The inside is beautiful, the dining areas and bar looked immaculate, the staff were friendly and attentive, so we assumed we would have an excellent meal. After getting our shrimp and artichoke dip appetizer, we realized the tortilla chips were stale and proceeded to eat the dip with just our forks. We shared a fried chicken breast main dish and a side Caesar salad. The salad croutons were picked off because we noticed those were also stale and chewy - this made the salad edible at least. Our chicken came out and we both immediately noticed it tasted funny, like a soapy dish water marinade. The breading was edible but sadly we couldn't make a meal out of it. So we left hungry and added this location to our list of places never to visit again when we are in the area. I don't know what this location is doing that can't be replicated from the other more popular location, but having the advantage of being one of the few restaurants open on Sunday, I would suggest management fix whatever is happening in the kitchen so they might succeed long term.

It was perfectly seasoned and the sausage was smokey and flavorful. The sides were not lacking in salt or butter. If I had one critique it would be that the cornbread tasted great but was dry in the middle...a little pat of butter inside would fix that. My Dad got the Hamburger Steak and, while I did not taste it myself, it looked amazing, and I noticed several others eating it too, which may mean that it is known to be good. Once the food arrived, however, I understood. They are making everything from scratch and to order. My charcuterie board had three amazing meats. The pork belly/bacon was still warm. The cheeses were equally as tasty, especially the truffle cheese. Mike's sandwich was super tasty and looked yummy. He said it was as good as it looked. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet.
