    Gyro Pita

This is isn't a typical strip mall restaurant. The place is clean and updated. You order from the counter and take a seat. The gentleman running the restaurant took our order and was extremely pleasant and friendly. We ordered the gyro with feta and a side of tzatziki. The pita was so fresh...did they just make it, idk. The meat was flavorful and juicy, but not greasy. The tzatziki had a fresh lemon flavor. The fries had a great seasoning on them and were crispy with a soft inside, perfection. If I lived near this place I'd be a regular.

I am originally from California which is saturated with amazing Mediterranean food. Today I was really craving a gyros sandwich and came across Aladdin's cafe in Knoxville. I must say, it was an exceptional experience that deserves nothing less than a 5 star rating. I ordered the Gyros Pita Combo, which included lamb (didn't pay attention to if it was grilled or off the rotisserie), Tzatziki sauce, crisp lettuce, tomato, and the perfect touch of onion. The pita was fresh and the flavors in this dish were high level, a true touch of Mediterranean cuisine. I requested my fries"well done," and they came out as requested. They were not only perfectly crispy but also piping hot. Not overcooked with just the right crunch and softness in each fry. Aladdins Cafe's cleanliness and inviting ambiance also enhanced the dining experience. The Cafe had an aroma that filled the air created an atmosphere that set it apart from neighboring Mediterranean restaurants. I wholeheartedly recommend Aladdins Cafe to anyone in search of an authentic and delightful and fairly quick Mediterranean dining experience. This establishment's dedication to flavor, freshness, and cleanliness truly sets it apart. If you're in the area give it a try! Five stars all the way!

Really like this place... This is a low key restaurant with really good food and friendly service. I had the gyro with fries which was really good. I loved the fries. It surprise's me the I haven't found this place earlier. Worth a visit - I have to stop back to try a different meal...

    Perfect health score

Visited here for a date night randomly. Definitely worth the stop, might have the best fries i've ever had and a really excellent Gyro. The staff is super friendly, and you can tell they got an A+/100 on their health score. the restaurant is extremely clean and put together. So amazing!

If anyone remembers the old Penn Station that was here before, it was a place you went in once and never came back. I'm so thankful Aladdin's moved across town from Central and Woodland to where he is now, right in the heart of West Hills. The sandwiches are fire: steak in a sack, falafel, gyro, cheeseburger heaven, etc, and not to mention they have one of my favorite sides Fried Okra!! So if you find yourself in the West Hills area, and want a good meal, stop by and grab a gyro or whatever sandwich you may be craving. I know you will love it! Cheers & Enjoy!

Gyro pita with a side of breaded okra.

Super friendly folks and Great food! Was down this way to shop and checked Yelp for a place to grab some lunch. It caught our eye that Gyros, Shawarma were on the menu alongside breaded okra - No, really. My wife loves breaded okra and said this was the best she's ever had! She had the Gyro pita with okra and I had the chicken shawarma pita with fried mushrooms. All was fantastic! Such nice people enhanced the experience! Definitely on our list for repeat visits. They also had some good looking desserts but we didn't try those, yet.

    Steak shawarma with okra

Tried them for the first time today, and 100% will be back. Friendly service, the place was immaculate, and the food...AMAZING! I had the steak shawarma with fried okra and my husband had the gyro burger with onion rings. We shared the Greek salad. We will for sure be putting this on our regular list of places to eat.

When we made a reservation on the website there was no mention of a pre fixe menu. Not on the website, and not with the reservation. We went intending to get light appetizers, but when we arrived we were told that the only option was a 55 dollar per person menu. While we were annoyed by the bait and switch we decided to stay because there was no chance of getting a table anywhere else. I'll start by saying that I Know that Valentine's Day is historically very busy, but over half the tables in the restaurant were empty, and I've been in significantly busier environments where I still received a high level of service. In this instance, saying that we were dismissed by the staff was an understatement. My wife was sat while I was parking, and when I joined her I wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. We asked one question the server who was dropping off the food snapped at us and acted extremely irritated that we even addressed her while she dropped the food off. We asked for tea because we knew that was one of their specialties. The response that was snapped back was "no tea tonight, if you want drinks go pay at the bar, it's separate." The table beside us seemed to clearly be VIPs as the were in fact served several pots of tea. All in all the staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience and they didn't want us to be in the restaurant. The exception was a very nice server wearing a light colored dress, she was very kind, which only made everyone else's disdain all the more evident by contrast. The food itself was just ok. Course 1: salads, it had fruit and fresh vegetables. It was excellent. Course 2: zucchini and eggplant with beef. It was well cooked but the sauce was extremely bland. Course 3: chicken stuffed with liver. This was gross, not even edible. Course 4: leg of lamb with rice. Once again the meat was well prepared, but it here was almost no seasoning. The rice that came with it was undercooked and kinda tough. Course 5: It was listed as braised beef brisket, but it was just an unseasoned pot roast. I expected Mediterranean food to be presented with a significantly more interesting range of flavor profiles. Course 6: Baklava, really great! The layers were crisp and the flavor was smooth. All that to say, it wasn't anywhere near worth the cost, I went for a light dinner and only had the option of buying a heavy 6 course menu. Other tables were given service and we were treated as an annoyance. The location was very convenient, so they have that going for them... which is nice.

The souvlaki minis were basically Mediterranean street tacos. That lamb was some of the most tender lamb I've ever had. My aunt treated me to a birthday drink but I couldn't decide on a cocktail so they suggested a cocktail flight, which was a great option. I don't remember exactly which if you get my drift...but I enjoyed each one. Sea bass is my favorite fish and they did a great job with the lavraki, and the orzo pasta was light and buttery. My only criticism would be that the broccolini was still crunchy and could have used more seasoning and the dollop of saffron butter was hardly noticeable unfortunately. I also had a bite of the butter lobster pasta and really enjoyed the richness. I was surprised when the server said they don't make their own pasta because the bucatini was very tasty too. And for dessert, they brought loukomades, or Greek donuts. Very simple in concept but how can you go wrong with frying something, covering it with honey, then dipping in caramel and chocolate. While Kefi is more of a special treat-type place for me due to the cost, my real decision will be: do I go with what I know I like or do I try something else delicious next time?
