We were loyal guests of this restaurant for almost 3 years, which makes this experience especially upsetting. During our last visit, an expensive black Prada bag disappeared inside the restaurant. At first, the General Manager, CECILIA , confirmed that we arrived with the bag and stated they were reviewing all camera footage. However, despite multiple requests, we were never shown the arrival footage or provided clear evidence proving what happened to the bag. The communication became increasingly contradictory, and instead of transparency and professional assistance, we were eventually accused of acting "fraudulently" and formally trespassed from the property. What shocked us most was not only the disappearance of a valuable personal item, but the way loyal customers were treated afterward: no transparency, no proper cooperation, no accountability, and accusations without clear proof. We remained respectful throughout the entire process and simply asked for clear confirmation regarding the footage. Instead, the situation escalated into accusations and threats of trespassing. If personal belongings can disappear inside a restaurant and management responds this way, guests should seriously think twice before leaving valuables there. At this point, we sincerely hope the restaurant owner or upper management reviews this situation carefully, conducts a proper internal investigation into how this matter was handled, and contacts us directly in hopes of reaching a fair resolution regarding both the significant financial loss and the emotional distress we experienced as a result of this situation and the unfounded accusations made against us. We are still open to direct communication with the restaurant owner or upper management in hopes of resolving this situation professionally and fairly. read more

Came here with a friend for Miami Spice while back and had a very nice lunch. The interior is warm and beautifully decorated but still cozy, and the service was very attentive. The Miami Spice menu included their complimentary bread with olive oil, and one dip + main plate + dessert each. Our dips were the haydari, a garlicky yogurt dip with mint, and a the muhammara, a savory roasted red pepper dip with walnuts and a touch of pomegranate. Both were light but flavorful and paired well with their housemade thin lavash bread. Our mains were the wood fired chicken thigh which was nicely seasoned with sumac and had a balanced smoky flavor served with an arugula salad, and the kebap (I think it was the adana kebap) which came with a few nicely grilled spiced ground meat patties and a small serving of fluffy seasoned rice. Our desserts were the pastachio baklava which was super flaky and crisp with a nice portion of crushed pistachios on top, and a sorbet served with fresh figs and strawberries. Overall, a solid addition to the Miami food scene with nicely prepared and beautifully presented Greek and Turkish cuisine. The flavors aren't the type to really smack you in the face but everything we had was pretty well balanced and for the most part pretty tasty. Was highly recommended to try Doya by both the current Yelp CM and former Yelp CM of Miami, so it was a must try in Wynwood. My friend and I weren't too hungry so we just got a glass of wine, the brussels, and the beetroot hummus. I wish I had the stomach for a full meal because the menu totally made my mouth water! Even with just a couple shared apps, I loved this place. Totally understood why it's so beloved locally. I was honestly shocked we got in so easily at 6 PM on a Saturday night - maybe we just got lucky! The hummus with the fresh bread was to die for. I wish I could buy that bread and bring it home to Tampa! The hummus was perfect, no notes. The brussels were fantastic and also memorable with the nuts, pomegranates, and the dressing. My experience this past weekend started off a little rocky. I was seated right on time for my reservation, but no server came to the table for over 10 minutes. My husband stopped a gentleman walking by, who I believe was the manager, and he quickly corrected the situation taking our order and bringing everything out promptly. From that point on, the service was excellent. The food was outstanding; everything we ordered was delicious. When we arrived there was a bit of a wait, but once we sat down we cpuld understand why. The offers outside and inside seating yet open air and is very beautiful. It is perfect setting for all types of vibes like going with your family and friends or something more intimate like a date. They have a large indoor bar and quality crafted cocktails. I had the milk punch which was so refreshing and light. There are quite a few items on the menu we tried to order but had to pivot because they ran out, however everything we did order was a hit. So if something is out for the day, know that whatever else you go with will probably be just as good! The waiter was so knowlegeable and friendly, and gave amazing recommendations and descriptions of what the dishes are like when asked. You should definitely make a reservation, but we got lucky and were able to get a table outside without one (but we could only have it for an hour). It was my first time here with a party of 9 to celebrate a birthday. Out of all of us, 1 person was vegan and allergic to nuts so she could literally have one or two things on the menu, being rice, fries, and Brussels sprouts without nuts. All the other options weren't able to be nut free for the most part when we asked. The food was interesting and flavorful. Most of it is yogurt based which is Turkish cuisine but it had an acquired taste to it. the food came out relatively quickly and was good experience overall. This restaurant does it all well! From the moment you walk in, there's this beautiful ambiance with so much greenery, and then once you get inside, there's a gorgeous bar area and beautiful decor. The food is excellent! I really loved the fig salad and the grilled shrimp. The grilled shrimp might be one of the best things I have ever had in my life! Everything was excellent, especially the service. Our server was attentive without being overbearing -- we never felt rushed and also never lacked for anything. Dishes came out as they were ready, which was fun, but at one point we had 7 plates on the table and it was a bit much. Next time I'd order 3-4 to start and add more. Food highlights: the stuffed peppers, Muhammara, Brussels sprouts, and roasted cauliflower were outstanding. The house salad was fresh and balanced nicely with the rest. The short rib baklava was rich, creative, and exactly as you'd imagine. Branzino carpaccio was good but a bit thicker than expected, so I'd try something else next time. Cocktails were excellent -- this is definitely the place to explore the menu instead of sticking to basics. We also enjoyed a great bottle of wine with dinner. Desserts (pistachio baklava and pistachio ice cream) were quality and showed the care in ingredients. I also appreciated that they had true 2-top tables, not just bench seating like so many places. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was too disappointing to ignore--especially given the price point and reputation of this restaurant. My friends and I arrived at 8:45 p.m. and were told our table wasn't ready, so we were directed to sit at the bar. After waiting and ordering drinks, I checked back in with the hostess, who rudely claimed they had tried to contact me--despite the fact that we were told to remain at the bar. The communication was unclear, and the attitude was unnecessarily dismissive. Once seated, things unfortunately got worse. Our server made an inappropriate comment implying that I might be too intoxicated to order another drink, which was completely uncalled for and frankly very offensive. Throughout the meal, several items we tried to order were unavailable, which was never communicated upfront. For a restaurant of this caliber, that level of disorganization is surprising. The most disappointing part was the response from the general manager who I went to talk to. Rather than acknowledging the issues or apologizing, we were told that the staff is "trained to behave this way." That response alone speaks volumes. We spent a significant amount of money expecting a high-end dining experience, but the service fell far short. I hope management takes a serious look at how guests are being treated. read more

This place was hyped up to me by some friends and with having multiple Michelin stars, I definitely expected more. I will start off by saying I am a brussels sprouts and calamari STAN, however, both of these items highly disappointed me. I was not impressed at all. I went with the lamb chops for my main course and the first one I bit into was, honestly, awful. There was no flavor whatsoever and I sat there confused as to what was happening. This was a bipolar experience. The manic high was that this really is a terrific restaurant, with delicious food, good service and a nice vibe. The depressing low begins and ends at the curb, with what has to be the single, sorry, no other word for it, shittiest valet service I've ever encountered. The pity is that everyone, from our server to the host to the valets themselves, know it. The restaurant should fire this service immediately. When you pull up, they tell you ahead of time that they're texting system takes 20 minutes, but if you want to bypass it, you can pay double the rate and hand them $40 to get your car faster. They then suggest that you pay in advance, including a tip. The only proper response to that is laughter . When you do click on the text five minutes before you ask for the check, and follow the instructions. It puts you in an endless loop as if you have no signal, except that you're on the Internet and you do have a signal. They just have the worst Automated Valet system and they know it. The waiter comes and tries to help and acknowledges that this happens all the time.ALL THE TIME. What's ridiculous is that it never responded to one of the people in our party who ended up standing there at the curb fooling with it, pulling credit cards out, while the other was exhorted by the valets to keep repeating the process. This is at best an embarrassment, and at worst a scam.. I mentioned it as nicely and positively as possible to the host, complementing the Restaurant and suggesting that they terminate the Valet contract. He reacted as if at least 70% of the people who exit the restaurant do the same thing. As for the restaurant, the food was terrific. The greens and fig salad was delightful and different and had roasted hazelnuts and feta cheese and watermelon and figs and fresh greens. The seafood salad was equally bright and filled with shrimp. My friends ordered skirt steak and the" fishermen ", both of which were very good. I had lamb chops which were cooked well but butchered poorly, with way too much fat, gristle and bone fragments to enjoy or recommend. The pistachio baklava was delicious. The chocolate cake was so so and the mastic pudding a mild but acquired taste. I realize I spent more time on the Valet situation than the food, but I end on that as well for two reasons. First, the police should know because the other consequence is that it backs up the street to at least the intersection to the west causing a traffic hazard. And the restaurant, because they know about this, needs to either terminate these people or suffer the consequences in a review. If in fact, the Valet is a mob contract and they're gonna get their kneecaps broken, and not just a simple scam I might be persuaded to feel bad about dwelling on this. But the only comment I want Back from restaurant management is to please be sure and notify me with a response when you've changed Valet providers. Until then, as much as I enjoyed this restaurant, there are still hundreds to try in Miami before putting myself or my friends through this experience.. read more

This dish looked pleasant. Again, I was disappointed. The consistency of it was so glutinous. It was so sticky, it put me off. This came with some side bread, and some very nice olives. What was weird (again) the waiter asked if I would like some side bread when I placed my order for this appetizer. I asked if it was included? He said no there is a small charge of 5 dollars. I said for my main I will be having the Pide which is like a bread, so I declined. But, I received bread anyway? Huh? (To be noted I was not charged for this bread?!) MAIN - Pide with Truffle and Kasseri Cheese. This was like a glorified pizza. I enjoyed it and the truffle was apparent. DESSERT - Baklava. This was pleasant and served warm. WHAT I LIKED - The decor is really pleasant, I especially appreciated the decor area upon entry. Very cute. I loved their concept of shared bathroom facilities between the sexes. Ie there was a ladies restroom and gents restrooms. However, the mirrors, and sinks etc to freshen up are communal. A pleasant female manager came to my table and asked how everything was. (I did not want to make a fuss of all the above, you have to be in the mood, and I am also English so quite reserved in these situations). WHAT I DID NOT LIKE - Lack of attentive service. Bad taste left in my mouth re the Miami spice only for two people comment. The bread issue? just weird! The gummy Appetizer (to be noted I usually love this dish). Miami Spice menu the same as what you can receive from their normal menu. Plus, I overheard my server say, to another colleague I presume (I cannot clarify as this was behind me), " Miami Spice is not working, it is just Cheap people!" I felt insulted and embarrassed and could not wait to leave. Please remember that singular diners are more likely to hear! Assumptions should not be made either.
