When I brought up my concerns, the stylist became defensive instead of trying to fix the problem. For how much I paid, this level of service is unacceptable. To make things worse, I overheard multiple stylists talking badly about another coworker and using foul language. It created an uncomfortable, unprofessional, and negative atmosphere. Immediately after receiving this email, I called the salon to cancel my appointment since there was no option to do so through the email itself. I called three times without an answer and ultimately left a voicemail requesting cancellation. Despite this, I received an email today stating that my card on file would be charged for missing the appointment. I promptly called your salon to clarify the situation and explained that I had canceled by voicemail on September 25. The person who answered the phone was dismissive, and when I spoke with the owner, I was made to feel as though the responsibility fell on me for not replying to the email or a text message. To clarify: I do not receive text messages from your salon. I did not reply to the email because I had already called and left a voicemail. It is your responsibility to check and respond to client voicemails. Additionally, I called today at 11:29 a.m. and was told I would receive a call back within 30 minutes. That call never came. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I respectfully request a full refund of the cancellation charge. I hope you will honor this request and reconsider how communication and customer service are handled in the future.
