After The Tears is the second chapter to the Borsch, Vodka and Tears situated on Chapel St in Windsor. Being right next to the Cinema means it's a great place to have an after film chat with an Espresso Martini. This restaurant specializes in cocktails and there are plenty to choose from. It's a lot of reading as you go through the lists and lists of different concoctions on offer. This is the fun and choosing is extremely hard but they give you the excitement you want when you're out to spend that little bit extra. I actually went there for my own birthday one year and it was a fantastic night. The waiters were very approachable and were great at helping out with choosing options. The place has a great feel with a slight buzz and excitement where the decor is that simple European look with low light but works a treat. The food is good but people go there for the drink where I would love to give a recommendation but all the cocktails kept out doing the last one. It turned out to be a great idea to have my birthday there and will definitely visit again.

Had two types of pierogis: roasted duck & apple and pumpkin

In town visiting from L.A. and just had brunch here with family. Everything was very delicious. Highly recommend the potato blintzes with smoked salmon and poached eggs. And pierogis are a solid starter. Service was excellent as well. Would love to go back sometime in the evening and try some of their drinks.

The entrance.

The sister restaurant to Borsch, Vodka and Tears, this place offers hearty fare and drinks. Cosy place during winter.

Great vibe, fabulous drinks list. Eastern European fare is not for the faint hearted, but it hits the spot.

Homely cooked food and the biggest vodka menu I have ever seen. This place makes me feel like I'm back in Europe.

The best thing about this pub is it's location - right next door to the Palace Nova. Okay, I'm not…read morereally sure why I would leave the Palace Nova during an intermission to go to the pub considering that the Nova does have a liquor license, and you can take drinks into the cinema, but hey, I do like to get outside for a bit if the opportunity is available. However, as I mentioned, the best thing, and probably the only good thing, about this pub is it's location. Basically it is a pretty stock standard pub (though it has had a refit and does look pretty classy) and it doesn't have all that much to offer on tap either. It does offer the standard pub fare (none of that gastro rubbish for me), but considering the food offerings available on Bay St, it's not a place that I would have at the top of my list to grab a meal.

Pretty much the only true pub-style restaurant on the strip so will usually be quite busy and is…read moreopen late most nights. Not a lot to rave about really where it boasts a fairly normal pub menu where the staff are just OK and the vibe is a little stale and plain. Big menu with the usual fish and chips, pot and parma, burgers etc. I suppose if you're looking to go out one night for a pub meal it's not a bad place to go but just doesn't have a lot to it where you wont be surprised by anything and each to their own, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Purely up to you. For me, though, nothing too special.

Having been here only once before, but years ago, I was eager to try this again. It's such a cool…read morelittle place with funky music and nice interior in a pocket of Ripponlea that you may not think to go to at night once the shopping district is shut. Their menu sounded delicious, so thought we'd give it a whirl. The food was really good. I had the Tuna Tartare, the Mushroom Ravioli and the Brown Sugar and Vanilla Cheesecake. The food for the most part was on point. But the service is where the restaurant lets you down at times. On three separate occasions, they forgot the drinks. They just can't remember to bring them out and there's no apology. Thankfully the drink that NEVER SHOWED, was off the bill, so that was at least a battle I didn't have to get into. They were busy without being frantic, but the service was slow. The food came out slowly and drinks just didn't come or came late. One thing I thought they'd do that other restaurants of a similar calibre do, is know which person ordered what. They don't know. But look, overall, it's definitely worth a trip here. The food is good and I guess that's what really counts. There's a good selection of wine (obviously) and something for most palates. There's plenty of parking and prices are pretty reasonable. I just wish you didn't have to remind people to bring out drinks. It did put a mini damper on the night ... but I would come again one day.

It must have been Saturday or a Sunday in July 2016. when I had lunch here. It was windy so…read moresitting outside was not an option. and it was definetly 11ish am because I had to be somewhere by 12pm. Drinks were ordered first and I wanted a lavender grey tea.... They brought over lemon grass. I didn't complain I just waited and let the girl whom I told that it was wrong... Later the waitress And herself laughed about being "giddy" in the head about it and apologized. All in good manner of course. And they almost brought the wrong coffee to my table.. I didn't order a coffee and kindly remind them it's someone else's. Lol And the lunch came. hock and cheese toastie. Its not just HAM! Its the best fresh Hock off the bone ham! I'll admit its a toastie worth going there for. The service was fair, but they got the drinks mixed up. And little bit lax about that.... I should have let her put the coffee down and not said anything to see what would happen... Lol But the Hock and cheese toastie! Yes. Mid afternoon on the weekend.. Maybe not again.
