You also need to make the appropriate amount of eye contact with Erica. We were standing at the register clearly ready to purchase our items, but Erica told us she "didn't know" we wanted to check out because we weren't looking at her. When I questioned how that made sense, she decided I was being "aggressive." Thankfully, I started recording after that accusation. The video shows me speaking to her calmly and normally, despite how unnecessarily difficult she was making a basic checkout. Then Erica announced that she didn't have to sell us the shirt. Fine! We started to leave. A woman who was there in a police uniform actually had to step in and encourage her to just complete the transaction. And somehow it got even more ridiculous: Erica took my payment and then didn't want to hand me the shirt I had literally just paid for. What should have been a two minute checkout turned into an entire production over eye contact. I've never experienced anything like it. Maybe customer service just isn't Erica's ministry.

That's girl math for you. What I love, other than the great deals are their work pants. There was only one brand who made work pants that fit me well, are comfortable but can be pricey. As recently as last year, I have found that Old Navy makes great work pants. The stretchy, comfortable types that feel like leggings but are loose enough to pass as real work pants. I love them and I have found them in my size at this very store. I even found a few at a really good deal (less than $10)! Not only that but Old Navy have upped their game in the athletic wear department. On my recent trip there, I found several leggings and workout top that looked and feels excellent. It is now a usual stop to peruse their athletic wear whenever I am in store. Checkout counter moves fairly quickly here. I haven't had to wait longer than maybe 5 minutes. We will be taking my hard-earned money elsewhere…read more We have spent hundreds of dollars at this store over time, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Last year, I purchased a suit for my son that ended up being too big. The weekend before Easter, I brought it back in with the receipt and tags still attached to have it altered. I paid $50 to have the pants altered. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until Sunday morning, while getting my son ready for church, that I had accidentally left the suit jacket in the store. I the next day, but the store was closed for Easter Sunday. First thing Monday morning, I went back and spoke with the manager, Cari. She took my information, I noted the description of the jacket, and told me to give her a couple of days to look into it since it was right after the holiday. Days went by with no follow-up. When I called midweek, she said she hadn't seen it. I followed up again on Saturday, and at that point she told me "it's not looking good," but she would continue to check. I even suggested reviewing the cameras or speaking with the security guard who assisted me and handled my items when I first arrived. In the end, I was told the store is not responsible for "personal items left behind." This was not just any personal item, it was a brand new jacket purchased from that very store, never worn. I even brought my receipt and showed proof of purchase. To make matters worse, I was then told the suit didn't come with a jacket, which is simply not true. When I originally purchased it, there were plenty of matching jackets on the rack. I've worked in retail before, and this is not how situations like this are typically handled especially when there is clear proof of purchase and an opportunity to review what happened. Now I've paid for alterations on pants that are essentially useless without the jacket and the alteration cost more than the suit itself. This situation was handled poorly from start to finish, especially the lack of communication and follow-up. I will be returning all of my recent purchases and taking my business elsewhere.

Not only was I not greeted but more like ignored by Lauren at the front counter. After she avoided looking up at me as I stand in front of her at the register, I went ahead and said hello and that I was there for an online order. She proceeded to let me know she'd get with me when she can that she had many things she already was doing. I let her know that's okay and began looking around. I could tell she was either having a bad day or overwhelmed (Although in the store there was maybe 3-4 people including the fitting area). Once I seen her head to the back I thought I'd be nice and head back there so she could do a measurement without having to walk to the counter and then back to the bra area. Not only did she rudely ask for my ID when I asked her to do the measurement while still holding the bag in the middle of the store she did not offer me a bag to put my online purchase in nor did she ask me to check it. Lauren conducted the measurement in the most demeaning way she had me hold the measurement tape to my bust and spin around and when I went "to fast" she yelled at me to stop. She then told me my measurements which seemed completely off because I recently lost a significant amount of weight and that was bigger then any bra size I've had since wearing a bra for 17 years . I asked her was she sure and seen her look up to make a face at her coworker at the register as if I shouldn't have questioned her. I went ahead and thanked her and did not purchase a bra there but instead went and got measured somewhere else which was 5 sizes smaller then what she told me and bought a bra on torrids website. If I shop with torrid ever again it will not be at this location, which is disappointing because It's the closest and I have shopped here for years at this location. I've had many encounters with Lauren, she is never welcoming or nice but today she was plain rude and disrespectful.
