I moved to this area several months ago and have been looking for a restaurant that has a wide…read morevariety of seafood. Specifically, steamed crabs, steamed shrimp, and oysters. Stadium Grill and Tavern fit the bill. I gave Stadium five stars - this is why: 1) They have what i consider a very nice location. They are on a quiet street. The parking area is ample. It is easy to access the parking lot and easy to exit it. 2) It's a non-chain restaurant and that's what I like. 3) My waitress, Carissa, was super sweet, and attentive without being intrusive. She took the time to chat a bit with me about the restaurant, and the area. Being new, I appreciated that a lot. She came to my table to get my initial order within about 2 minutes of being seated. I had my beer about a minute later. 4) I found the stadium to be warm, cozy, full of nice people who were a variety of ages. 5) I ordered a beer, and 1 doz. raw oysters to start. BOTH were icy cold. The oysters tasted super fresh and delicious, - they were huge and I enjoyed them immensely. I DO wish they carried Shock Top beer though! =) I also ordered the crab dip and was not disappointed. It arrived very hot with a huge amount of toasted, sliced baguettes. The crab dip was perfectly cooked, lightly browned on top. The only small minus I will give is that it could have used a bit more old bay seasoning - other than that? it was amazing. 6) The music selection was really great. At first, I was thinking it might be all country - but soon, I realized they were playing a varied selection. They may have had a jukebox - which would explain that - but I didn't see one when I was there. 7) Even though it is still Winter - I visited the outdoor area to see it and I'm sure it will be packed when the weather warms up. I can't wait - it just looks like the perfect place to enjoy seafood with friends! Lastly, the restroom was super clean and had a really nice, pleasant fresh scent. (and yes, i'm including this information because it's important) I have been looking for a restaurant to call a favorite since I moved to this area - and I think I found it here at the Stadium Grill.! Huge THUMBS UP!!!

BLUF: good food and friendly, prompt service. Large group…read moreof us went on a Friday night. The place was pretty full. For appetizers we got the loaded nachos, which are really good and made with a lighter, flakier tortilla chip than most are used to. The menu is a lot slimmer than many restaurants, but there is something there for most everyone. I had a Salmon Strawberry salad, which I highly recommend and which all who tried it recommend. It's big, so be ready for it. As a side I got risotto, which didn't taste bad, but was more like cheesy rice, not risotto. If you've had good risotto you know what I mean. The burgers were very popular, and the mango bourbon pork chop was very tasty. Crab cake sandwich was okay, but like all too many crab cakes I've had in the past, heavy on bread and light on good size crab chunks. They serve their drinks in plastic disposable cups, which is one thing I hate in any restaurant that is above Chipotle or similar level. The cups spill more easily, and frankly it's just not as pleasant a drinking experience. Probably doesn't bother others as much as it does me, but so be it. The server was very friendlym patient and knowledgable.

The phone number they have on yelp as well as Facebook does not work so you can't call them to place an order or to even inquire if they're open. And it seems they are NEVER OPEN. I have come to this place at least 12 times in the last 2 years and it has been closed every time. You would think on a Friday at 2pm they would be open right? No. It just sucks because the food is delicious but you just never know how or when they're operating. Facebook says they're only closed on Sundays but I've gone multiple time Mon-Fri between 12pm & 4:00 pm & have had no luck

The time I was in store, they had just opened, it's fairly small and they had a few tables to sit at. You walk up to order and I believe they will bring it to you at the table, at least they did when I waited for my to go order. I waited a normal amount of time for what I ordered. Both times I had boneless wings, the first time I had the Mango habanero Flavor- the actual wings were cooked well (could be crispier) but the sauce was not my favorite. It was really really overpoweringly sweet and really really spicy, just a bit too much of each part of the flavor. The second time we tried a couple different flavors- mild Buffalo, garlic Parmesan, teriyaki, and lemon pepper. Same experience, the actual chicken was good but some of the sauces were a miss. The buffalo was good, garlic parmesan pretty good, lemon pepper was way too lemony and salty, not peppery and the teriyaki was a very mild teriyaki flavor. We also had mozzarella sticks which were good. The food was prepared in a timely fashion and packaged really well in nice boxes, maybe just the flavors I chose weren't my favorite. I would give it another chance and maybe try some traditional wings/sauces and other menu items.

Food came out at just the right pace between courses. Ambience was only "ok"... I did notice that things looked a bit worn. And one thing that bothered me was that there were ceiling tiles that were badly water stained and sagging... nothing active, but it was very unsightly. Given that they are very easy to replace, leaving them there just made the place feel less "special evening" ambience to more like "a diner" which is a shame for a place i expected to be more classy. As for the food we had lots of positives to say. We tried the crab bisque appetizer which was thick and creamy with just the right amount of seasoning and crab meat. The portion for a first course was generous. We also got the steamed mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce. The mussels were cooked perfectly. They were plump, tender and flavorful the sauce was delicious. Be sure to ask for extra bread to soak up some of the broth and juices. The side salads were likewise generous portions, fresh and crisp. Very happy! The main courses come with just one side. I got the fried seafood platter with hushpuppies and my wife got the stuffed flounder with onion rings. The fried platter came with flounder, shrimp and oysters, with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. All were coated in a lightly seasoned breading that was crisp. Not overly thick. The hushpuppies, which other reviewers said were outstanding, I found to be on the sweet side. Crisp, yes, but overall just ok...I prefer mine more savory than sweet. The stuffed flounder was also very well done. Delicious. The flounder was cooked just right. Flaky and moist. The onion rings were thick cut, beer batter dipped. They were hot and crisp and the portion like everything else here was generous. In the end we did need a box to bring some of our entrees home. We left very satisfied. So I was pretty satisfied with the food and the service. Now if they could just do something to get the dining room as upscale as the food and service this would be an outstanding dining experience... thus only four stars instead of five.
