The food is as good as it gets out here in Big Country and rivals any of the fine dining restaurants in Abilene ( and we've tried them all). There are standing weekend specials (Shrimp Night on Thursdays, Prime Rib night on Fridays), as well as weekly specials including the popular "cocktail of the week", which is usually sinfully tasty. The servers are adept and attentive and the bartenders are great but be careful--sitting and chatting with the other locals at the bar can be addictive--you may have to keep coming back!

This was a nice surprise in a small town. Ordinarily, we would have passed on this place because…read morewe travel a lot and are finicky about the restaurants we eat at. They have to have at least 4 full stars on Yelp! and at least 4.5 stars on Google. We also look at the number of reviews to ensure the ratings are not all from the owners and their families. The burgers were great! I had a chili cheeseburger and my wife had a bacon cheeseburger. The fries were not a big wow, but they were fine. The inside is cozy and the owners are friendly. I would have left a full five stars, but it took quite a while for our food to reach our table. We were the only people there when we ordered. While waiting for our food, a group of three workers arrived, sat down, got their food, and finished their food. I guess you have to call ahead if you are really hungry like we were...

Through the main entrance is a covered outside dining area, suitable for a large group of diners. A second door goes in to the main restaurant. The waitress welcomed us to choose a table and took our drink order. Beer is available here, but we had iced tea. The tables and chairs were clean but some of the bench seats were in need of repair. The restaurant was a little dark but had nice background C&W music. I ordered a shredded beef barbecue wrap. My spouse ordered a Turkey sandwich. My wrap was very good. My only suggestion would be to warm the tortilla instead of serving it cold. My spouse stated that the Turkey was very tender and the sandwich was great. We appreciated regular tea fill-ups on this hot day. The staff were dressed very casually which was okay but perhaps jeans and a shirt or Logo T-shirt would have been more appropriate. The parking outside was great. Plenty of room for trucks and RV's. Overall, a good place to eat. The restaurant needs a little upgrading. We will eat there again.
