A self-aware donut snob, I typically like to bring donuts in while I am making customer visits throughout my travels. I carefully research the areas that I am visiting for the best independent local donut shops. If I cannot find one, I refuse to entertain "big donut" chains. They're garbage, as my donut shop owning grandfather used to say. I've visited Johnnie's a couple of times. I'm easy - 1 or 2 dozen and I let them pick the mix as long as there are a few glazed mixed in each box. Always a hit when I bring them in and they are always appreciated. Would I go back? Absolutely. I'd like to believe that none of them ever get thrown away. I always make the suggestion to not throw any of them away. Take them home so they don't go to waste. Pro Tip: Get there early. Johnnie's is a gem but it's no secret. The locals flock to Johnnie's to get their donut fixes and they know to get there early.
