Second review 6 years after my initial review. I was still in and out in 10 minutes, with all my completed smog paperwork. I love the easement of this service, as an update the $5 off Yelp deal is no longer valid, but still worth the trip for a quick turn around.

This place opens on Sundays which is perfect for procrastinators like me. I went in here for a smog check, it was quick and reasonably priced. I forgot my dmv notice and the after market intake certification sticker, but the tech still took care of me. Highly recommended. read more

I got my smog check taken care of here yesterday. Oscar helped me out and was so so nice! I called ahead and assumed I'd have to make an appointment after reading their awesome reviews, but he was able to see me the same day. It only took like 15 minutes and the price was great. Straight to the point: I highly recommend them! Luckily I had enough sense to use Yelp to find a local Smog Check business that had a good rating. This place is fast, reliable, and reasonably priced! Oscar took care of me and was awesome. Only thing is that it's a little hard to find if you're driving on the street. It's located on the same lot as a car wash and is all the way to the back. You'll see it if you drive in the lot though. Check them out! read more

I got a quote from a few different places. They were ridiculous. One guy I spoke to said he changes $80 +$8.50 and if I brought a coupon it would total to $50-60. I found this place and it was legit, fast and easy. I paid $40 and the service was done in less than 30mins. Used my debit card with no additional fee. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I've been coming here since high school for all my smog checks needs at Downey Express! With all the different cars I had to switch to throughout college, it always passed with the same price ($60). I found the location through searching yelp and I came here and Oscar was outstanding. When I showed up he was working on 1 car inside and there was 1 other ahead of me. I was greeted by a young man and asked me for my paperwork and started to check me in. I was probably in and out in about 30 mins, I definitely going to bring my other cars here. read more

Very professional spot! Its inside this car wash complex so when you drive up stay to the right side and someone will help you. I had the pleasure of oscar helping me out. He told me the price which is better than most places. It usually takes 20 to 45 mins for a smog test. Took me at best, 10 to 15 minutes. Best times to go is around 10 to 12 pm. Thanks again! Wow! Pretty amazing place. Never thought to ever review a smog service place, but this place is exceptional. I've never waited for more than 15 minutes. This last one was 10 minutes. No kidding. I highly recommend this place if you need a smog done on your car. I've been here before and Oscar is a pretty amazing guy. Honest, fast and personable. Went in for my Smog Star Test yesterday and Oscar was a great help. I called about 7 other places in the area and this was by far the cheapest place, for $40. I want to thank Jay who helped people the day I went. The facility was clean and organized, so I felt very comfortable about coming here. They are next to car wash and a gas station. Also, Stonewood Mall is across the way too. The had coffee and snacks, I loved that they had Kirkland coffee pods, oh heck yea. The waiting area is not huge but enough. Instead of showing any customer appreciation he wanted to charge me $150 for a job that takes 10 minutes to do.I said I will do it myself. It took about 2 hours for an oil change and the manger said they had a hard time taken my oil filter off next time I come in it will cost more MONEY.
