This place is very busy and might be popular with the locals but I found it just meh! We got there within 10 mins of opening and waited FOREVER for food and service. Our poor waiter was by himself and until we were there for probably and hour and a half before we saw help for him show up. We did finally get our food and it was just alright. I think the tuna didnt have much flavor and the tempura appetizer tasted as if fried in old oil. My sons garlic chicken was more breading than chicken and basically the frozen dinners from the grocery store give you better meat to breading ratio. It could just be an off day. There were others in the place and their sushi rolls looked good however mine was just publix level. Not what I expected from a Japanese sushi restaurant. I have traveled all over and this is some of the best sushi I have EVER had. Pro tips: get the sunrise roll ADD jalapeño and cream cheese, salmon and yellowtail nigiri and ask for her special sauce. I am a bit of a sushi snob and did not expect this place to blow me away the way it did. Food was disappointing to me. I guess I'm used to bigger rolls with nice pieces of raw fish. Our rolls were small and the fishes on top were paper thin. My bulgolgi beef bento box did not have the bulgolgi flavor that I'd known of. I liked the fried calamari best. The batter wasn't that great but the calamari was tender with a bit of chewiness. Service can be a bit slow for take out and dinning in but be patient and call your order in well in advanced. It's worth it. My favorites are the fried rice and the Debbie Sushi Roll.
