This is the reply of how they handle their cookies - "So, what we do is we bake a batch of cookies, fill up the tray in the store, and put the rest in the freezer so we can pull them out fresh as needed. I'm sorry they did not meet up to your expectations! I can offer you a $15 credit to try something else, or come back later once we have cycled through our stock. Whatever you want to do with it is fine!" I decided not to return and go to The Doughbox north of town where I've never had a bad cookie let alone old snickerdoodle, peanut butter, coconut ranger, molasses, and oatmeal raisin varieties. Service was patient and friendly. I believe there has been a change in ownership in the last couple of years.

Like most customers, I assumed the tips placed in those jars were going directly to the employees working behind the counter and making drinks during busy rushes. Finding out that employees reportedly do not directly receive those tips feels misleading and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The staff always seem to work incredibly hard, especially during rushes, and customers tip because they want to support THEM. If tip money is being used differently, customers deserve transparency about that. For me personally, this -- combined with other experiences that made me feel unwelcome -- has changed how I view the business entirely. I'll be choosing to support other local businesses moving forward.
