We were in the Knoxville area and decided to try this place for lunch. The breakfast reviews sounded wonderful so we were hoping that lunch would also be good. The restaurant is reminiscent of a diner from the 60's- typical downtown diner. The parking is in the rear. When we walked in, the sign said to please seat ourselves so we found an empty booth and sat down. There was plenty of available seating. A server came right over with menus and took our drink order. The special for the day-and not on the menu- was Country Style Steak with mashed potatoes and green beans or corn. I ordered that with the green beans and my husband ordered the Chicken Philly with the peppers. Both meals came out quickly. The steak was basically a hamburger patty with gravy on top. It tasted very good. The mashed potatoes were homemade and delicious! The green beans were seasoned just right. It also came with grilled bread slices that were very good. They were grilled with butter and flattened just like I make my grilled cheese. Very good! The chicken Philly was delicious. It was just right for one person but probably not big enough to be shared. It came with the peppers plus grilled onions and lettuce and tomato. The fries were hot and crisp. Rami's was an excellent meal in a historic looking restaurant that took us back in time. The service was friendly and quick. We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

We stopped in on a week day after Christmas for breakfast. I had the Greek omelette with rye toast. It was delicious!! Cooked perfectly and had fresh spinach!! My husband had the western omelette and he's said it was the best he has had in awhile.

Very enjoyable Wednesday morning breakfast. I was invited here by friends who live in the area that frequent Rami's, so the company I was in already guaranteed this would be a good visit. Sure enough, we sat down in a booth and the waitress asked, "coffee and orange juice as usual?" I love that personal touch. The coffee was poured as I perused the menu, which had just the right variety without being daunting. I was told the omelets were good, but I settled on the "Ultimate BLT" on rye bread, with an added egg on top. The sandwich was pretty big, definitely filling. Delicious. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular who gets recognized walking in. Unfortunately, I don't live nearby... but I will be back. Hopefully soon.

Hidden in Plain Sight Gem! My mom lives right down the street, we've driven by thousands of times and never knew this Cafe was here! Service was excellent. It's refreshing coming from the DMV and experiencing Southern hospitality. Rami's is a seat yourself, take your check to the cashier to pay your bill. Service in between is so homey, relaxed. My mom loved her fresh made burger with all the toppings. My veggie grilled cheese was different but yummy. Grilled cheese with mayo, lettuce and tomato. My Aunt raved about the housemade cole slaw. I had a bite of my niece's chocolate chip pancakes, delicious. Small but mighty!

Saturday 10:30, parking was available, but tight! Restaurant 3/4 full but we were immediately seated. Seated at clean booth, where I commence watching the wait staff. WOWZA! First word that comes to mind is professional. Quick, watchful, polite with smiles. Breakfast menu had something for everyone. If one is looking for French or bougie....this isn't your place. I had the potato omelet, wheat toast, hubby had 2 eggs scrambled, ham, biscuits/gravy. He rated his 4 of 5. Ham was sandwich ham, "not ham, ham". Portions sizes good, not excessive, coffee good.. Unsweetened tea, coffee, $24.00 with tip. This is the perfect place for a local, decently prepared meal served by professionals.

First time couple weeks ago…read more Stopped after golf with 2 friends on a Saturday about 5 pm. Busy with 45 min wait but were told we could wait in the separate bar with first come basis seating. That's what we did and got seated and drinks ordered and dinner menus promptly, Bar /wait staff was very good for a busy time. Live music and crowd in the bar in a living room type atmosphere too loud for an intimate dinner more a sing along fun time place, separate from the main more quiet dining area. Got fried mushrooms appetizer and filet mignon as entree. The filet was high quality very tender perfectly prepared and had a wood grilled flavor. Also got a fresh garden salad and giant baked potato ...excellent well worth the $48 price. Others had a huge burger and cheese steak with fries. Both also very good. Too stuffed for desert but it looked yummy. Was impressed with bar drinks, beer and wine selections. Best steak I've had in this area from Lexington Ky to Knoxville TN. On par with nineteen 19 in Cumberland gap as nicest restaurant in the local area. I'll be back.

The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and relaxing, with soaring vaulted ceilings, a gorgeous stone fireplace, plenty of natural light, and air conditioning that makes it the perfect place to escape the Tennessee heat. They even have a covered porch with fans and café lighting if you'd rather enjoy your coffee outside. The beachy Hawaiian vibe is unlike anything else around. It's peaceful, inviting, and a wonderful place to study, catch up with friends, work remotely, or simply unwind with a great cup of coffee. The coffee is outstanding. Mahalo roasts their own beans, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Every cup is smooth, rich, and full of flavor. My favorite is the decaf, which has delicious notes of cocoa and toasted marshmallow, but I've enjoyed several of their regular coffees too. They also offer great milk options, including Califia Farms almond and oat milk, along with traditional milk, cream, and other alternatives. The drive-thru is quick and convenient, making it easy to grab a coffee on the go, but I highly recommend spending a little time inside because the space is so inviting. Their merchandise is also adorable! The shirts, hats, mugs, and bags of freshly roasted coffee make it hard to leave without taking something home. If you're anywhere near Knoxville and looking for an incredible local coffee shop, Mahalo Coffee is absolutely worth the stop. Between the exceptional coffee, beautiful space, amazing staff, and genuine hospitality, it's the kind of place you'll want to visit again and again. Mahalo truly brings a little slice of Hawaii to East Tennessee. Highly recommend!

If I'd had more time, I would have loved hanging out here for a while. I only managed to get here about 45 minutes to close, so their selection was understandably if somewhat disappointingly quite picked over. I wound up with a cranberry oat scone and a blueberry and raspberry hand tart. The employee was very pleasant and warm. I appreciated her eagerness to help and positive attitude despite my late arrival. The baked goods sadly didn't really live up to my expectations. The cranberry oat scone was the much better of the two; it was pleasantly sweet and had the proper scone texture and only a little dry. Unfortunately, the hand tart had several edges that I discovered later had been burnt. This impacted the flavor of the whole item and sadly diminished it greatly. The fruit filling was tasty at least, though I didn't get much raspberry from it -- mostly blueberry. I'd be down to try again in the future, just would come earlier in the day when the selection is a bit larger and the products available are a bit more "choice," let's say. I appreciated the kind service and lovely vibes!
