I told them what my car was doing and they figured out that it was most likely a sensor of some sort & that they'd call me when they knew for sure. It was about mid day when I dropped it off & they told me I'd hear from them the next day. Well the next day comes and goes and no word. I figure it's probably typical and they needed to order a part or something. By the third day he calls me about an hour before they close. He told me they replaced the sensor and my car should be good to go. It was almost $300 to fix the part so I was pretty bummed, but at least it was running. I have the car for a few days & go out to start it & ..... nothing. I was a bit aggravated so I called my parents to get their opinion and my step dad said that he'd take it back down there to find out what's going on. I got it to start, but it was acting up pretty bad again. I took it to my parents house, told my step dad what it was doing & he replaced the spark plugs. Guess what? It runs great now. So, was the sensor really bad? I guess I'll never know. It just frustrates me that it could have been as simple a fix as changing the spark plugs. (I just got the car recently & I didn't even think about that.) ARGH. If my car screws up again, I'll review them again if I take it down to this place. But for the next time I'll probably just let my step dad tell me his take on it first.
