I have been visiting coffee and doughnut shops for the Visit Jax Coffee & Donut trail, and this place was next on my list. I took my son here after playtime at We Rock the Spectrum. When we pulled up there was a parking spot right in front, although there is plenty of parking in front and in back of the shopping center. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner, as we found out later. He was super friendly, helpful, informative, and he helped us pick out a mini sprinkle donut and a maple bar. I picked a hot honey latte to pair with my maple bar, and he took time to make it while chatting with me. Since there wasn't anyone in the shop for a while, he took time to talk with me and tell me about the business, his family, etc. I felt at home there and was able to connect with the owner . I'm glad we stopped in to try the food and coffee and I hope to be back soon. read more

Much awaited 1st visit of '24 finally arrived today! The aroma of that freshly made donuts and hot coffee pulled me right inside. Owners and staff share their great smiles along with wonderful customer service. The sitting area while enjoying the hot Java and delicious donut is comfortable and the room is spacious. The interior is regularly decorated different throughout the year and adds to the relaxing ambiance. Fine dining desert for breakfast? Don't mind if I do! This donut was delicious and not too sweet. The filling was tasty and the crispy sugar on top was devine! The coffee was good and not scalding hot. I love that I didn't have to wait half an hour to drink it. My son had a hard time deciding which donut to choose and the cashier was kind enough to bring some out from the back so he could see all the flavors. He also offered him a free Mummy Wrap (pig in a blanket). My son decided on the strawberry fruity pebbles donut and he enjoyed it a lot. I work early mornings and anytime I have a particularly rough shift or just crave something sweet, Doughfee is my first choice stop on my way home. I love going to Doughfee for so many reasons, but the main two are the staff and the quality of the products Doughfee sells. As someone who works their first job before the sun comes up, I really value a business that I know will get me in and out in a friendly and efficient way. That, coupled with the amazing donuts and coffee they sell here, is the reason I keep coming back to Doughfee. I love donuts, but often times, I feel like there's a rock in my stomach after eating them. I've never felt like that when I've come here! My favorite donuts they sell are the coconut dreamer and strawberry fruity pebble donuts. I get one of them every time I come and they always taste how I want them to. It's light and airy and tastes so fresh that I can tell they use high-quality ingredients. I also think it's important to acknowledge how well-priced their donuts are. Most are $2.75 for your typical donut (strawberry, ube, coconut, maple bacon etc.) and the speciality are $5.75 (i.e. crème brûlée, pumpkin chai, seasonal offering donuts). If I were to have one critique, it's that I preferred how the coconut dreamer was made when I first started coming here. I like the vanilla icing and coconut on top, but sometimes I just want a lot of coconut and less icing. So I'll be honest and say I preferred it the first two times I had it when it was more of a glazed donut covered in coconut. Overall, love this spot and Yelp says I'm a regular now with how often I check in. Hope I get to go here for years to come! read more

I've been hearing good things about Doughfee and finally had a chance to stop in! The interior is adorable, there are a few spots to take photos with your donuts and coffee if you are a foodie. I came about an hour before close, so there weren't many donuts left, but I did luck out and get the last Ube donut. The one thing that really pushed me to come here was seeing that they have an Ube latte. I've had plenty of Ube desserts but never mixed with coffee! The barista was very sweet and asked if I wanted to add espresso in it. She also looked prepared to offer suggestions after I told her it was my first visit. (If I didn't already have the latte eyed up, I would have needed suggestions because their menu is full of flavors!) I also got to chat with the owner for a bit; he was awesome! Both the latte and donut were AMAZING! The flavor was so much better than I imagined! I'm glad I was finally able to stop in. I'll definitely be back for another donut and latte! read more

Doughfee has become apart of the Husband and I's weekend errand run. Nothing better than a slightly sweet cold brew and breakfast together to start the day off. We stay on the opposite side of town from this business but it is always worth the trip. The first time here we ordered a sandwich, egg rolls, a few donuts and a cinnamon roll. Husband enjoyed his cinnamon roll so much to the point he wanted to drive all the way back for a second one but we didn't as it was was passed their operating hours. Sandwich and egg rolls were made to order and tasted fresh. The next weekend we went back ( in hopes they would have their cinna-roll stocked) we ordered another Cold brew with Ube flavoring, and tried some more flavors of their donuts. The donuts were perfect, crisp, airy and not overly sweetened with the wonderful glaze they make. I visited Doughfee with my wife, a friend, and my toddler son about 6 weeks following their grand opening. The shop itself is clean with plenty of seating to hang out, enjoy a beverage, and eat some donuts. Arriving around 10 a.m., I was a bit disappointed to that they were out of plain glazed donuts (although they were later restocked during our visit). We bought six donuts and we each had a beverage, which ran about $33 (all donuts were $2.75 except for the Creme Brulee, which was over $5. Most drinks are around $5 apiece). The young lady who took my order was nice, but I had to repeat my beverage order to her 3 or 4 times before we were on the same page. We ordered three beverages: a hot cafe latte, an iced cafe latte, and a matcha lemonade, which took several minutes to come out, one at a time. Hopefully, in time they can speed this up. Doughfee's donuts are all raised, fluffy, and are a bit on the drier side- none of ours made it to the next day, because I had a feeling they wouldn't be tasty then. With all of that said, I'm very happy to say that I really enjoyed Doughfee's donuts (especially since they're five minutes from my house). Coffee glazed- on the sweet side, the coffee taste comes through Creme Brulee- the best of what I tried. A legit hard sugar crust on top full of delicious cream. Totally worth the $5+. A very unique donut worth visiting for. Cinnamon sugar- an old standby for a reason. Solid. Coconut- pleasant coconut topping, sweet, and tasty Powdered sugar- weakest of the bunch that I tried. Kind of a strange, hard crust on the donut, and not very flavorful. I'd skip it. My hot cafe latte was bold and smooth, and I thought my wife's iced latte was also very good. My wife, friend, and most importantly, my son all enjoyed their donuts (my two-year-old might have put away more donuts than I did). Doughfee is a great addition to the independent donut shops in Jacksonville. If they are this good to start with, I think they have the potential to grow into an even better shop down the road. read more

Stopped in here about 30 minutes before they closed. We originally went in for just coffee, but once we saw the Boston cream donut (only two left... everything else was sold out), we knew we had to try it. Great service, great donuts, great atmosphere! We came first thing on a Saturday morning and were lucky enough to try the creme brûlée donut. My kids got the chocolate sprinkle and strawberry sprinkle donuts and loved them. Also it was soooo nice to have a kid area - my kids spent an entire hour coloring and playing while my husband and I sipped coffee. WOW Doughfee is amazing!!! The donut flavors are fun but I challenge you to find a better tasting glazed donut anywhere. It comes down to the actual dough and they do it better than anyone!!! The owners are so nice, made us feel very welcome. They were sweet to our kids and I was so pleasantly surprised to find a kids play area with coloring and toys. Normally I feel nervous taking kids into a restaurant but we sincerely felt welcomed here. I got a cold brew coffee with sweet cream and it was delicious. They have a great coffee menu and I would love to try all the flavored lattes. I also wanted to order the Nutella latte and Vietnamese coffee, will have to come back soon to try those.
