I started to browse the racks; I came specifically for a pair of dress pants. The store seemed to mostly hold casual wear and it was not very easy to identify sections of casual wear, business attire, etc. I'm not sure if it is just this location or all of Lane Bryant, but finding any business attire was difficult as most of the clothing seemed to be just tops (not blouses) and loungewear. Of what was priced, the prices seemed astoundingly high and not even everything had a price. As I browsed, I made my way deeper into the store near the counter where I saw two employees talking to each other. As I continued, they greeted other guests who'd come in that were of similar skin tone as them, but not myself or the few other women that had my skin tone. I found a few pairs of slacks that might work, so I approached the staff to inquire on fitting rooms. I was told to just pick a room and she pointed toward a corner of the store. I pulled a few pants off the rack in the fitting room also, where you hang what didn't work out, as it was quite full. That fitting room rack is actually where I found the pair that I ended up purchasing. I made the purchase solely in that I didn't feel like going to more stores and the pants I found should work. There is plenty of parking outside but it can get pretty hectic when the parking lot is crowded as it makes it difficult to maneuver getting out.

Short: Ordered furniture at end of December 2020- now being…read moretold August 24, 2021. 8 MONTHS waiting on furniture. Details: Ordered a sectional a the end of December. We were told by the Macy's sales associate that it would be a while before it arrived- maybe April or May. Received an email in February from Macy's stating they would let me know when my furniture was in the warehouse. Seems like all is moving along & would arrive about April/May...the same time we were told by the Macy's associate at time of order because expected delivery times is often a deciding factor when people are purchasing furniture. At the end of April- I decided to check in on my order and was told the order was now expected at the end of August. Eight months waiting on furniture!? We expected a delay of about 3 maybe even 4 months due to COVID, but after being told April/May and then doubling the wait time without a word is BAD BUSINESS. Was sooo happy to find a sectional big enough for our family & within budget, however, this ordeal is Definitely leaving a very bad taste for Macy's. In fact- after we get our furniture, hopefully in August- this will be the last thing we ever buy here (if they don't go out of business first). Especially after being told we lose the deposit if we cancel our order. If we find a couch we like that's deliverable before August, it will be worth the loss or small claims court (I got time) or the CC bank will eat it, and Macy's can stick the couch you know where. It will be in stock for the next sucker. More informative updates and more accurate estimations of delivery time from sales associates on our furniture would've avoided this. We ordered this based on an April/May delivery- NOT August.

Tried several pairs--none quite right. A sales associate in a fringe jacket "helped" -- she grabbed a few pairs, but one was three sizes smaller than I asked for. As I went back into the fitting room for a second time, she said, "Round two, huh?" Came out with two pairs I was considering. She found different sizes, then asked if I wanted to "take them home to try on." I said I live an hour away. Her reply: "So no then?" I asked another associate to hold the jeans while I decided to pay full price for jeans that still had waist gapping. As I left, the fringe-jacket associate went to the counter and started talking about me to the staff. Every item I tried on was re-hung or folded neatly on the chair -- I worked retail before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, so I know the struggle of running fitting rooms. Madewell's brand is built on inclusion, confidence, and helping every customer find their perfect fit -- values I've always appreciated. Unfortunately, this experience didn't reflect that at all. I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome instead of supported.
