Drifa brewery is excellently located near the shore of Lake Superior so has a nice view from the outside beer garden. Live music Th-Sat and also had a local food truck parked outside if you get hungry. I really enjoyed the "popular request " amber....refreshing! Just a short walk down the bike trail from downtown. Let me start by saying that I don't drink beer...but this place has something for everyone. They have a number of beers, but also specialty drinks made with beer that are wonderful! My personal favorite was the Frozee...which was like a slushy. They also have an outdoor patio that you can enjoy when the weather is not too cold! If you are in Marquette and want a great place to unwind...look no further! You will not be disappointed! read more

Great and greater beers, super friendly and comfortable atmosphere. It's one the few coop breweries anywhere. Drifa is maybe slightly off the beaten path but always worth the visit. Spencer has created a library of beers which are great examples of classic styles. Food truck most nights or bring your own. Oh yeah, your dog is just as welcome as you are though dog must be leashed. Take a turn away from the center and visit Drifa. I am always happy I did! read more

Absolutely a great atmosphere and wonderful selection of drinks. If you're in Marquette it's a must stop, definitely a breath of fresh air from the big breweries. Grab a drink, enjoy the band and don't forget the food truck. read more

This is a nice brewery with a relaxed ambiance. I ordered the lemon seltzer. It had a good citrusy flavor, but there was a skunky aftertaste. The bartender was very nice and welcoming. I would like to go back and try different seltzers and beers. read more

We really enjoyed the beer! We had a lager and one of the IPAs. Fantastic!! The food truck, Lakeshore Grill, did not disappoint!! We devoured the smash burgers and cheese curds. If you're in the area, definitely stop here!! Dog friendly and fun, welcoming atmosphere too. read more

Love this brewery for many many reasons ~ Excellent beers, I love the hazy IPA and the lunar magic. Location is fantastic! It's located right off the bike path which makes for a fun afternoon or weekend activity. Lake Superior is also in view from the beer garden! Food trucks are parked out front and there is often live music on the weekends. Let's be real, what's better than brews, burgs, and tunes? Staff is wonderful. Love spending the weekends at Drifa! They have a great selection of drinks for everyone's taste buds! I personally love the harbor breeze (light beer and lemonade) and the wine froze'! My dogs love taking turns getting to spend the evening listening to great music and eating from the delicious food trucks! Definitely the place to be! read more

Love this place! The newly improved garden hosts some of the best back yard music parties in the area. Who wouldn't enjoy a party with a view of Superior? Lower Harbor is my favorite beer and the new amber is delicious. Can't wait until the fall/winter selections come out. Don't like beer? They have seltzers, frozen wine, and frozen lemonade too! It's also the first co-op brewery in Michigan, so come support the people who support Drifa! It's your neighborhood brewery! read more

Cute outdoor patio. Both my husband and I sampled a few things that's were all good. I was also pleased to see wine options, which is uncommon for breweries but for a non-beer drinker I was super happy to see! Dog friendly and lots of room for my pup to play! read more

I must start this review with the fact that Juicy Booty NEIPA was my favorite beer in all of Marquette. This little brewery has a smaller selection but the two beers I tried were phenomenal. They have a beautiful outdoor area paired with a food truck that is normally out back... priceless. This place is newer and less popular than blackrocks and ore dock making it a nice peaceful night out but still having live music. You gotta check this place out if you like IPAs, NEIPAs, and a chill relaxed environment. read more

Drifa Brewing is such an awesome place! Great view of Lake Superior, right off the highway and bike path! When it comes to local breweries, Marquette is blessed with some truly distinctive establishments. Some of which I continue to enjoy every time I am in town. Though for me the standout among them is Drifa Brewing. Slightly off the beaten path, it sits a few blocks south of downtown in view of the lake. It is well away from downtown pedestrian and auto traffic and is better for it. This contributes to a welcome low-key and chill vibe outside in the yard amongst the picnic tables and inside by the comfy lounge and spacious high-tops. The co-op members and staff are friendly, engaging, and committed to a customer service experience. And it's an incredibly comfortable and inviting space for friends to gather and chat without having to shout. It also hosts my favorite "trivia night" in the area. Most of all, the beer options are delicious as are the seltzers and frozen drinks (along with whichever food truck happens to be on site). It's always a welcome retreat for a beer, a game of euchre, and simply interacting with other patrons and their kids. read more

Wonderful beer and wonderful employees! I sat at the bar by myself and tried a flight portion of all of their beers. I liked all of them, especially the Steep Wheat Green Tea Wheat and the Shira-Rye-PA. Great conversation with the bartenders and other patrons. A fun place! read more

Drifa is a Cooperative brewery on the shores of Lake Superior. We have 700+ members but we are also open to the general public. We have a 4 barrel brewing system so our beer is always fresh. The menu is always changing so stop in often to see what we have on tap. The beer garden is a wonderful place to visit with friends and has a beautiful view of the lake. The taproom has comfortable seating and a long inviting bar to sit at and watch tv.

Their use of the term 'transparency fund' is an oxymoron, because you don't see it coming. In a response to another review I left, the owner claims there are notices posted in multiple places, however, we never saw any of them. Besides, how many people search for notices of hidden fees when going out for a relaxing, late lunch? Shame on the owners for squeezing every penny they can get out of their customers. We almost deducted the fee from our servers tip, but recognized that would not have been fair to him. By the way, Sean, our server, is an asset to this business.
