Kicking someone out of a dental clinic because of reviews they posted last year is absurd, unfair, and very unprofessional. My reviews were based on real concerns I had, especially with appointment dates being changed and poor communication from the office. I also saw other people complain about the same issue, so I know I was not the only one. If the office had problems with scheduling or staff, that should have been corrected without punishing patients for speaking up. I never said I disliked every dentist there. I actually had positive things to say about Dr. Carson and the other dentist I saw. My complaint was mainly about the office staff, communication, and the way I was treated. For you to act like I was unhappy with all the care just because I posted honest reviews is not right. Patients have a right to leave reviews, good or bad. That is what reviews are for. Retaliating against a patient by refusing further care because they spoke up looks very bad and makes the clinic seem like it only wants positive reviews. I feel the way I was treated was rude, discriminatory, and unprofessional. Like I said, good riddance. I will take my care somewhere else, but I will not be silenced or made to feel wrong for telling the truth about my experience. I want to warn people that if you have concerns or write a review about Smile Obsession, be careful, because they may remove you from the clinic instead of addressing the problem. I was told I could no longer come back because of reviews I posted about my appointments being given the wrong dates last year. I use medical transportation, so when appointments were changed or scheduled wrong, I lost about 6 rides. If you read through the reviews, you will see other people have complained about similar scheduling issues. It must have been a real problem because they eventually hired new staff, and since then, I have not had any more messed-up appointments. Recently, the only complaint I made was about a lady on the phone who screamed at me when I called to address a concern. That was very rude and unprofessional. I do not believe that is a reason to kick a patient out of a clinic. I never complained publicly about the bridge I received, even though it was made wrong at first and one side was bigger than the other. Once they fixed it, I was satisfied. My issue was not with the dentists. My issue was with the way the office handled scheduling, communication, and complaints. Jacqulyn was very mean, unprofessional, and I felt I was treated unfairly. Patients should have the right to speak honestly about their experience without being punished or kicked out. Good riddance. I'm sorry I asked aceda to put you all.back on contract

Dr. Jay Rodgers is the owner, and he has a team of nice and skillful hygienists and technicians. I have been happy with my hygienist Hallie, who's very kind, skillful, and accommodating. She has excellent memories of what I like and don't like, making each appointment pleasant and successful. I have been waiting for some dental work to be done by Dr. Rodgers before I write a review. Now is the time! I used to think that Dr. Rodgers was a person of no-nonsense. Every time he would quickly check my teeth, recommended what needs to be done, and then hurried into another patient's room. However, I found out from the recent experience that he is actually very kind and compassionate, and is also very respectful of my choices. The dental work was pretty "complicated", which involved removal of an old crown that was done by another dental practice years ago, but it was not done right back then, and he detected decay developed inside. He would then install two new crowns, one to the adjacent tooth that was prepared by another practice a long time ago. There was an old filling to be replaced as well. I called Dr. Rodgers' office with questions, one of his receptionists, Dianka, is always very nice and helpful, she had Dr. Rodgers call me back after his appointments. He called me back and spent 15 minutes patiently answering all my questions and explaining everything that needed to be done. I was impressed. The dental work involved 3 appointments, with the second appointment being the main one and was the longest, like 2 to 3 hours long, with breaks. Dr. Rodger's assistant, Erika, was very kind and professional too. Dr, Rodger was(is) very skillful, professional, and kind, and actually checked on me several times to make sure that I was doing fine and comfortable. His chair-side manners were just excellent. Although dental work is no fun to be sure, I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. I could even eat an hour later! The most important thing is, the crowns look so good and natural that even my husband and daughter could not tell which ones were crowns. They both guessed the canine. No, that was wrong. I am so happy with the results! I will not hesitate to see Dr. Rodgers and his team for future dental work. Next time, I will not be losing any sleep before the appointments, as I know that I am in good hands!

I always felt at ease at this practice. Dr. Rodgers is the only dentist there and he is the owner. He has a great team of hygienists, who are all very friendly and professional. My hygienist is always very prompt, thorough, and makes sure that I leave the clinic with a shiny smile. Whenever Dr. Rodgers checked on my teeth, he has been very professional and informative. I felt fortunate every time he (and my previous dentists) marveled at me still having all 32 teeth without any cavities. About a year ago, I accidentally bit very hard on a bone and one of my lower front teeth became loose, which I could wiggle it with my fingers. I thought the tooth would come off and I went to see Dr. Rodgers on an emergency basis. Surprisingly, he told me not to worry about it after checking on the tooth. He is right - a year later, my tooth still sits tightly in its socket and is now back to normal. I like the overall experience at Northbrook Dental Care, and highly recommend it.

He and his staff are very aware of each patient's personal needs, and he understands that not everyone loves to have sharp and potentially painful objects inserted in their mouths. I must say that in my experience, he has been very aware of my sensitivities and gingerly performs his duties as painlessly as possible. As far as I can tell, his work on my teeth has always been professional and skillful. His dental hygienists, receptionist, and other staffers are very affable and caring, too. Each of them somehow knows a lot about me and my family members. One issue that is a bit of a challenge is that his fees are a bit higher than most of the other dentists in the area. Our dental insurance policy often denies 100% coverage because his fees are more than what they consider "reasonable and customary." In addition, he does not appear to be affiliated with any dental HMO or affinity group discount program. Nevertheless, we have decided to stay with his practice and accept the extra cost of this highly skilled dentist.

I got a deep cleaning and had a couple of fillings (clearly I eat too many sweets...but I'm still not stopping). They did my right side first and then the left so I wouldn't be all numb and chew off my cheek or something crazy. I had no pain during or after which is always a huge plus. I really like that they have two offices, I typically go to the one farther from my home, but in an emergency I could always go to the other office...or if it worked better with my schedule. The girls at the desk are very friendly, easy to talk to. I also think it's a plus that it's two sisters working together - at my cleaning my regular dentist stepped away and her sister took over so that we wouldn't waste time. Two for one! Cool with me.

He took care of a nasty bit of decay under a crown in-house, saving me an expensive trip to an oral surgeon, and also saved the underlying tooth with a new in-house crown, again saving me a chunk of time and money. Very satisfied with my experience at this office and hope to stay with Dr. Burns for years to come.
