They prepare a full breakfast menu all morning, and a nice array of comfort-food the rest if the day. This was our first time here, and we were welcomed like regulars. We both felt like the fried fish, halibut i think, and we got one sandwich and one platter with fries. They served us hefty thick filets, lightly breaded, freshly fried and piping-hot. The halibut was mild-flavored, ready for our favorite sauces and seasoning. I like variety, and had some with salt and pepper, simple and delicious. We had some with genuine Tabasco, which to me is more flavorful than some of the sweeter hot-sauces, though i like those too. I ate it in the old style, which is to sauce the bread. It creates a creamy texture and makes it easy to get just the right amount of heat that I want with each bite. And Willy's served a thick creamy tartar sauce that is very satisfying. The fries were hot and crisped and quite generous. We liked Willy's welcoming staff. They seemed to like the place and the customers, and they seem to know many as regulars. And the customers filled the room with a soothing background of happy chatter. I can't tell you how comfortable it felt. We heard that breakfast fills up early on weekends, so we might not try to bring a large group during those hours. We will definitely be back :-)

The waffle was very dry and had too much flour to the point it wasn't edible. The fries were delicious and crispy.

At least that's my preference.

I was hired by Orlando very nice man. I worked there for about 3 weeks. Worst experience in my life. The day I started I was warned about this woman name Deena. Apparently she was a server and she became an assistant. She checks people in and out on the register. Most rude woman I have ever meet Several servers told me when I meet her just to ignore her because she is ignorant and rude to everyone. I came in on my 3rd day and meet her and everyone was right. Very miserable and rude. She treats all the servers here terrible. I have reported her to the labor board and she is being investigated. She is very rude and disrespectful. My daughter even came in to eat and she was treating her very rude. If you go eat at Double T Diner in Pasadena you will be treated terrible by the woman checking people in and out . Her name is DEENA. Rude, disrespectful, and ignorant. She has no right to treat people or any server that works there they way she does. For some reason she thinks she can talk to people anyway she wants. I have already called the labor board on her and I hope she gets removed from this business.she is unprofessional and an ignorant individual. The owner actually said Fuck you to me when I told him I was walking out after waiting 8 minutes to be seated . Apparently if you're by yourself being seated at a two person booth when it's busy is verboten! The food sucks and the management sucks even worse . Fuck me ? No Pal , Fuck you . I tend to get the same thing...patty melt... because the menu it so large I get overwhelmed but the best thing about the Diner is the commitment to community. They care about children with cancer. I've been to the Double T Diner in Pasadena several times over the years, and I always leave there feeling underwhelmed. Friends tell me they enjoy the place, so I occasionally go back hoping I'll have a better experience, but the food is just not very good. I guess the one thing they have going for them is that they're open very late. read more

I love greasy spoons like this and I'm sure I'm just missing something. They have a large outdoor seating area when the weather is nice. Perhaps burgers and beers are in order.

Overall I do recommend and I will be back to try the honey glazed salmon and the ox tails!!
