It's about 95 degrees out we are all dressed up and god forbid one of the men in my family have on flip flops. Outstanding cocktails. This might be my new fancy evening hang. Firstly... the espresso martinis... so good!! We tried all types of cocktails past weekend from whiskey, gin, tequila, and vodka. All the drinks came out beautifully and even the smoked drink came out in a smokey cigar box to add a little extra showmanship. We didn't order food however I think maybe next time I might get a few small plates to go with the fabulous drinks. Our server was also incredibly helpful and made sure we always had whatever we needed even with a full bar. The size of the bar is still pretty small but even when it was packed... it didn't feel claustrophobic and the atmosphere was very sexy. Everyone talks about the cocktails here, but recently someone recommended the food so we decided to check it out. There's an annual $10 membership fee which allows you to bring 3 guests with you. We were seated right away and it wasn't crowded since we were there for an early dinner. For cocktails we tried Sweater Weather, Strawberry Fizz, and the Hildago Cocktail. All of them were pretty good, but the Hildago was my favorite. For dinner, four of us split a bunch of different plates. We got Steak Tartare, Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Fried Chicken, Scallops, Beet Risotto, Venison, and Mushroom Ravioli. Everything was delicious. My favorites were the Beet Risotto, Fried Chicken, Sweet Potato Gnocchi, and Steak Tartare. I wasn't that impressed by the Venison. It was good, but not as unique as everything else. This was some of my favorite food in Charlotte. It's definitely on the pricier side, but it's worth it for a nice night out. I would definitely recommend coming here for the food. Finally got around to trying dot dot dot after having it on our Yelp list for a while to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. We had a 7:00 reservation on a Saturday night. The vibe of this place is exactly what you want out of a speakeasy! Perfectly tucked away in a very unassuming location, dark, nice music with lots of beautiful vintage decor. We were sat at the bar, which was a lot of fun as our bar tender, Stephon was very engaging! We ordered the hot box and dyslexic heart. Both were fantastic! For food we had a small charcuterie, mushroom risotto and the roasted carrots. All of the food was tasty but the portions are very small for the price. I think the risotto was $18 and wasn't even enough to fill one person up. The charcuterie was a nice pairing and one of the better I've had in Charlotte. If I come back to dot dot dot, I think I will do so as a before dinner thing as it would cost a fortune to actually fill up here. My favorite food was the bucatini carbonara! It came with a raw yolk and the pasta was perfectly al dente! It was very flavorful and creamy and I enjoyed every bite! Tonight was absolutely fabulous and it's mainly due to the amazing crew at Dot Dot Dot!! When we arrived it was close to 1am and they close at 2am. The service was still amazing. We were quickly greeted and taken to seats at the bar. There weren't many patrons inside and they quickly cleared out. It was so cool having the whole place to ourselves. We got to really talk to Andrew our bartender and Steven. We discussed the new hours, the new menu and the very diverse array of liquors they have available. Andrew was so knowledgeable and entertaining. Andrew is an amazing bartender. We had a Bumbu Rum daiquiri, the Penicillin and after much conversation about it we tried the "Boulevardier" of Broken Dreams. Amazing!!! I was so impressed by all of the drinks. The daiquiri was so simple with only 3 ingredients but so tasty. Both the Penicillin and the Boulevardier were very refreshing. The Boulevardier has the signature lemon wedge with the burned Dot Dot Dot emblem on it and the Penicillin had a huge square ice cube that provided a fun optical illusion. I would definitely recommend trying any of these drinks. I have to get back in soon to try the new food menu and try to conquer the complete drink menu!!! All in all I'm in love with Dot Dot Dot. This place is worth the search! Once inside you're transformed into the early 1900s with a candle lit hallway to a secret door entrance and then to a speakeasy bar that had such a unique vibe. First off I'm glad she did make a reservation because without one, you can't get in on the weekends, it's just that booked. This is a cool speakeasy-type place behind the park road shopping center. It's difficult to find because there are absolutely no signs for it. It took us a few tries to figure out if it was in the main area or in the back by Amelie's. It's in a little corner on the backside of the hardware/furniture store. When I went at the end of November, they were doing a special where the membership fee is only $5 for the year instead of $10, so they may still be doing that. The inside is nice and fancy-looking, and they have a solid range of cocktails to choose from. We were fortunate enough to get a table with a booth as we originally got seated at the bar. I went with the old fashioned and my friend went with a tequila drink but I forgot what it was called. I love Dot Dot Dot! This bar has my most favorite craft cocktail I've ever tasted, Lily Wants a Pony! It was the first drink I ordered here. It has strong rosemary flavor with lime. Has a hint of sweetness and is refreshing. The atmosphere here is amazing. It was pretty well hidden for a first timer and made the speakeasy experience feel very real. The interior is well designed. I did feel like I was transplanted to a nice bar in New York. The prices for drink here were pretty reasonable in my opinion. Almost every cocktail on the menu was at or below $15. We liked that the tables are spaced out well so you're able to have privacy which makes it a more intimate night out. We each had two cocktails but my favorite was "Lily wants a pony". It was a vodka drink that also had Riesling, rosemary and lime. So refreshing!
