As a "Diamond Member" my expectations are pretty high. Let's start with the good: Accessibility to in and off freeway ramp, pleasant secure key controlled room options, great room water pressure and reasonably clean rooms with tasteful well maintained decor as well as an exceptional restaurant. The vegan burger and vegan bun were well in portion with superb seasoning. Will -- my wait staffer -- managed his tables with professionalism and care -- making my meal most enjoyable. Now the bad: No close designated front parking slots for "Diamond Members" despite the large parking lot; Upon entering no pleasantries for " Diamond Members" such as welcome, here are your amenities-- one had to ask about parking, water, cookies, breakfast amenities, and the worst yet the room number mixup. I spent thirty minutes trying to get into a room that was first assigned to me by the online in advance staffers -- but switched in hours of my arrival to a lesser floor unbeknownst to me. The professionalism was totally missing on this shift -- no sorries-- Suggestions: More front desk training with a cue card for those who need it, hidden luggage carts, and clearly marked close front door spaces for Diamond Members.

If you like going back in time, specifically to the land that time forgot, then this is the hotel for you. Retro hall carpet from the 60s that is pulling away from the walls, creating a undulating effect was what first caught my eye. Gold peeling wall paper added compliment to the brown and orange room carpet, a nice throw back to a bygone era. Broken tile in the bathroom added an urban interest and a incessantly dripping toilet added a relaxing metronome throughout the wee hours of the night. Thrifting was a wise and green choice for the majority of the furniture in the room. It's nice to see items that would normally be thrown out being given a new home. And the view! Well, words can not do it justice thus the photo.

Not good from top to bottom. Old, dirty room that's is loud from elevators. No refrigerator. Dicey neighborhood.

Absolutely disgusting! One of the worst hotels I've stayed at of a "major chain". They gave me a room with black crap all over the place and didn't even apologize. The replacement room had a broken closet (doors completely off the tracks) and then a nasty shower. Employees showed no remorse at all and I'm a gold member! I cannot begin to fathom how they would treat a regular member. Maybe this is all just a cruel joke.

Keeping the lights off, so the Moths don't disturb me in room #820

The staff at the DoubleTree Hilton is nothing wrong with the staff. The only issue I had during my 3 night stay is , we'll maybe I was put in the side of the hotel that has yet to be renovated. The room was outdated and did not smell fresh & there were moths flying around the room. I stayed from Friday night May 19th until Monday May 22nd 2023. I did call the front desk on Saturday & Sunday night of my stay to see if I could get assistance, and politely both people that answered the phone was telling me to turn off the lights so it would not disturb the moths, Moths are attracted to light! I was told both times that they would send housekeeping to my room to help, perhaps housekeeping was too busy on my side of the hotel in other rooms helping guests get rid of their moths! Everyone in this hotel that works there is super friendly not a problem at all with the level of service from the staff . I was in room # 820 , if I opened my door and looked to the right it looked with old outdated carpets dirty & dungy, if I looked to my left, after about 50 - 75 feet the carpet looked a newer color blue and that end of the hotel seemed to have better lighting . Another problem with room 820 is the noise that comes from the floor above, you hear every footstep pretty loud. I was able to look at the pool area it looked really big with a huge selection of clean towels , the whole area seemed very well maintained and clean. There was a coffee pot in the room and the cafe? Downstairs served Starbucks along with many other breakfast items. I was in town attending a Pizza class at Wood Fired University so Eating out was not a priority.

My truck after getting broken into in their parking lot. these break ins are a known repeated issue and they refused to release footage.

If you're looking for a cool hotel a short walk from Union Station, The Maven is a great option. We were easily able to walk from the station with our luggage and our room was ready early! The vibe is very cool, eclectic, and modern. From the Airstream-style trailer by the front desk, where they give our churros at happy hour, to the great decor, to the adjoining food hall and cocktail bar- It was just what we were hoping for. A few notes: - If you want housekeeping, you have to ask for it. We didn't know this and were confused why the room wasn't getting refreshed. *Would love to see some small signage about this in the room or mention it at check-in. - Be ready to jot down all the perks when you arrive- from drink tickets for happy hour at the cocktail bar, to % off at the adjoining restaurant and bar, to a free drip coffee at Huck coffee (technically in the food hall? but literally just across the lobby), these are worth taking advantage of! Overall, a great stay and would recommend to others. Shout-out to Kodiak at the front desk who was lovely with all of our questions!

The location really can't be beat. You're right in the heart of LoDo. Coors Field is a few blocks from the hotel and Union Station (which connects directly to Denver Airport) is only about a 5 minute walk away. Tons of restaurants, bars, and things to do are all within walking distance, which makes it extremely convenient. When booking, I asked for a high floor, quiet room so I could work. Upon check-in, they honored that request and also upgraded my room from a Journeyman to an Innovator Suite which I greatly appreciated. That upgrade definitely elevated the stay! The Innovator Suite was fantastic. It had two queen beds, two TVs, a full sofa, wet bar, dining table, flexible workspace, and city views overlooking Denver's LoDo District. The bathroom had a large soaking tub, which I had to take advantage off. There's no balcony and while the wet bar includes a small fridge, it's not really functional for anything beyond drinks as there's no space for leftovers or larger items. You also get a token per night to redeem for a free drink at the bar during happy hour, plus free drip coffee in the mornings. Other perks include free churros during social hour, a courtesy car service within a 2 mile radius, and discounts at various shops. There's also a fitness center, although I didn't use it. There were some things missing though: no pool, no spa, housekeeping is by request only, and no breakfast included. Service throughout was excellent. There's 24 hour front desk service and everyone I interacted with was cheerful, helpful, and kind. Overall, a strong stay with great service, a fantastic room upgrade, and an excellent location, even if a few expected amenities were missing for the price. If I had to come back to Denver and the company was covering the bill, I would stay again. The location really can't be beat. If I were coming for a leisure trip with a similar budget, I'd probably look for a hotel with a pool and spa instead. This hotel is best suited for people who want to experience LoDo nightlife, catch a game, or just be right in the middle of everything downtown. The room I was upgraded to was probably much more expensive than what I actually paid, which definitely improved the experience. I'm not sure I would feel the same way if I had stayed in the original room I booked. 4.5 stars rounded down.

They had other types of food, obviously, but steak was in plentiful abundance over anything. The housekeeping staff was amazing and on top of their game. The room quality was very good and spacious; larger than most hotels' suites. The in-room bar and mini-fridge were not free despite being labeled an "honor bar." I'm not cheap; I have no issue paying. My issue is the deceptive marketing of the so-called honor bar. The room's furniture was not cheap, but it did appear tacky with the illusion of being of quality. On the positive side, the staff were polite and attentive, and the room was cleaned while I was out. The view was also very impressive. Overall, with all things considered, I'd pick a different hotel; there are better hotels in the immediate area with a lower price tag and the spa is not worth it, despite its attentive and fantastic service.
