Honestly this place could get no start at all for a rate, listen and hear me out, I'm not thing to be a ken or Karen but I also cook myself for my family, and was taught from a young age, you cannot serve up food that garage like it's a day old and not expect anyone to notice, if your closing in a hr I understand but don't huff and puff and point and talk like there's a issue for taking a pregnant woman to eat. I recently ordered breakfast and the meal was so gross I threw most of it in the garbage. Since this was a carry-out it would have been a problem to return it. The Home-Fries were not home fries. It was more like a sliced potato soaked in grease. The French Toast was like a slice of bread saturated with butter and fried. My 12-year-old can make better French Toast. I'm very disappointed with this restaurant. I have lived in 9 different states and have dined at many different restaurants. While working in Atlanta my co-workers and I would often eat at the Buckhead Diner. I would give that restaurant 4 stars. When I moved to Maryland and saw the Double-T Diner it seemed to have a similar look so I thought the food might be as be as good. Wrong. I would give the this Double-T Diner in Pasadena one star. To be fair ... I'm sure this restaurant can provide some decent food, but breakfast would not be it. Honestly, I would not eat at the Double-T Diner if the food were free. I have been here twice. The prices are very reasonable and the food is alright. There are so many items on the menu, I think it must be difficult to maintain consistency. The waitstaff is sincere, but there are so many items, they don't know the menu very well (which is understandable because of it's enormity). First time: It was 'pasta' night. I ordered the penne/butter&garlic/italian sausage. It comes with a salad. The salad dressings seem to be made from scratch. I had the honey-mustard. The portions are more than adequate. I had to take some home (I'm 6'1", 260lbs and like to eat). My only complaint would be that there was a little too much butter/garlic sauce. After eating a bit, I noticed the bottom was kind of swimming in it...like I said, a little too much. Second time: I had the baby-back full rack of ribs with double broccoli (you get two sides and salad). The meat was very tender, fell easily off the bone, not too much sauce, not too little. I had a cup of coffee and a water. I like the old-time diner ambiance with all the chrome fixtures. The places appears clean from the dining point of view, and doesn't stink like burnt fry-oil (like many diners do). I imagine this place is fantastic at 2am, after a night at the bar, as they are open 24/7. As for "price for experience" ratio, I give it the 4 stars. It is a diner, not meant to be 'fine dining'. Don't order gyro with soup it's actually a pizza sauce with half gyro crap on top! Completely not what I was expecting then I returned it they wouldn't refund me bc I was told it was on a flat bread like pizza! Completely gross. Second time in I had to return something. Old people restaurant. Menu was way too big and food was bland and service was bad. I normally love little diners because you can get breakfast anytime and have a decent selection and are normally very laid-back service but that was not the case here. I get seated with my three children in a decently sized booth kind of small though. Normally this booth would not be bad but. There was a server station where they rolled silverware right behind me. I did not know this and I come to find out the server was reading my texts to my husband. I figure this out because when she finally came back to take my order and my children's order she stated, "I saw you still looking at the menu so I gave you more time." I told her we pre-much I decided upon the food right after she left our drink order. I constantly felt as though I was being spied upon to the point that I could not wait to get out of there. My family was going to Home Depot afterwards and I waited to go to the bathroom there. The person who gave us our drinks was amazingly rude, argumentative and aggressive. She said thinks along the lines as "I'm not your waitress". The waitress herself was kind, patient, and attentive. The only thing good about our meal were the coffee, the soup, and the French fries, everything else was yuck. The food was sub-par, served cold. The crab cake sandwich was not nearly on the level of Lexington Market's, just a mushy lump of tasteless sadness. The veggie wrap was mainly par-boiled rice, with a scant amount of burned onions. For our Thursday lunch my wife requested Double T in Glen Burnie. We have eaten here dozens of times over the years and the reason is simple - the food is good and you get plenty of it. I played key master and won twice so far it is much easier to win then at my local movie theater. even though one of the prizes didn't come out, I called them and came over and gave it to me right away. I think a few reviewers have found the problem at the Double T. None of the staff seem to care. The waiter asked how my breakfast was and I mentioned my eggs were way under cooked. Great experience until I paid for my meal. I was in the area because my boyfriend was participating in the 10k run across the Bay Bridge. With time to waste I decided to have breakfast at one of our fav diners, Double T. My waitress was the best and my meal was the usual delicious. I paid for my meal and the employee gave me my change in paper bills but not the change. I commented to the employee as he walked away that he can put my change in the coin cup by the cash register. The Pasadena Double T is a special diner that we have been attending for years. Always consistent quality and generous portions. Management and wait staff are very attentive and friendly. Pasta night is Tues with all you can eat and Monday is Steak night with half priced wine by the carafe. This week we had the Romanian Steak and the Baby Back Ribs. Both extremely tasty and they included soup or salad, potato and vegetable. Ribs were fall off the bone tender. Steaks and chops are charcoal grilled to order as are the excellent burgers. Lamb chops are available here which are harder to find now a days and they are delicious done in their Mediterranean style charcoal grilled. Menu changes frequently and the daily specials are always a bargain. Seniors get a terrific bargain each week day starting 3pm with a special value menu. Selections are under $10 and include soup or salad, main course, vegetable or potato and refillable coffee or iced tea. We also like the many sea food selections and the crab cakes are unusually good - lots of crab and done under the broiler. Many dessert selections. Some favorite desserts are the carrot cake, chocolate fudge cake, Smith Island chocolate cake, the baklava and the very unusual baklava cheese cake. The bread pudding is home made and for a lighter treat the fruit tarts are very tasty and bargain priced but usually only available on the weekends. Strawberry cheese cake and other cheese cakes are great and sugar free cheese cake is usually available. Always try something different and you will find a new favorite dish. read more

The food is always good but the place is so dirty its hard to relax! The windowsills are caked with dust & dead flies. The tables are wiped down with a dirty rag. And when the bus boy comes by with that dirty cart & rag its very unsettling. The little juke boxes on the tables don't work but are still there collecting dust, grease and whatever else guest have coughed up on it. I would think the department of health would've made them shut down and clean by now. This place is dead to me until they clean up their act!! read more
