I had been recommended this place by another automotive business for a big scratch along the passenger side of my 2023 Nissan Leaf. I had been putting off dealing with the scratch because the last time i had a fender bender issue and had to go through insurance with an auto body shop, I'd had a bad experience with the rental car company they used trying to pin me with a ticket that wasn't mine, and long crazy story unrelated here. I had gone back to the same auto body shop (because it appeared they did a good job and they were very nice people, rental car not really their fault). But even though, to me it looked like a smaller job, they told to me it would be another biggish job, reaching into near $5000 to repair with panels, bumper, and paint repair, where I'd need a rental car co again so i had put it off, for fear of using rental car co, plus i have a $1000 deductible (ouch). To make a long story shorter i came into Downtown auto, upon referral, and met with a very nice guy, Martin. He took a look at my scratches and actually buffed them all out on the spot! (wow!) and gave me a bid to fix my front bumper for less than my deductible so i wouldn't even need to go through the insurance and rent a car! Plus, he said it'd be done in like 2 hours. I made the appointment and can't wait to update this review further. Btw, it's a comfortable waiting area, with nice glass viewing windows to see what's going on with your ride. And if you need to make a Costco run that day? It's conveniently located right across the street! read more

The reviews don't lie - these people really are the best. 6 days after being rear-ended, my car is not only back to perfect condition, but also squeaky clean on the outside AND inside. My insurance agency gave me the name of this company and after seeing the reviews, I went ahead with them. Gabe handled everything professionally, smoothly, and expediently. They had me in for an estimate the day after the collision, and two business days later I was dropping my car off for the work to be done. They told me it would take a couple of days, and to my utter delight, the next day they called to say my car was ready for pick up! When I arrived to pick up my car, I almost didn't recognize it because the wheels were looking so shiny - I was so surprised to see the nice wash it had been given. Had a scraped fender repainted. There was no dent nor structural damage at all. So imagine my surprise to hear after a thorough exam and estimate that a 2 foot square of scratched paint costs $1388 to repair. My wife said "You're living in the past with old prices in your head. Everything costs twice the amount even from just 5 years ago". The folks here at Downtown are professionals. Courteous, communicative, friendly and patient. The repair job was quoted to take 3 days. They completed the job in two days. The work is perfect. Looks factory fresh. The car was completely detailed inside and out. I would highly recommended this shop. I had to get my bumper fixed. They called the rental car company to drop of my rental after I finished the paper work. I was not having success with the insurance company in getting reimbursed for the car rental so I called Downtown Collision to call the insurance and within 4 days I received the reimbursement for the car rental. Well I got into a car accident, fortunately it was a slow one but bad thing was it was a hit and run. I called my insurance and they recommended Downtown Collision, so I brought my car here. Not only was the staff able to see me the day of the accident for an evaluation of my cars damaged they stayed in touch with me every step of the way. They sent texts and emails keeping me up to date, they were kind and friendly. I just got my car back and I swear it looks better than when I bought it and it drives even better. They washed it inside and out, it is so clean I would have thought it was sent to an expensive car detailer, I'm so happy with my experience I recommend them highly. They replaced a taillight assembly on my 2005 Prius. No body work or painting. The LED part of the assembly had burned out. Downtown's price was almost 1/3 the price quoted by one Toyota dealer. They were able to do it the next day after I first called. They did the work very quickly, and it's just like new. The final cost matched the telephone quote to the penny. Downtown Collision 509 Frazier Ave, Santa Rosa I can't say enough about Downtown collision. If I could I would give them 10 stars I would. My front left bumper was practically torn off, including the front light, and side mirror. They were so nice, and kept me informed about the repair progress. I also asked them to repair damage on the right side which I would personally pay for as it was not included in my insurance claim, and it was reasonably priced. They did a fabulous job. The repainting was beautiful. And to top it off, they completely cleaned the inside, windows, seats, dashboard. My car has never been that clean. He is very professional and kind and helpful We set up a date a few weeks off to accommodate my travel schedule. Easy! Brought the car in on Monday morning. Picked up the rental. "See you on Friday!" Simple and straightforward. Then reality: family emergency in Southern California and I need my car. I called to see if it could be done early and gave the reason. First response: Is everybody okay? After a few minutes, Gary came back and said "yes. Of course it will be ready a day early." And it was! These guys are hands down the best! I've been going to downtown collision since 2023 and they have always been my go to for any accidents(not caused by me). Last week my friend got in a car accident and the first shop that came to mind was them! I called them and their after hours operated answered explained the situation to her and literally less than 5 minutes after our call the owner Gus calls me back. The first thing he said was "Brenda are you okay" let me tell you this made me feel even better recommending my friend to this shop. He was very understanding and compassionate to our situationhe explained to me that he would be able to meet us at the shop keep in mind this was almost at 7pm on a Tuesday night, once we arrived to the shop he greeted us and took my friend made her feel so much better explained what would most likely happen and not to stress a lot since a car we can replace but as long as she was okay that's what mattered. Loved my first experience with Downtown but you don't really want a second one soon after... Six months after my first no-fault parking lot accident I had the exact same no-fault parking lot accident, but this time affecting the other side of my car. Gus Trevana and Downtown to the rescue. Gus set an even higher bar for his work this time since I was such a regular customer, and I picked up my car today after he had his entire staff linger over my vehicle until it looked like it had just emerged from the showroom. Gus' staff are great and do their work with enthusiasm and energy and excellence. The body work was beautiful and the bonus detail work made me feel very well taken care of, and kind of, just a little, wishing for one more no fault parking lot accident in which the front of my car were damaged. Gus said if I had a third episode I should consider my vehicle jinxed and sell it. I replied that I thought I was blessed to be able to have this great work done at the expense of the drivers who slammed into me, and therefore would be happy to see him again, as long it were no-fault to me...
