The owner is so nice and friendly!! The place is clean and the pizza is fantastic!!! Much better quality than the "big franchises". They use fake chews and fake sauce. Please support this place, they are worth it read more

Double Play Pizza is an excellent, very small, pizza shop located on Mission Oaks Boulevard near Vons and Patron Mexican Bar & Grill. They offer a good variety of pizzas, subs, wings, and spaghetti at good prices. They also have lunch specials at good prices from 11:00 AM to 3 PM. While I tend to go to Topper's more often, particularly for lunch, due to their fantastic salad bar I go to Double Play more often for dinner since they offer all of their pizza varieties in personal sizes and not just small, medium, and large sizes. While Double Play is mostly a takeout pizza place they do have five small indoor tables if you want to dine in. In addition, they offer a small selection of different soft drinks for sale. So, if you're looking for a great pizza in Camarillo's Mission Oaks neighborhood I strongly recommend Double Play Pizza. read more

This is a locally owned business, and I absolutely love their sub sandwiches! Super fresh, delicious, and generously sized. One of the owners is there working daily, which really shows--they clearly care about quality and making sure everything is the best it can be. Definitely a spot worth supporting! read more

Got 2-Med/3-topping pies and was happy and satisfied. We grabbed a Bottle of Crème soda too and with a Military Discount, couldn't be more satisfied to support a local Biz. Was greeted with a pleasant smile and was asked how my day was and it felt very genuine. These are the peeps that will right a wrong if your pie isn't how your order should be. read more

Double Play Pizza - 3-topping of NuM NuMs! - Pizza Near Me - Camarillo, California

I wanted to try a mom/pop pizza shop because well, there's a uniqueness to their dough and freshness. Double Play delivers. It has a thin crust version of their Maui pizza that was very good. Their cheese pizza was OK. Wish the crust was thinner. It was decent for the pizza. Lastly, I do want to note they have a 3.5% credit card surcharge. And they also did not accept the $10 coupon found on their website. Because of that, that is why I leave a 4-star review. If money is not an issue, go try it out! read more

Just ordered and such a pleasant guy on the phone , we always love double play . Half combo half Maui. Yum'

Food is always great. The owner and the staff are always friendly and the pizza is delicious and fresh. I have been coming here for years, and have never had a bad experience.and even though my construction job has finished in the area and has taken me to Palm Springs I make sure to always stop here read more

Double Play Pizza - Personal pizza with pepperoni and sausage - Pizza Near Me - Camarillo, California

Great pizza! The sauce has little tomato chunks in it, and it's a little sweet so good The crust is amazing! Crunchy on the bottom but soft on the inside and cooked perfectly all the way through. Also I ordered on my way there, and it was coming out of the oven as I walked in the door, perfect timing! Ready exactly when they said it would be. I highly recommend! Worth driving out of my way and passing all other pizza places in Camarillo. My new go to pizza! read more

Love this place. Small mom and pop type shop with great specialty pizzas, sandwiches and wings. And gluten free options! The kids ask for this every time I ask what they want for dinner. read more

Service was good but pizza, spaghetti and meatballs was just average. Nothing wrong but nothing special like texture, freshness, flavors, etc. I was hoping for better and to make our new pizza place. read more

My family and I ALWAYS buy pizza here. An incredible family owned business. So much better and definitely more fresh ingredients than toppers. If you want a gourmet and satisfying pizza instead of commercial, this is it. read more

I'm a NY pizza snob, so take my review with that in mind. This is not NY pizza. This is the kind of pizza that might work for a 10 year old's birthday party. But TBH you'd be better off with any chain restaurant for that considering how expensive this place is for how little you get. All the ingredients were cheap, the sauces watered down, the dough and cheeses all low quality. The cooked dough was wet and soft, hardly any herbs or spice in the overly sweet pizza sauce, and nothing special about the cheese or toppings. A large pizza... a LARGE... is 14" and costs as much as a 17" pizza at other joints. Not cool at all. Bordering on ridiculous. Had a few other non-pizza dishes which were all plagued by the same cost cutting measures - watered down sauces, smaller portion sizes than you would expect, low quality ingredients, all for top dollar prices. Hard pass, will never return. Save your money and skip this one. read more

Good pizza good service uhhhh good cheese order ready fast I like the sauce as well lalala

Their Mediterranean pizza is excellent!! I also like the BBQ pizza. They are ready in 15 minutes.

Awful Combo pizza that had no cheese on it. Just a bunch of flavorless mush on an obviously frozen crust. And, it was expensive and in this case, a Little Caesars pizza would have been the better option. Fake pizza, no bueno...pass. read more

Some friends live in the area and seem to order from here regularly and they like it. We had ordered a couple pizzas and an order of wings recently and all was enjoyed. We ordered two medium pizzas (basics - one cheese and one pepperoni) and an order of wings. The pizza's were nicely sized, sauced and ingredients were not skipped out on. The pizza's were cooked well and I enjoyed the crust. The pepperoni pizza did look a bit oily/greasy compared to the cheese pizza, but it was still great! The wings were crispy, good sized and had some good meat on them; the wing sauce was just right! The order came out timely and customer service was friendly and easy to deal with. Parking is easy since this business is located in a large shopping center. All of these qualities make for a good return and experience. read more

I've been getting my pizza here for 20 years and it's consistently good. I like plenty of great tasting sauce on my pizza and theirs is the best. It's friendly and family owned. read more

Hands down my new favorite pizza place, maybe favorite of all time. I have a pretty specific order when it comes to pizza and they nailed it. Everything about it was amazing. The staff was incredible nice. To top it off is is super affordable. It's so good I'm contemplating ordering it again for dinner tonight. 10 out of 10. Order: Hawaiian pizza, no bbq sauce, swap marinara sauce for creamy garlic sauce, add jalapeños and cooked well done, crispy. Small house salad with ranch. Thank you again guys, absolute perfection. read more

am pleasantly surprised by my non traditional pizza tonight. Enjoyed more than I expected. The garlic sauce had a thick texture, but was flavorful. Wish the toppings were more evenly dispersed. Am not used to paying over 20$ for a medium size pie! It was ready promptly. Had to reheat at home but some of us like cold pizza, think midnight snack. Am not sure I would order again since I am a pan crust fan and that is not an option here. read more

I called today at 11:30 and no one was there. The machine picked up and left my order on the machine with my name and phone number and my order. 15 minutes later when I called back to verify my order someone did answer and told me they opened late and they didn't have anyone there to take my order. I had called because I was on a time crunch. The guy (it was a guy) who answered asked if I wanted to place a new order now. The owner has complained about how hard it is to find help to me many times in the last 3 years. She works hard and I know times are hard because nobody wants to take a menial job like answering the phone. The food is great. But iffy - not answering the phone and not being able to deliver are not going to get them very far. My order was over $30 and so they are now out of that for the day since I didn't have time to wait once I got there. As I said, my favorite pizza place with at least 20 others within driving range and I'm flexible most of the time. I hate to leave a negative review but think others should be warned about the situation. Ambiance - hole-in-the-wall pizza place that has three tables inside and no outside seating. read more

This is the second time we tried them in three weeks, to be fair after ordering a works type pizza the first time we wanted to try a one topping on our second time to give them a fair try. They boast using whole milk mozzarella, I believe that they do so this is a positive, if they used a couple more ounces on a large pie, that would be great. The crust on the large pepperoni was not made in house, the gum-line was awful, the sogginess equally awful. The flavor and texture is nothing you would want again or crave. This quality is what you would expect from little Cesars $5 pizza but not a place that charges $30 bucks for a one topping and small dinner salad. Hey Double Play this advice is on me, so you're welcome! 1. Use quality dough not pre-fab dough skins. 2. The sauce is bitter and too wet, hence the gum-line 3. Top the pizzas, don't skimp 4. Salad food costs are extremely low so when you skimp on a salad the only thing you're accomplishing is discouraging people from ordering an item with high profit margins...consumers are smart, give them credit, make it good and we will love you! Pizza biz 101, like I said you're welcome. read more

The pizza is wonderful. The service is friendly and your order is always ready in the timeline that they tell you. Reasonably priced!

OMG.....the worst pizza I have ever had. We have not ordered pizza to be delivered in forever, and now I remember why. I read reviews on this place and was really in the mood for a great pizza night. $27.00 for a pizza with hardly anything on it and we asked for thin crust but never thought it would be so thin you could actually see through it. I ordered large and it was like a medium that you would order anywhere else. It was really a joke. I called the guy to ask if they sent a smaller pizza by mistake. I also said to the guy that it was awful and he said, "oh thank you for letting us know " and hung up. First time ordering from there and will never order from there again. Bad customer service. read more
