    Last stop in Kingston

Downpour brewing is easy walking distance from the ferry terminal and was the perfect ending to a fun day exploring Kingston and the surrounding areas. I was mildly surprised that they weren't packed on a Saturday evening, great selection of beers ( their own and some guest beers) and ciders, a great seating area inside and outside. A beautiful evening to chill on the patio with a cold Strata IPA with the string lighting lit up patio with TV's playing sports. Maybe because no local teams were playing, made for a light crowd? Service was friendly and quick to ask about another, before an empty glass. The Strata IPA was great, good strata hop flavor without being overly hoppy, I also tried the Made Marion cider.. a delicious Marion berry flavor. Definitely a great stop as you start your adventures or on the way back to the ferry. Good and plentiful seating for singles or groups. Cheers!

A great neighborhood brewery that's walking distance from the Kingston Ferry Terminal and our favorite Firehouse movie theater. We stopped in after a matinee at the Firehouse for a beer before heading home. It was pouring rain, so we chose a seat at a picnic table inside next to the Wall of Dogs, photos of all of the Downpour Doggies, who I assume, are welcome any time with their humans. On a sunny day we might grab burgers from The Grub Hut across the street and sit outside on the patio to enjoy good food, good weather and great beer.

What a great stop before and after ferry and anytime you are in the neighborhood. Tasty beers and amazing cider today...watermelon rhubarb - superb! Very personable proprietor and great space! Go away CoVid and keep this awesome place busy !

Dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and affordable! Like most, we stopped by here before our ferry departure and so glad we did! There's free street parking right outside and you are greeted with a friendly smile from the moment you walk in. 4 of us had a flight each and all the beers were absolutely delicious. They REALLY love dogs are this brewery. If you ask, they'll take a Polaroid picture of your dog and add it to their wall of dogs! To add to its list of inclusiveness, there's even an area in the back with toys for your kids. They don't serve food, but are open to outside food. One of our group members simply crossed the street to get McDonald's and brought a large bag of goodies back. Highly recommend!

Very good mix of brews. Wheat, pale, scotch, cider, stout, cookie, and the red beers on tap. My favorite was the scotch beer. They have snacks and a very friendly staff!!

I see the low reviews, mostly from people with young children about noise, and not about the beer. I've been at BB when the decibel level of children upstairs is quite loud. Parents have been asked by barkeeps to tone it down. Most comply, but some treat the place like it is a MacDonalds play space and take affront. Please consider that the primary business at BB is adult oriented, and bar flies, we can think back to when joy was freely (and loudly) expressed. Think temperance on both sides - but not about alcohol :-]

It seems to be a favorite place for families to gather during those times, which can make finding a seat difficult. By early evening, most folks have cleared out, and it's pretty empty as the 9:00 hour approaches. We particularly like sitting upstairs since there's pinball close by (four machines), which we used quite a bit on our last visit. And, of course, there's their beer, which I love. My favorite is the Eagle Harbor IPA, their signature West Coast IPA. Their Kömmuter Kölsch is also one of my favorites (and likewise my girlfriend's favorite). I frequently buy cans of both to take home (which you can also buy at the Safeway on High School Road, and at the alehouse on Winslow near the ferry terminal).

It's great that you can enter and leave thru the garage. Parking is timed, but it usually seems to be the right amount of time, if not there is some street parking available. Inside is large and welcoming, there are a few bar type seats. There are multiple bathrooms which I always appreciate in a brewery. I miss the days of the local food trucks, but you can bring food or order from a place next door most days. This is a great place to meet up with others or have a regularly scheduled meet up, they are so accommodating and helpful. My book club meets here currently. It's great because we are able to get a section reserved ahead of time, its away from the TVs and never so loud that we have trouble hearing each other. They are also open every day and have later hours than a lot of breweries seem to have these days. They have multiple beers on tap, always something new and are happy to offer tastes if you have trouble deciding. If you don't drink beer there are ciders, wine and root beer as well. I've tried tons of things, they are all tasty. I have a 5th anniversary Belgian Triple Crowler in my fridge right now. Everyone who works here is super nice and the vibe is always chill. There's trivia on Tuesdays at 7, but I have yet to check this out. It's dog friendly, currently with a dedicated posting area for pics of the brewery dogs that come to visit. In good weather it's great to sit outside. If you are so inclined this is walking distance from the newly opened light rail station. Check it out.
