Free tastings were offered, so you can sample before committing -- always a plus. The shop feels well cared for and locally loved -- it's evident this isn't just chain ice cream; it's a local gem. For families or groups: there's seating inside, and the area is pleasant for walking around to the fountain across the street, weather pending. A few tips: Because it's so popular, especially on warm evenings, expect a bit of a line during peak times. Some flavors might rotate or sell out -- go early if you're eyeing a specific one. We had a delicious sweet treat and was impressed by the large variety of options!

Good sign so far with the cars slipped into the parking lot. Walked in immediately greeted by the waitress. First question asked if we had been there before.....a preamble to let us know it was "Cash only". Typical breakfast fare with home style fixings. Bacon & eggs were cooked perfectly... eggs runny and over easy and bacon crispy. I had the home style potatoes with onions and peppers. They were delicious. Second return trip, I had the double cheeseburger with hand formed patties. Way too much burger due to the 2 large patties but was tasty and well seasoned. Waitress suggested desert and I opted for a dollop of banana pudding with vanilla wafers. Oh boy what a treat of creamy gooey goodness. The waitress informed us that "Donna" does the cooking and she has daily specials. Got the feeling this is a local's place by them calling each other by name but no the less everyone was friendly and staff was welcoming. Bottom line this is a down home cooked meal like you would get at Grandma's house. Highly recommend Donna's.

The menu boasted of several items including fajitas to enchiladas. I opted for the carne asada burrito. The meat was well seasoned accompanied with avocado, jalapeños, beans, and rice. They provided a salsa tray with 3 different salsas. One was a jalapeño and the other was a roasted chile style and all three were great salsas. The menu listed menudo as an item. I asked for a small sample. The menudo was deep red with large pieces of tripe. The tripe was soft and I could tell it was cleaned well before being cooked. A lil added seasoning and It accompanied the flavoring. Decent menudo for my taste. It was a great lunch and will definitely be a come back spot.

We were greeted and seated immediately, around 7:00pm on a Thursday. The waitress was very nice (new) and did a great job throughout dinner service never leaving us waiting on a drink or leaving dirty dishes on the table. For dinner I had the Waygu Burger med rare, with sweet potato fries. It came out exactly as ordered and was delicious, as were the fries. My son had the Sea Bass dinner and he said it was as good as it looked. We did not opt for dessert as we were both full. This was a great meal, and while the Yacht Club is a little more spendy than the other Tellico Village restaurants, I felt like it was well worth the dinner and we will be dining there again sooner rather than later.
