The restaurant was very clean and gave off a great vibe. Our waitress was friendly and gave great suggestions. We order quesadillas. I got steak and sis got chicken. Very flavorful but needed more cheese. The guacamole was chunky with lots of flavor. Margaritas top notch. Will definitely be returning.

The first two small baskets of chips are included and with the second basket they didn't bring or offer to refill the chunky salsa. Both were tasty. If you want more than that, there's a small fee. For drinks, I ordered the sangria fresco, which was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. Something in it gave me an immediate headache. No idea what that could have been. Another in our party ordered a margarita and that was really good- served in a mason jar on the rocks with a salted rim. Refreshing and tangy as you'd expect. Our meals: Fish tacos served with grilled tilapia - for a nice bonus they were served with avocado on top. He loved these. Fajita salad with chicken in a taco shell bowl. She said it was yummy and very filling. Veggie burrito made vegan by replacing the cheese sauce with a red sauce. The red sauce was basically a plain tomato sauce with a little seasoning - not great. The veggies in the burrito included an over abundance of sautéed spinach, a disappointing scant amount of barely there mushrooms, grilled onions and peppers, and weirdly raw broccoli florets. I love a bite of raw broccoli on a raw veggie platter, but inside a burrito was ... weird. It was difficult to cut and the texture didn't mesh with the rest of the burrito. It needed to be steamed longer or grilled / sautéed. The rice and refried beans were delicious! Probably the best beans I've had in recent memory- they have some texture to them, not soupy smooth like some places, and a fabulous smoky flavor. Get the beans. The place itself is set up the same way the former restaurant was, with the same nasty mold on the ceiling tiles (so gross). The building owner needs to hire a good roofing company. The people were friendly and service was good, but we were there mid afternoon on a Sunday and no one else was in the place. It looks like they do a trivia night and have other things happening.

It's a great place to go to get a lot of southern comfort foods, some with nice twists as well, and it has a full bar, and open for all meals I believe. We went years ago to the first location in Knoxville, maybe a few times, but felt "been there done that" as more and more good restaurants came downtown. Happy to see this new location, closer to a lot of things we do in west Knox. I had a GREAT lunch. Bloody Mary, then one of their low-cost specials ($11 for a half sandwich and side, basically). The sandwich was hot chicken with ranch and pickles and it was scrumptious. I had a problem choosing sides- so many great options including brussel sprouts, fried okra, Mac&cheese and salads.....I finally chose the green beans with bacon. Oh, they were soooo good. I could have made my meal just that and some cornbread. Next time I may get a veggie platter or just get extra sides, gotta try the others to see if they are cooked as well. So how can I not give that 5 stars?

We were at Windriver to look at homes, and had dinner at Citico's…read more We learned the chef is new for the restaurant, and is in the process of putting together menu changes, and has adopted a farm to table philosophy for Citico's. We started with the pimento dip, the menu states it comes with tortilla chips, but the chef has changed to use fresh homemade potato chips instead which both my wife and I prefer. It was really good. Next, we received our main courses. I ordered the steak, which comes with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. My wife ordered the salmon, which comes with rice. The steak was so good, it is now tied with the best steak I have ever had in my life. It was cooked perfectly, but what set it apart is that it was the most tender, melt in your mouth steak I have ever had. I don't know how they can get a steak that tender, but it was amazing. There were not a bad bite to the steak, it was really a perfect cut of steak that was sourced local. My wife's salmon was just as good, a crispy exterior with a moist, perfectly cooked filet of salmon. For dessert we ordered the Molton lava cake which my wife says she is a connoseur of molten lava cakes and is picky when it comes to them. Her verdict: amazing. This was really an excellent dinner in a cozy restaurant at the club. I would highly recommend Citico's, and have nothing but the highest praise for the new head chef.

I'm not sure if the person at the counter was new or training but he didn't know if they served hot cocoa. Another staff member taught him how to prepare it and ring it up. She asked if I wanted whipped cream but didn't say it was a $1 up charge which is quite steep for a drink that's only $3.50 or so to start. It was just canned whipped cream so that felt very pricey: the cocoa was average. I also ordered a cheese Danish to go and the employee just opened a box and the lid of the Danish cloche and told me to grab one. I feel like they should use a paper to grab it; I don't like the thought of other customers putting their hands in to choose. I also didn't want to touch my own pastry with my bare hands before washing. It didn't really make me want to return to try a sandwich. I understand that new employees need training, if that was the case. But I do think they should be familiar with what basic beverages are available.
