I recently had a tree problem with a very tall redwood tree that broke a branch that dropped on my neighbors property during a wind storm. I decided for safety this tree should be cut back or cut down and I needed professional advice. I took 3 bids and this is why I chose this one. First impressions. When I called the person was very kind and she asked if itt was an emergency. They were dispatched to my house within the hour I called. The bid was to remove the tree in the neighbors yard and cut and trim my tall redwood where it would still look good and stand safe. The bid was fair and they worked with my budget. The bid was on Saturday and the job was started and finished Monday. I live on a busy street close to downtown Medford. His crew arrived prompt had the right equipment was safe and professional and hard working. This is a local company and I felt good in supporting local families. I am very satisfied with the result. J & J took down our dead fir tree which was near the street and VERY close to a power pole / lines. They were fast, efficient, SAFE, and made it look easy. They did an excellent job of grinding out the stump as well. All the branches were tossed into a chipper as they were removed from the trunk and the area was left clean & debris free. I was surprised by how reasonable the price was. I had expected to pay more. Dan & his crew were friendly and easy to work with. We had asked that the trunk be cut into manageable sections that we could use for our landscaping plans and they were happy to cut them to just the size we wanted. J and J tree service of central Point Oregon is a very competitively run outfit. Their work crew worked really hard on removing a tree from next to our shop, and over our fence, without damaging anything. They had to get everything a long way out to our driveway where the wood shredder was. And they did it with a smile. Fun crew! I also had them grind what was left of the trunk. This is the second time we have used them. Everything accomplished without any injuries, which is good because of the risk inherent with the business. They are bonded and have liability insurance. This service removed a HUGE 40+ y.o. silver maple from my property in Medford, OR recently... The crew worked efficiently, were well coordinated and communicated with each other (the fellow handling the chain saw was about 50 ft up in a bucket). This tree provided shade for about a 20+ ft. diameter... HUGE. Their clean-up was continuous throughout the process; they cut the larger limbs into firewood. The stump was ground out and my neighbor was pleased to add it as mulch to her vegetable garden. The front of my house looks great, even without my wonderful tree. J&J felled a 75 ft Sycamore tree, branches hanging over the back of the house. It was a beautiful tree with a lovely canopy but it had to go. In spite of its beauty it was messy, allergenic, and roots messed with the plumbing. Dan Bartell, owner came out promptly when I called for an estimate. The 3 days needed for removal, hauling, clean-up and stump grinding was scheduled last week. Work began exactly as planned.
