Was meeting a friend at the cafe at Doyle's, I waited for a while to be seated, they were busy, so I was patient.
A couple came in behind me and got seated before me.
Decided to try the bistro instead and got my friend to meet me there. Beautiful location, right by the water with the sun going down. The staff were young, teens to early twenties, and mostly friendly and welcoming.
I ordered the salmon, it came out on a plate with a huge pile of chips. For the price I was expecting something much better. I basically paid a fancy restaurant price for pub food. The salad came later which was not even worth eating, the dressing was sugary and the leaves wilted. They could definitely lift their game food wise. It's a good place to sit by the water and have drinks, don't expect too much from the menu though. read more
