There is a reason this page has nothing but 5 star reviews. The work is top notch, but what makes them stand out to me is the customer service. I've dealt with many auto body shops in the past, and jobs that don't involve insurance work generally get passed over as a priority. A job that is promised to take a month, turns into 18 months quickly with little communication in-between, especially with classic cars like mine. That was not Downtown Collision. They stuck to their original timeline without sacrificing the quality of work. Gabriel kept me informed on the progress of the job the whole time. Sent me photos of the progress and checked in if there were any issues that needed a decision. Can't say enough good things about the level of honest customer service. And the level of work is impeccable. I brought in a classic car that needed the roof to be treated and painted due to rust. At every step they could've taken short cuts, but didn't. The roof came back looking immaculate. Even matched the original color perfectly. They came across some areas of rust that were too far gone to treat, and did seamless patch repair. Found some great solutions to problems without obvious answers. They made sure the job was done in a way that I would be happy with and kept me informed the whole time. Can't say enough good things about Gabriel and his team. No need to look further. In a world of body shops that are frustrating to work with, Downtown Collision breaks the mold. read more

AAA recommended this shop to me when my 2025 Equinox EV was damaged be another vehicle while it was parked at Home Depot. I made the appointment and was extremely pleased with the work that they performed on my vehicle, the quality of the repair and the efficient and courteous treatment that I experienced by Gabe and staff. If you are reluctant to us a shop recommended by your insurer, you can forget your worries about that if you decide to use Downtown Collision. I strongly recommend this business. They are fast, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Best experience that I have had with auto body repair. They also arranged for my rental vehicle with no hitches. read more

Came here to fix the Benz after we were rear ended. This place is great! Car looks amazing and they basically returned it detailed. Haven't seen my car this clean since I purchased it. Excellent service. read more

The reviews don't lie - these people really are the best. 6 days after being rear-ended, my car is not only back to perfect condition, but also squeaky clean on the outside AND inside. My insurance agency gave me the name of this company and after seeing the reviews, I went ahead with them. Gabe handled everything professionally, smoothly, and expediently. They had me in for an estimate the day after the collision, and two business days later I was dropping my car off for the work to be done. They told me it would take a couple of days, and to my utter delight, the next day they called to say my car was ready for pick up! When I arrived to pick up my car, I almost didn't recognize it because the wheels were looking so shiny - I was so surprised to see the nice wash it had been given. Then I opened the door, only to realize they had ALSO deep-cleaned the inside! My jaw dropped. Talk about feeling taken care of! You cannot go wrong with Downtown Collision. They clearly know what they are doing from start to finish, and I'm so grateful for the service they provided me. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! read more

Had a scraped fender repainted. There was no dent nor structural damage at all. So imagine my surprise to hear after a thorough exam and estimate that a 2 foot square of scratched paint costs $1388 to repair. My wife said "You're living in the past with old prices in your head. Everything costs twice the amount even from just 5 years ago". The folks here at Downtown are professionals. Courteous, communicative, friendly and patient. The repair job was quoted to take 3 days. They completed the job in two days. The work is perfect. Looks factory fresh. The car was completely detailed inside and out. Looked cleaner and fresher smelling than when I bought it at the dealership. Despite the dent in my wallet, this business is 5 stars all the way. Highly recommended. read more

I would highly recommended this shop. I had to get my bumper fixed. They called the rental car company to drop of my rental after I finished the paper work. I was not having success with the insurance company in getting reimbursed for the car rental so I called Downtown Collision to call the insurance and within 4 days I received the reimbursement for the car rental. I was very happy with the repair work. My car hadn't look so good in a long time. read more

Awesome service! Our estimator Gabriel was amazing. Staff is attentive and everyone is great at keeping you in the loop. Can't say enough good things about these guys. Our brand new work truck was damaged at the busiest time of the year for us . They were able to order the door in advance, Paint it, and have us drop off the truck for a one-day swap, and we were only out of our workhorse for one day! read more

This shop went above and beyond. They did a very thorough inspection of my vehicle following an accident, and even gave me a heads up about my battery life. They coordinated a rental car with my insurance for me. And they even detailed the inside of my car. Not to mention the customer service is amazing. I definitely will be coming back to this shop if I ever need repairs on my vehicle again. read more

Well I got into a car accident, fortunately it was a slow one but bad thing was it was a hit and run. I called my insurance and they recommended Downtown Collision, so I brought my car here. Not only was the staff able to see me the day of the accident for an evaluation of my cars damaged they stayed in touch with me every step of the way. They sent texts and emails keeping me up to date, they were kind and friendly. I just got my car back and I swear it looks better than when I bought it and it drives even better. They washed it inside and out, it is so clean I would have thought it was sent to an expensive car detailer, I'm so happy with my experience I recommend them highly. Now I hope you don't need their services but if you do don't go anywhere else but Downtown Collision here in Santa Rosa read more

Downtown Collision - Clean Car :) - Body Shops Near Me - Santa Rosa, California

You never need a body shop until you need one...I was hit by someone last year and the local insurance adjuster recommended Downtown Collision - they were great to work with! So, it was a no brainer, with another accident to go directly to them. They are quick, responsive, explain things, coordinate a rental etc. When my insurance company was recommending something that didn't seem right, they took it upon themselves to research it further for me, ensuring that I was taken care of. They are great - my go to shop. Don't hesitate to use them. read more

Where do I start? I own an older but clean Benz. Ripped the front bumper off in a Safeway parking lot. Taped it up and drove for 3 weeks! My mechanic who I adore recommended Downtown Collision. Unfortunately, my ins. co. totaled my car out. Leaving Gabriel and I shocked! I bought my car back as a Salvage. Gabriel made a grim situation bearable and helped me immensely. My car came back looking brand new. Beautiful, timely, affordable, fair and professional. They went above and beyond! 10 Stars to them.... read more

Highly recommend Downtown Collisoon for any body work. Very friendly, reasonably priced, fast service and fine work.

Really amazing job, great consumer service and really kind people. Finished the job quicker and really good at explaining everything

They replaced a taillight assembly on my 2005 Prius. No body work or painting. The LED part of the assembly had burned out. Downtown's price was almost 1/3 the price quoted by one Toyota dealer. They were able to do it the next day after I first called. They did the work very quickly, and it's just like new. The final cost matched the telephone quote to the penny. The icing on the cake was that Mike (co-owner) was super pleasant and a joy to work with. Downtown Auto Body is a positive part of our community. read more

Downtown Collision 509 Frazier Ave, Santa Rosa I can't say enough about Downtown collision. If I could I would give them 10 stars I would. My front left bumper was practically torn off, including the front light, and side mirror. They were so nice, and kept me informed about the repair progress. I also asked them to repair damage on the right side which I would personally pay for as it was not included in my insurance claim, and it was reasonably priced. They did a fabulous job. The repainting was beautiful. And to top it off, they completely cleaned the inside, windows, seats, dashboard. My car has never been that clean. If you should need and body repair shop, Downtown Collision is the best, you just can't do better than them. Trish Campbell read more

Had a dented rear trunk with broken tail & turn lights. (Hit & Run in grocery store parking lot...) Tried to get it repaired for 6 months through another local bodyshop with no success. Was referred to Downtown Collision by Empire Too (a terrific mechanic, if you have a Japanese car, they're the go-to!) and the service at Downtown was equally impressive! They got the repair done quickly, efficiently and under the estimate. They even washed the car before pick-up!! Highly recommend! read more

Doing business with any kind of business doesn't get better than this. Downtown Collision sets the gold standard for their excellent work and customer service. Gary L. Worked with me on a repair estimate after my parked car was sideswiped in a parking lot. He is very professional and kind and helpful We set up a date a few weeks off to accommodate my travel schedule. Easy! Brought the car in on Monday morning. Picked up the rental. "See you on Friday!" Simple and straightforward. Then reality: family emergency in Southern California and I need my car. I called to see if it could be done early and gave the reason. First response: Is everybody okay? After a few minutes, Gary came back and said "yes. Of course it will be ready a day early." And it was! Michael and the office erson (sorry I didn't catch her name) were so kind and asked about my family member and was I okay!' And the car looks fantastic. The body work is impeccable. They detailed the car inside and out. It looks better than when I bought it I can't say enough about this place. Great work. Professional. Kind. I hope to not have body work done in my car again AND if I do I'm coming back to Downtown Collision. Thank you! read more

My Bullitt is beautiful thanks to Downtown Collision! My car needed paint corrections - Gabriel Gutierrez looked at her and found more oversprays and other imperfections. I have always used Downtown Collision they are great professional and do great work highly recommend them. Thank You Gus and staff!!

These guys are hands down the best! I've been going to downtown collision since 2023 and they have always been my go to for any accidents(not caused by me). Last week my friend got in a car accident and the first shop that came to mind was them! I called them and their after hours operated answered explained the situation to her and literally less than 5 minutes after our call the owner Gus calls me back. The first thing he said was "Brenda are you okay" let me tell you this made me feel even better recommending my friend to this shop. He was very understanding and compassionate to our situationhe explained to me that he would be able to meet us at the shop keep in mind this was almost at 7pm on a Tuesday night, once we arrived to the shop he greeted us and took my friend made her feel so much better explained what would most likely happen and not to stress a lot since a car we can replace but as long as she was okay that's what mattered. She came in a wreck, and left so relieved after Gus talked to her and told her what to expect. I'm so happy I got to work with Gabriel and Gus there! Thanks for all that you do. read more

Great company, solid employees front to back. Will recommend to family and friends for the future.

Excellent service from the moment I walked in till I picked up my car. My 2018 Corolla was side-swiped and a door panel had to be replaced, plus some repairs on the adjacent panels. To top of the great job they returned the car spic and span clean outside and in. I highly recommend this shop. And, Gary is a gentleman. read more

Loved my first experience with Downtown but you don't really want a second one soon after... Six months after my first no-fault parking lot accident I had the exact same no-fault parking lot accident, but this time affecting the other side of my car. Gus Trevana and Downtown to the rescue. Gus set an even higher bar for his work this time since I was such a regular customer, and I picked up my car today after he had his entire staff linger over my vehicle until it looked like it had just emerged from the showroom. Gus' staff are great and do their work with enthusiasm and energy and excellence. The body work was beautiful and the bonus detail work made me feel very well taken care of, and kind of, just a little, wishing for one more no fault parking lot accident in which the front of my car were damaged. Gus said if I had a third episode I should consider my vehicle jinxed and sell it. I replied that I thought I was blessed to be able to have this great work done at the expense of the drivers who slammed into me, and therefore would be happy to see him again, as long it were no-fault to me... If you get slammed into, go here. You will be happy you did. read more
