The staff was great and very professional Thank you for explaining I appreciate your time and clarity. read more

Customer beware! This store no longer exist! All of the websites are still there, including Google and yelp. Do not fall for any of the reviews. Those are from the old place. This is a lash store! When I spoke to the manager, I was told everybody else knew and I should've known. They also do not answer their phone. read more

Favorite spray tan. Always bronze, never orange! Scheduling is easy and very professional. Parking is easy at the new location by target.

I've been coming here for 20 years and have used both the tanning beds and spray tans. Trish, the owner is amazing, accommodating, and does a wonderful job with the upkeep of this business. I will never use any other tanning business! read more

Literally never answers the phone you could call over and over and over again throughout the day! Why do y'all even have a phone system makes no sense read more

What an experience! A family member recommended me try this place and I jumped at the opportunity. When I came in, I was graciously introduced to Trish. Trish walked me through step by step how to spray work. During the spray, I felt beyond comfortable even through I wasn't fully dressed. The atmosphere and conversations just made me feel so safe. I will be coming back and highly recommending if people are looking for a tanning. read more

I have been coming here for years and appreciate women owned businesses. Trish is kind, professional, and engaging. I have done tanning, spray, and red light therapy. Everything is always clean and everyone that works there attentive. Thank you for your great customer service. read more

I've been getting sprayed by Trisha for a couple years now. She is so amazing at what she does. My tans last a little over a week with proper care. I also have a red light therapy membership here. I try to come daily for 20 minutes. The staff are so sweet and helpful. Another thing I appreciate and I know you will to... the level of cleanliness. They take their time with cleaning the tanning beds after every use. Highly recommend this place for spray tans and red light therapy! read more

First off, this place is off of 580 right before the hill to go to Tracy, so going there after work is not at option if you live in Pleasanton or further West, as it takes 35 minutes to drive there when you live 15 minutes away due to traffic, & they close at 7:00PM, & 3:00 on the weekends. What the heck business closes at 7:00? So going there after work is not an option for me! Good thing I only bought 5 tans, as they would go to waste. They also don't have all the cool options that the Tracy location has! The place seems clean, but the hours suck. read more

The lady working was very unprofessional! As much as I love to be tan, I'd rather not deal with places like this. She gave me the wrong information over the phone and was unprofessional about it when she realized she did. I drove out of my way just to find out she keeps you and other customers waiting for personal reasons and doesn't at least acknowledge you while you're standing there. Very rude! It wasn't a medical emergency. It was a customer who Rudely chose to sleep in the tanning bed. I got to the salon 30 to 40 min After I even called. She said "sorry I gave you the wrong info over the phone . I was dealing with this situation." The situation wasn't fixed 30 min later? That's chaos and bad business. And it keeps being referred to as a medical emergency. It was not. I don't appreciate the dishonesty at all. read more

This place just rocks. I can't say enough about the top quality service and end result. We use them for every crusie we go on.

Rave for Melissa! If you're looking for a spray tan, ask for Melissa. She made the experience fun and easy! All the details down to the T. I was very comfortable being 95% nude with her from the getco. Will definitely come back again! read more

The ladies at Down Under Tanning are awesome. They make you feel so comfortable and there prices are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend them!!! read more

After a disappointing experience at Planet Tan, my frown got turned upside down by Amanda at Down Under Tanning Salon. She went above and beyond, even calling her manager to make sure we could get a special deal. Amanda also made me feel comfortable getting my spray tan, answering all of my silly questions. Great customer service! read more

This place is great -- I especially like that you don't have to make an appointment, it's located by Target (who doesn't love a Target?) and it's clean and well maintained. The girl with the brown hair and braces that works there is awesome .. I hope she gets paid more than the other girls because she is knowledgeable about the products, the beds and the tanning process. I was surprised she was so well informed (not something you expect at a tanning salon). I felt comfortable taking her recommendation regarding which lotion was best for my dry sensitive skin and how long each tanning session should be before I increase the time. Another great thing about this place is the variety of packages they offer. I like that i can sign up for 1-month unlimited. Lots of guys come tanning here, which I thought was kinda odd at first, but I guess vanity is for everyone! Downfall: Products are expensive here .. you can find the same ones lots cheaper online. read more

I enjoyed my visit here! It's my first time getting a spray tan the staff were really nice and informative on my first visit. I highly recommend a try out here read more

I just drove to the Livermore location and the girl told me they are closed because of family emergency. I took time to drive there . There should be more staffing to cover the hours listed. read more

I've been tanning here for over 5 years now. I love this place. But I recently started doing Red Light Therapy and OMG! After using red light therapy for a few months my acne is gone my cellulite is much less noticeable and my tan is so much darker! The red light helps your skin produce collagen and that's exactly what I needed! Thank you down under tanning salon you guys are the best in the whole area!!! read more

I have been going to down under tanning in Livermore for years. Trish has been the owner for as long as I have been coming here ! Let me just start by saying she is amazing and super sweet always trying to make sure her customers are well taken care of. The salon is always clean and she always does her best to have the best prices for her salon and lotions! When I had moved I was still driving the extra 45 min just to come here, even though there were tanning salons close to my house. Absolutely adore her staff as well everyone is nice and greets you when you walk in and even if they are cleaning a bed they acknowledge you and let you know they will be with you in jus a moment !! If u ever need a quick tan or a even a good spray tan i recommend down under in livermore ! read more

I'm still so impressed wit the way this business has be run fight from the day it opened. It's super clean, all the beds are top of the line and always working and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful to the once a year person like me. Lastly...I just got the first and best spray tan ever from the owners daughter! So knowledgeable and professional as well!!! I look like I've been on vacation!!! I'll be back when it fades for sure!!!! read more

The spray tanning here is great!!! I had Trish give me a spray tan a few days before my wedding (I believe Wednesday, married Saturday)... NO color came off on my dress and NO streaks... The color was also very even and natural. I don't have much time to tan anymore so getting a spray tan here is perfect for me. I've always loved the beds here and spacious rooms, however, my time is limited so I typically just do the spray tan for quick color. Highly recommend spray tans here for anyone, including brides! read more

Its close, and it is convenient, but every time I go in here the place is left to be ran by high school girls - which is fine, but they are always on their phones, computers, reading a book... which again, i don't mind its probably really boring in there most of the day - but when a customer walks in you should put down what you're doing and not say "hang on a sec" while you finish your text or reading your page. I asked to go in a standup bed and what time they recommended based on my tanning experience and skin color and came out looking like a lobster because she put me in for 10 minutes when the last time I went in - three days before - was for 6 minutes. read more

This is the second time I've had a membership at Down Under. It's much more afordable than other options in town, it's always clean, little wait time, and the girls are always so sweet and attentive! They have a great selection of lotions and they now have the red light therapy beds which is great! Definitely my favorite tanning salon in town. read more

Love it here. Very clean, usually no wait. The girls are all very nice and helpful. The only hiccup I have experienced was one of the girls couldn't find me in the system and I had to spell my last name (which honestly isn't that hard) to her more than a few times. But it's not Down Under's fault she didn't win any spell a thons in her lifetime. read more

I have gone to Down Under tanning in Livermore for a couple of years now. They are amazing and I love there staff especially Kaylee. I decided foolishly to try another place last year and realized quickly that I had made a mistake. It solidified my membership to Down Under and I wont stray again. Tim read more

The owner is nice-does what she can it seems like, one of the girls has her boyfriend hang around the shop. Annoying. Also the matrix was broken for a long time, I only signed up to use that bed specifically. Owner offered 5 more matrix when my package ends but that doesn't do me any good when I have my trip in a week to the Dominican. I'd rather get some money back... Disappointed. Tanning beds are fine. read more

Down Under Tanning Salon - Spray Tanning Near Me - Livermore, California

I started going to Down Under, probably back in 2002 or so. I don't go often, usually just to get some even color before an event. I've really only had pleasant experiences here. If I remember right I think they used to give you jolly ranchers here and you could borrow goggles, but no jolly ranchers anymore and you have to bring or buy your own goggles. Not that those are negatives at all, just blurbs of mine.... Anyways, the decor here is really cute and the salon is very clean which is definitely important. The staff is usually fairly friendly, usually high school aged girls. One thing I do find a bit tacky is that they sell knockoff purses here....no one believes that those are real Chanels, you really should pick classier merchandise that is more relevant to the tanning business! Regardless, I will keep coming back when I need a tan and I do recommend Down Under! read more

I have been tanning here for just about a year! I love love love it! The prices are beyond reasonable, the knowledge from staff members is refreshing & the cleanliness is above standard. *customer service is far beyond expectation. You are always greeted with happy smiles & pleasing attitudes! All staff members have gone above & beyond to make your tanning experience wonderful! I have referred friends & will continue to do so! Great Job! read more

I have been going to this tanning salon for about a year now. Great prices and wonderful staff. Everything is always nice and clean, and usually no wait time-maybe 5 minutes on occasion. I tan in the level 4 bed which seems to tan me pretty well. Very affordable. I pay around $45 a month. At my last tanning place I paid nearly $100. They always have really good deals on lotion as well. I have not tried out the spray tans yet, but I heard they don't turn you orange. Every skin reacts different so we will have to see. read more

BEST Tanning Salon ever :) I have been tanning here for a couple years now & I am very satisfied!! They constantly change the bulbs in the beds... Super friendly & knowledgeable staff.. My experience at Down Under Tanning is always pleasant, friendly and most important these days Covid safe. They follow all the CDC guidelines and make me feel safe when I come in. The employees are knowledgeable about the different levels of tanning and what might be best for you. They are all about the customers and every time I come in I greeted like I am their best friend. After I tan I always feel relaxed. read more

I've been going to down under tanning for 10+ years, almost always for Matrix or stand up tan. I was happy to see that they recently added the spray tanning service, Bronze Goddess. I've been twice now, the first time with Shelby and the second with Cat. Both experiences were perfect. Very professional, while making me feel comfortable and at ease. The tan was great, lasted a solid ten days, and the talc at the end really makes a difference. I was really happy and will absolutely be returning for this new service. read more

If I could rate them a zero, I WOULD When I went in there, having never tanned before, I asked the OWNER of the store to help me choose what tanning bed and the amount of time I should stay in there. She proceeded to talk down on me like I was a small child because I did not know all of the details about tanning, HAVING NEVER TANNED BEFORE. FINALLLYYY I got into a bed, after her being extremely rude and condescending to me, she began to apologize for being rude to me, and I explained how I felt like she was attacking me. Mind you, throughout this entire experience I was being nice because I just wanted to get my damn tan and leave and not deal with this lady. After I stated that she made me feel attacked she then proceeded to demand that I leave the store, AFTER I HAD ALREADY PAID $39 ON GROUPON FOR THIS TANNING SALON, and was not allowed to tan there, BECAUSE I TOLD HER I FELT ATTACKED AND DID NOT WANT TO ARGUE I am completely appalled that she would turn away a customer that has ALREADY PAID and I am even more disgusted that she would speak to her customers in this way. I had never been there before this experience and you can be sure that I will NEVER EVER set foot in this tanning salon again. read more

This place is dirty the machines seem old. I went in one and there was rust on the outside of it. The front personed seemed snotty and not friendly.. O and they are a little more expensive then most.. I won't be back read more

We recently moved from the San Jose area and I was looking for a new tanning place. I decided to give down under a try because they actually had the matrix high pressure bed, they are close to my home, & fellow yelpers said the prices were good. Adrian helped me as soon as I walked in! She was so sweet, made me feel welcome, & was knowledgable on the beds and lotions. The salon was clean, cheerful, and the matrix was sanitized before my session. I will def be back! read more
