming and the second time he apparently showed up but didn't bother calling when we didn't answer the door. This was our second time using Dr. Drywall (Dewey). In 2018, we used his service and he did excellent work. This time, there was definitely a difference and we let him know it. He was to paint rental property for us. He started two days later than scheduled because of another job, but assured us once he started with us, we would get the same dedication. Once he started all was going well, until he stopped to return to the previous job. We had to reschedule other contractors. He returned and finished, but we were not pleased with several areas. While my husband was discussing his dissatisfaction, Dewey was talking over him, explaining why it was done that way. I asked him what was happening because he was not like this on the previous job. He told me, "Each job is different." I told him that's true, but your work ethic should not change with the job. He agreed to come back the next day, and make the corrections, plus additional work to the ceiling for an additional fee. He came back, started the work and later called my husband to say he was leaving because he had another job. He didn't do everything agreed to, and I have to admit, he did not charge us the last fee we agreed to. He said he had to leave because there was a lot of tension. I told him he left because he had another job, it was all about the money. read more

Very disappointed that Mr. Mason has done a no-call/no-show on us after we waited a week for him to do our drywall repair. He simply won't return my calls or emails after giving us the estimate and scheduling the service. Very strange after all the good reviews we saw of his work, but we can't recommend someone that won't show up!! read more

Dr. Drywall (Dewey) has a serious hearing loss and I believe that was the beginning of the poor review. Perhaps she got snippy and Dewey didn't handle it well. Dewey is nothing short of a drywall artist! He is dependable, punctual, and reasonable with his pricing. He patched several hole in the drywall at my home caused from the search for a gas leak and some remodeling. I defy anyone to find the patch - you can't do it because Dewey matched the texture perfectly. I can't say enough about this man's skill. AWESOME!!!!!! read more

Fantastic. Professional and was able to repair our ceiling and match the texture perfectly. He had all of the equipment to spray on a popcorn texture. I had scheduled for drywall repair during the middle of a home theater install which required sheet rock work before the install could be completed. I had taken the day off of work, and had confirmed with this guy twice, the last time being less than 24 hours before. Both times I called to confirm he claimed website problems had prevented him from receiving my work order. However, the day before he had assured me on the phone that he would be there at 1 pm. Not only did he not show, but his phone was turned off, and he did not return the messages I left. Needless to say the entire install was ruined. In my opinion, this guy is unreliable, unprofessional, and I do not recommend him to anyone. read more

I cannot express enough what a absolutely fantastic job Dewey did on my home in blocking off my games room in by house and installing a door to turn this room into my newborns nursery. I am surprised at the former review for Dr. Drywall. There must have been some sort of misunderstanding between Dewey and his client that culminated into his client's dissatisfaction. Dewey removed paneling and repaired water damage in the drywall of our 1963 era den. I elected not to have any texture done on the walls, only paint (a smooth finish) - his work turned out beautifully. Dewey worked for almost 2 weeks and finished the job satisfactorily. I engaged Dr. Drywall to repair drywall (sheetrock, plasterboard, wallboard, gypsum) and re-texture to match existing in my townhouse. He agreed to do the work for $350. He was both rude and extremely difficult to deal with even during the estimation stage. When he finished, he called for me to inspect his work and pay him. On inspection, his repair to hairline cracks in the ceiling of the living room was a rework that left the ceiling texture sagging about 1/2" at the center of a roughly 12'" square. The repair was much, much worse than the original hairline cracks. He agreed to come back the following day and repair the major problem he had created. i foolishly paid him, trusting him at his word to return and repair the job correctly. He did return the following day and notified me that he was finished. I went to the townhouse and inspected the work only to find a job that looked like it must have been done by a child. I sent a text message to him and politely informed him that the repair did not look good and asked that he come and look at the job with him. I sent him an attached picture of the repair clearly showing and extremely poor job--one that I am going to have to either do it myself ( I can do better than he did even with my limited experience ) or hire a good drywall person to redo it. When I sent the picture and the request to please look at the job, he replied "It's done'"I highly recommend that one not engage him for any of the services that he offers. I have never had such a bad experience with any contractor in my life.. Do yourself a favor and do not even consider him as a potential contractor for any job. to add insult to injury, he makes a mess that he does not clean up. read more
