He came out the same day I called, next day came out and cut down 2 trees. One tree close to the house ... he used his bucket lift and had it done in 30 minutes. The second tree he used a rope to guide the fall and dropped the tree exactly where he said. Very impressed. Took the time and answered all my questions. He did all the work before I even got called back from the other tree folks. His price was very reasonable, matter of fact, he was a couple hundred $$ less than 2 other quotes I got 6 months ago. Our experience with Douglass Tree LLC was superb in every way. They removed 4 of our dead cedars and two other trees. They showed up at the scheduled time ready to work and got right to it. They were efficient; everyone had a job and did it and were aware of their co-workers and all surroundings in the process; they worked well as a team. Everyone was safety conscious. They removed ALL of the debris and left our yard in the same amazing shape it was in when they arrived. You would never have known they were there except the dead trees were gone! We had some huge Cottonwood trees that were very scary with a lot of deadwood. This left me very nervous for the safety of those around the trees. One tree in particular was a beast! Dave and the crew showed up on time and were very knowledgeable and professional! Very nice guys and very trustworthy. I was never concerned about their ability to complete the job. They even left my property cleaner than when they arrived. They cleaned up a total of four trees including a huge Black Walnut that was in danger of growing into the power lines. Wow, our 2.5 acre property looks like a park and we can now see so much! We had our trees cleaned out and limbed up; cedars, Douglas firs, and 1 oak. Our trees are very old and incredibly tall so the knowledge of an arborist was appreciated. We had a 35-40 ft half-dead Willow tree that needed removal. It threatened multiple neighbors' yards as well. It was located over an edge with a six-foot drop... no easy access whatsoever! These people are great! Very fair estimate, wich is one of the reasons that we went with them. Very short lead time, for us that was a week from the time we gave the "go ahead". They showed up on time, to take down a large oak (160 yrs) in about 6 1/2 hrs. Considering that this tree hung over the house in a very tight backyard, I would say that they are miracle workers. Tried to find someone who would give me advice on a tree planted last month. I wanted to and glad I didn't after speaking to the gentleman at Douglas Tree to clip the lower branches off the 8' young tree. He said to wait until Fall that it would be better if I did not do anything to it right now as it is putting on growth and it would not be good. When we asked for a bid, Mike walked our property and identified the trees that were problematic as well as looking at the trees we were originally wanting to remove.
