I think I was in charge of lunch arrangements and did a terrible job of it. In fact, we showed up here around 1pm for lunch for 8 adults and 3 kids with no reservations - I'm glad they were able to accommodate us as I had no real backup plan (I blame jetlag). They seated us in the outdoor area which is undercover and was just perfect for us as the kids were able to run wild without bothering anyone else. It's a really good set up, and even though it was a pretty hot day it wasn't too hot out there. The food was really good and even though we were off in our own area, service was pretty decent. I'd definitely head back to this pub for another meal next time we're in town - it's got a lovely park over the road for kids, and is right near the beach. Just perfect.

Decided to try the bistro instead and got my friend to meet me there. Beautiful location, right by the water with the sun going down. The staff were young, teens to early twenties, and mostly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the salmon, it came out on a plate with a huge pile of chips. For the price I was expecting something much better. I basically paid a fancy restaurant price for pub food. The salad came later which was not even worth eating, the dressing was sugary and the leaves wilted. They could definitely lift their game food wise. It's a good place to sit by the water and have drinks, don't expect too much from the menu though.

A small, but quite nice, beer garden is available to patrons if you choose to sit outside, however the interior is nothing to rave about - very traditional, quite outdated furnishings that is bizarrely contrasted with a huge plasma TV screen in the back eating area. When visiting with my baby niece, the only high chair available was disgustingly filthy.
